Narrator: In the 21st century, we have many ways to travel. One of the popular ways to go is by automobile. Whether it's a short drive to the supermarket, or a long trip down the highway to visit family in another state, you'll see millions of people in automobiles.
Nascar Racers: *Going around the Daytona Speedway*
Narrator: But people also use cars for racing. Nascar is a popular example, while others prefer formula one, or drag racing.
Drag Racers: *Racing each other in a Viper, and a Porsche*

Stop the song, and play this: link

Narrator: Then there's street racing. This one is illegal, but back in the 20th century, everyone was doing it.
Old Lady: *Startled by a fast Thunderbird*
Narrator: Well, almost everyone. We'll take you back into the 60's. More specifically, 1966.

Five cars are seen racing each other. At the front of the pack is a red Mustang.

Narrator: The protagonist of our story is winning this very race right now.

The song fades away as he crosses the finish line.

Rob: *Stops next to two women, holding a trophy with six thousand dollars*
Woman 1: *Puts the trophy, and money in Rob's car* Here you go handsome.
Woman 2: Congrats on winning.
Racers: *Stopping behind Rob*
Racer 95: That's the last time he beats us at a race!
Racer 853: I'll get him if it's the last thing I do!
Rob: *Drives away*

A crowd of people block the path of the other racers, allowing Rob to escape.

Rob: *Looks at the reader as he drives* Hi, I'm Rob Daley. I'm your protagonist. Right now, we're leaving Illinois, because I got to move on. Explore new horizons, and win more races.

SeanTheHedgehog Presents

A CokeTheUmbreon Fan Fiction

Mustangs Of Missouri

Starring CokeTheUmbreon as Rob Daley
Brett Dejneka as Mark Whitaker
Seth Macfarlane as Noah Fox
Brenna Gostylo as Sarah Danning
Dwayne Johnson as Paul Handarez
Tim Allen as William L. Hunsacker
Bri Burke as Hilary Hunsacker

Rob continued driving until he got on the freeway. He was making his way towards Missouri. During his trip, he passed other cars, along with a few signs, pointing out many different areas to stop. McDonalds, Gulf, dealerships for Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Chrysler, until finally, he reached a bridge that would take him across the mississippi river, into St. Louis.

Rob: *Turns right, onto another highway*

Once he made his way into the city, the Gateway Arch was to his right, and Busch Stadium was also in view to the left.

Rob: Now if I can get off this highway, and into a gas station, I'll be good to go.

Eventually, he found one. It was by four train tracks, and several people were also at the station. The song fades away as he stops next to a gas pump.

Rob: *Gives the attendant a ten dollar bill* Fill it.
Attendant: Yes sir.
Ladies: *Walking towards Rob*
Lady 63: Hi, you got a nice car.
Rob: I get that a lot. Any of you know where I can find a race?
Lady 55: A lot of the racers meet up at Hyde Park.
Rob: I hope one of you can watch me win someday.
Attendant: *Puts the nozzle back next to the pump* Your tank is full.
Rob: Thank you.
Attendant: *Gives Rob three singles*

Hyde Park. Rob arrived here to search for more street racers. He found someone sitting next to a yellow and grey station wagon.

Southern Man: Can I help you boy?
Rob: As a matter of fact, you can. I'm looking for some competition, in street racing.
Southern Man: How many races have you won in this here state?
Rob: Well, none actually, but that's only because I just came here for the very first time.
Southern Man: You ain't ever set foot in Missouri, huh? Okay, you gotta get to William L. Hunsacker. He's the one you need to talk to. You'll find him on Cass Avenue. He lives there, about a block away from the street. He sets up the races, and even throws in a few extra bucks for us if we do some jobs for him. They're well worth the risk. *Chuckles*

Rob thought about what the man said, and it did worry him. He was only concerned about the dangerous jobs. Nothing else shook him up that bad.

Rob: *Knocks on the door* This better be the right address.
William: *Opens the door* What do you want?
Rob: I understand you have something for me.
William: Such as?
Rob: Street racing.
William: Yeah, I think I can get you hooked up. We got a race tomorrow starting at the Beaumont High School. I want you over there at 9 AM, on the dot.
Rob: No problem. *Walks away*
William: *Closes the door*
Rob: *Walking back to his car*

Nightfall was closing in on St. Louis, and when it did, Rob checked into a hotel.

Rob: *Laying in the bed* Fifty bucks a night sounds very reasonable. Especially when you consider the champagne. *Pours himself a glass of champagne* Mmm, very good. *Looks at the bottle* Imported from The Netherlands, 1961. It's not even a decade old, and it still tastes good.

The next morning, Rob arrived at the Beaumont High School. Five others were there, including someone else with a Mustang.

Mark: Hey. Who's the new guy?
Rob: Rob Daley. I see you also drive a Mustang.
Mark: Yes. They seem to be popular cars.
Rob: You win often?
Mark: Yes. Let's keep it that way, okay?

William arrived in his Cadillac. His daughter was sitting next to him.

William: *Steps out of the car with his daughter* Good to see that y'all made it. My daughter here has the map of the course. Hilary, pass 'em out.
Hilary: Sure thing father. *Giving the six racers maps*
Rob: *Gets his map*
Mark: *Gets his map* Even if you do have that map, it'll do you no good. I will still win.
Rob: I was only trying to be polite, but if you want to antagonize me, two can play at that game.

The other four racers were getting prepared. It wasn't until they heard the doors closed, that the two men realized that the race would begin soon.

Rob: We'll settle this like men. Best of luck to you.
Mark: I don't need luck.
William: *Watching the six racers get prepared for the race* Racers! On your marks!
Racers: *Starting their engines*
William: Get set!!
Hilary: *Holding a green flag*
William: Go!!
Hilary: *Waving the flag*
Racers: *Taking off in their cars*

First up, they had to take a right turn onto a curvy road. They had to keep going straight until they reached an auto repair shop.

Rob: The convertible won't help with aerodynamics, so that's a plus for me.

After going left, and right, the road stayed straight. Rob and Mark were in front of the others.

Mark: *Looks to his left, and stares at Rob*
Rob: *Salutes Rob as he slowly takes the lead*
Mark: *Gets behind Rob, and drafts behind him to get closer*
Rob: *Looking back at Mark*
Mark: *Lightly taps the back of Rob's Mustang*
Rob: Desperate times call for desperate measures, but this guy is too desperate.

They reached the repair shop. Now they had to go left.

Rob: *Drifting on the left turn*
Mark: *Going too fast. He stops before hitting a tree*
Racer 52: *Braking as he rams into Mark*
Mark: *Shifts into reverse*

As he tried to go backwards, the racer behind him tried to go forward. The two cars were stuck, burning rubber as they pushed against each other.

Mark: I need more room to make the left turn! *Watching the other cars pass him*
Racer 52: *Backing up*
Mark: *Going backwards, he bumps into the other racer, and goes forward*

By the time he got to the finish line at Clay Elementary School, everyone was waiting for him, and the other racer.

Rob: *Holding a gold trophy, with six thousand dollars inside it*
Mark: *Steps out of his car, angrily staring at Rob* Beginner's luck!
Rob: Who said I'm a beginner? I maybe new to this area, but I've been racing for years.
Mark: Let's settle this with another race. The two of us!
William: I think that can be arranged.

On an abandoned racetrack in the shape of a figure 8, Mark and Rob were taken over there by William. Two cars from 1960 awaited the drivers. One was a Porsche, and the other, a Corvette. They were next to each other, facing the opposite direction.

William: I am giving the Corvette to Mark.
Rob: That's fine, I'll still win.
William: Your objective is to race as fast as you can until someone crashes. Loser has to pay for damages.
Mark: Now I'll show you what I got.
Rob: I can't wait.

The two men got in their cars. William had the flag for them.

William: Ready?! *Waving the flag* Go!!

Song: link

Mark & Rob: *Flooring it. They quickly start their way around the figure 8*
William: *Watching the two men in their cars*

Sarah Danning, Mark's girlfriend, arrived in her car, a black Citroen.

Mark: *Giving Rob an angry look as he passes him*
Rob: *Staying calm as he makes a left turn*
Sarah: *Runs out of her car, and goes towards William*
William: Sarah, nice of you to stop by. Came to see your boyfriend?
Sarah: I came to see the man who beat him yesterday.
Mark: The money you won from that last race will soon be spent on the dents of my car.
Rob: Don't get optimistic in there. No one's crashed yet, but it certainly won't be me that crashes first.

They had a near-hit as they passed each other in the middle of the 8.

Sarah: This is making me nervous.
William: This is making me excited.
Mark: I'm coming for you. You better get out of the way, or you're a goner.
Rob: *Watching Mark come towards him without going left, or right* He's trying to play chicken. *Steers to the right to avoid him* Wait. *Looks at the front of his car* That slope might help. Next time he comes for me, I'll run towards him myself.

They got on another straight stretch, and were heading straight towards each other.

Mark: I won't turn.
Rob: I'll stay straight.
Sarah: They're not getting out of the way!
William: Oh, this is going to be messy.
Mark: *Hits the front of Rob's car, and goes airborne. His Corvette lands on the ground, upside down*

Stop the song

Rob: *Stops his car, and gets out*
Mark: *Climbs out from under his car*
Rob: *Walks over to Mark with William, and Sarah* I'm afraid you lost again.
Mark: You tried to kill me!
Rob: You did that to yourself. Should've moved out of the way.
William: This'll be at least $500. I'll have the total bill sent to your house later this evening.
Sarah: It's a good thing I got here when I did, huh?
Mark: *Looks at his girlfriend* Yeah. Let's split. *Walks away with Sarah*
William: You're making a very good reputation for yourself, and you haven't even been here for a week. I got something else for you tonight. You remember where I live?
Rob: Of course.
William: Then come on over at 6 PM.
Rob: Right. *Walks away*

Rob arrived at William's house. They were inside, drinking bourbon.

William: I want another Porsche. A newer model.
Rob: You mean, you want me to steal one?
William: Yes.
Rob: I have to admit, I've done a lot of street racing before, but no one has ever asked me to steal a car for them.
William: Times are changing, street racing is no exception.
Rob: Where do I find it?
William: I'll take you to it. Let's go.

Just north of St. Louis was a town known as Jennings. Rob was taken there to get the Porsche for William.

William: This ain't bootlegging, but this is what racing's all about. Get back to my place quickly, and avoid trouble with the law.
Rob: Sure. *Gets out, and walks towards the Porsche. With a pair of lock picks, he gets ready to steal the car*

It was dark, but a police officer spotted him. As soon as Rob took off, he got his sirens set, and followed him.

Song: link

Rob: Oh boy. The one thing I'm not supposed to do, and it already happened. *Turns left*
Officer 55: Delta-39, chasing a grand theft suspect. Green late model Porsche, northbound on Helen Avenue.
Rob: *Turns right* That road was shorter than I hoped it would be. *Sees the road turn to the right* And it's taking me back to the same road I was on earlier, what the hell?! *Turns left, driving on the train tracks*
Officer 55: *Stops, watching a train follow Rob*
Engineer: *Blows his horn*
Rob: *Looks back* What do you know? Someone else is following me.

He quickly got to a grade crossing, and turned right. The song fades away as he drives down the road.

Rob: Glad that's over. *Continues driving back to St. Louis*

The next morning, Rob appeared at another race. Mark was also there, along with several others. This time they were on the western side of town, on South Skinker Boulevard.

Racer 95: Hey. I heard you beat Mark at a 1 on 1.
Racer 53: Yeah, how did it happen?
Rob: It was on a figure 8. Mark and I had to race around the track going in opposite directions, until one of us crashed. He hit the front of my car, and landed on his roof.
Racer 95: That's how you won?
Racer 53: Genius. I heard you also stole a Porsche for Mr. Hunsacker.
Rob: Did you actually see me do it?
Racer 53: I think so. That was perfect timing with the train.
Rob: *Nods*
William: *Arrives with Hilary in his Cadillac*
Hilary: There's that new guy again with the red Mustang.
William: That's Rob.
Hilary: Is he single?
William: Possibly. Give the racers their maps.
Hilary: *Gets the maps out of the glove compartment* Right away daddy.

The two of them walked out to greet the racers.

William: Good morning everyone. While Hilary is handing you your maps of today's course, I want to point out that you will be required to pass a railroad crossing. On your map will be an ETA of two trains. Use the information to your advantage. We'll see you at the finish line.
Hilary: *Handing Rob his map* I hope you win again. *Kisses him on the cheek*
Rob: *Blushing as he watches Hilary walk back to his dad's Cadillac*

Ten seconds later, the racers were off. As they drove south, they needed to turn left onto Wells Drive.

Mark: *Behind Rob, slowly catching up*
Rob: *Watching Mark catch up*
Racer 67: *Passing Mark*
Mark: *Pushes him to the left*
Racer 67: *Goes left, he quickly turns around, and gets back on Wells Drive*
Rob: There he goes again. First me, then he hits someone else. *Looks in front of him* Here comes the turn for Hampton Avenue. *Drifting to the right*
Mark: *Drifting behind Mark* It takes two to tango.
Woman 54: *About to cross the road, but runs back onto the sidewalk when he sees three cars come towards her*
Rob: *Looks back at the woman* Crosswalk, use a crosswalk.
Woman 54: *Sees six more cars race past her*

They had to make another left turn, going onto Sulphur Avenue.

Rob: *Sees a railroad crossing ahead. The lights flash as the gate goes down* Oh, not this again.
Mark: *Floors it, and slowly catches up to Rob*
Engineer: *Blowing the horn on his train*
Rob & Mark: *Make it across easily*
Racer 67: *Gets hit by the train, and spins out of control, into a warehouse*

The other six cars had to stop to wait for the train to get through, but the train also stopped, because of the car it hit.

Mark and Rob turned left again after passing another railroad crossing.

Mark: *Hits Rob, making him move towards a riverbed*
Rob: *Pushes Rob back to the right*
Engineer: *Driving a passenger train. He blows the horn as he gets towards a railroad crossing*
Mark & Rob: *Look at the railroad crossing to their left*
Rob: We gotta go through that crossing.
Engineer: *Blowing the horn again, but he sees the two Mustangs going very fast towards the crossing. He blows the horn three more times*
Rob: *Drifting to the left*
Mark: *Hits part of a bridge while driving fast*
Engineer: They're not stopping! *Applies the brakes*

Brakes: link

Mark & Rob: *Pass through the crossing*
Engineer: *Watching the Mustangs race off* Hooligans. *Turns off the brakes, and continues driving his train*

After passing yet another railroad crossing, Mark and Rob had to turn right, going onto Manchester Avenue.

Rob: Not far now.
Mark: *Watching the other racers catch up* They must have been tired of waiting for that train.
Rob: *Turns left, and then turns right into a parking lot*
William: *Waiting with Hilary*
Others: *Stopping behind Rob*
Rob: *Steps out of his car*
William: Congratulations Rob, you are the winner yet again!
Rob: Feels good.
Hilary: *Giving Rob seven thousand dollars* I need a boyfriend. I want you to be the one.
Rob: Name the place you want to meet up, and I'll be there.

Song: link

Rob met up with Hilary at a fancy bistro called Vin De Set.

Hilary: *Sitting with Rob at the bar*
Rob: So, where's your Dad?
Hilary: He dropped me off here. I'm all yours for tonight.
Rob: He doesn't want you back home?
Hilary: *Giggles* He does, but not until tomorrow morning.
Rob: If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?
Hilary: 21. You look like you're in your 20's too.
Rob: I'm 25.
Hilary: Perfect.
Rob: Yeah?
Hilary: I like my men, a little older.
Rob: You don't say.
Hilary: I do. *Slowly leaning towards Rob, preparing to kiss him*
Rob: *Slowly mowing towards Hilary*
Mark: *Kicks the door open, and pushes two women out of the way* ROB DALEY!!!!!!

The music was turned off as Rob looked at Mark.

Hilary: What does he want now?
Rob: By the looks of things, I'd say he's after me. Again.
Mark: *Walking towards Rob, and Hilary* Maybe I didn't make myself clear when we first met! I am the winner! Not you, not anyone else!! You beat me in one more race, and it'll be your last!!
Rob: This couldn't wait until tomorrow? Can't you see I'm in the middle of a date?
Mark: Your hands are empty.
Rob: Not that kind of date.
Mark: Well you remember what I just said. It's for your own good. *Walks away*
Hilary: I never heard anyone say that losing is for your own good before.
Rob: Well they do say that there's a first time for everything. What was it we were about to do before he barged in?
Hilary: This. *Pulls Rob towards herself, and kisses him on the lips*
Rob: *Blushing, his eyes are almost closed*
Hilary: *Smiles as she looks at Rob*
Rob: This is a dream come true. *Unconscious, he falls down*
Waiter: *Walking towards Hilary* What did you do to him?

Over at William's house, Hilary came in with Rob.

William: What happened?
Hilary: All I did was kiss Rob, and he became unconscious.
William: You've got the raunchiest personality in the world, you know that?
Hilary: Daddy-
William: It doesn't always work like that. Try to show more compassion, and caring, instead of a constant sexual attitude.
Hilary: But all I did was kiss him. I was thinking about taking it a step further, until this happened.
William: Alright, leave him on the couch, then go to bed.
Hilary: Yes Daddy.

Rob woke up at William's house, but it was empty. All he found was a note, left on his stomach.

Rob: *Grabs the note, and begins to read it* That's an odd place to leave a note. Oh boy.

You missed today's race, but to make it up to you, I have something special planned tonight. Don't go anywhere until I get back. Signed, William.

Rob: I wonder what he wants me to do now.
William: *Walks in with Hilary* To answer that question, you will steal another car for me.
Rob: How did you-
William: It's an Oldsmobile this time. You'll have to go back in Illinois to get it. Does this concern you?
Rob: No. I was about to ask, how did you hear me from outside your house?
William: I didn't. I just assumed you read my note.
Rob: Well, you were right.
William: I think 6 will be a good time for you to go. *Hands Rob a piece of paper* Here's the address, and the directions.
Rob: Thanks.

This time, Hilary drove Rob over to the car that he was about to steal.

Hilary: *Kisses Rob* Daddy just doesn't know when to quit with this Grand Theft. Don't tell him I said that.
Rob: I was thinking the same thing to be honest. *Gets out* See you later.
Hilary: *Drives away*
Rob: Okay, time to get this over to William.

As Rob began to unlock the car with his pair of lock picks, someone was watching him from inside the house.

Woman: *On the telephone, calling the police*
Rob: *Gets inside the car, and starts it* Piece of cake. *Drives away*
Woman: He's leaving right now. Again, it's a brand new Oldsmobile. It's red, and the license plates are HIG-47K.

Song: link

Rob: *Gets on the highway, driving back to St. Louis*
Cops: *Heading towards Rob*
Rob: Well, looks like I spoke too soon. *Floors it*
Cop 70: He's heading back to Missouri.
Cop 42: We don't have much time then. Get him!
Rob: *Passing a station wagon*
Cops: *Following Rob*
Station Wagon Lady: *Sees the two cop cars speeding towards her* Oh dear. What do I do?! *Spins out of control*
Cops: *Stopping*

Stop the song

Cop 42: We lost him.
Cop 70: *Gets out of his car to speak with the lady in the station wagon*
Rob: *Laughing* I can't believe I pulled that off. *Enters St. Louis*

At a police station, men in expensive suits were talking about something important. Two of them, were Noah Fox, and Paul Handarez.

Noah: We've been informed about a car theft that occurred across the river in Illinois.
Paul: Whoever that driver was, was last spotted in our town. The car that was stolen was a brand new Oldsmobile. We believe he'll be stealing another car. I want at least one car with two officers on every block throughout this whole city. I don't care if anyone has to go through overtime. No one can have vacation time until this suspect is stopped.
Noah: That includes even us. Now let's get out there and find the grand theft suspect.

Meanwhile, in the southern part of St. Louis, William had Mark, Rob, and six other racers meet up in Dutchtown. The race was about to begin in front of a cafe, on Meramec Street.

William: You all have your maps. Once y'all finish your breakfast, we can get started.

It only took a few minutes for all the racers to finish, and soon, everyone was in their cars. Their engines hummed, waiting to be put to the test.

William: Okay, on your mark. Get set! Go!!
Racers: *Taking off in their cars*
Hilary: *Waiting in the car*
William: *Gets in his car, and drives*
Hilary: I think Rob's going to strike again.
William: You do, huh?
Hilary: Yes, I do.

Up in the front of the pack, Rob was in first with Mark trailing close behind.

Rob: *Turns right*
Mark: *Drifting as he gets close to Rob*
Rob: Traffic seems pretty heavy today.
Mark: *Taps the back of Rob's car*
Rob: Typical Mark, just typical.
Mark: *Rams the back of Mark's car*
Rob: He's getting more physical.
Mark: *Pushes Rob into a tree, but crashes into a bus*

Both cars were totaled.

Rob: *Gets out of his car, and looks at Mark*
Mark: Well, look at that. We both crashed.

Song: link

Rob: *Dives on Mark, and punches him repeatedly*
Mark: *Pushes Rob off of him, and stands up* You wanna fight? Bring it on.
Rob: *Punches Mark in the face*
Mark: *Kicks Rob, watching him fall down*
Rob: *Pulls Mark down towards him, and punches him in the face again*

They kept fighting until they heard sirens.

Rob: Cops. *Running away*
Mark: *Following Mark*

They ran between a house and a supermarket, and disappeared as the first squad car arrived. The song fades away as an unmarked car stopped nearby.

Noah: *Gets out with Paul*
Paul: Those are the Mustangs alright. We got a few reports of them street racing.
Noah: Get the license plate reports to the DMV. We need to find out who these two are.

Rob and Mark made it to a telephone booth.

Mark: I gotta call my girl.
Rob: You do that. I'll keep an eye out for the cops.
Sarah: *Reading a Superman comic as she answers her phone* Hello?
Mark: Sarah, are you busy right now?
Sarah: Not yet. What do you need?
Mark: I need you to come pick me and Rob up.
Sarah: That rat who keeps beating you at those races?
Mark: Look, I know we've had our differences, but I'm willing to let that slide, if he is.
Rob: *Nods*
Mark: Please come pick us up. We're on Giles Avenue in Dutchtown. We'll be waiting for you at the intersection with Chippewa Street. Can you make it?
Sarah: If you make love to me later tonight, I'll do it.
Mark: Tonight, and tomorrow. Please hurry.
Sarah: Deal. *Hangs up*

When she reached the intersection, the two men were waiting.

Sarah: We picking up your cars?
Mark: No.
Rob: We had to ditch them, or be arrested.
Sarah: Well where can I take you?
Mark: Why don't we go back to Vin De Set?
Rob: Good idea.

Song (Start at 2:48): link

Sarah was inside Vin De Set with Rob, and Mark. As they had a few drinks, they continued talking to each other.

Rob: Now that we're no longer rivals, does this mean I can win without making you angry?
Mark: Yeah, I don't care anymore. I think this will make you happy by the way, I decided to stop ramming into you.
Rob: Good. Very good.
Sarah: Without your Mustangs, how are you boys going to race?
Rob: If we talk to William Hunsacker, I think we can find something.
Mark: William L. Hunsacker? The one who sets up our races?
Rob: Exactly.
Mark: What if he says no?

Song: link

Rob: I'm dating his daughter. She could convince him to change his mind.
Mark: And what if that doesn't happen?
Rob: She'll help us herself.
Sarah: I can help too if you want.
Mark: Thanks babe. *Kisses Sarah*
Rob: Now, let's all enjoy one last round of bourbon. On me.

William sat down with Hilary in front of a television set. The two of them were watching The Andy Griffith Show.

Rob: *Standing with Mark, knocking on William's door*
William: I'll get it. *Walks over to the door, and opens it. He is surprised to see Mark, and Rob* You two finally decide to get along?
Rob: We were hoping you could help us.
William: Oh yeah? How?
Mark: Let us come in, and we'll tell you.
Hilary: *Watches William return with Mark, and Rob* Rob! *Runs over to him, and kisses him*
Mark: She really loves you.
Hilary: *Angry* And what are you doing here?
Rob: Hilary, it's okay. We've set our differences aside, and decided to work together.
Mark: Which is why we're here Mr. Hunsacker. After today's race, Rob and I lost our cars. We were wondering if you could help us out with that.
William: So that's why you need my help. Well, I found two high performance cars, perfect for you to get in tomorrow's race. If you're lucky, they'll still be there. *Looks at Hilary* Will you be okay on your own for a while?
Hilary: Yes daddy.
William: Then I'll be back. *Walks out of the house with Mark, and Rob*

Later that day.

Paul: The DMV reports just came back.
Noah: And?
Paul: We were only able to ID one person's location.
Noah: What?
Paul: Mark Whitaker. Lives with his girlfriend on Sullivan Avenue. The 2nd guy, Rob Daley, doesn't live anywhere.
Noah: He's homeless?
Paul: But he does have the money. We got reports from Illinois that he was street racing over there for months. He doesn't buy anything unless he has to. Within two years, if he keeps winning races, he'll be a millionaire.
Noah: Well that doesn't pardon him from breaking the law. The same goes for Mark. We need to find those two, now. Get your belt, and your .38. We're going undercover in my car.

William took Mark, and Rob towards the two cars. They were back in Jennings.

William: The moment you enter St. Louis is very important. You will keep the cops off your tail.
Rob: What if it's highway patrol, or state police?
William: Then you worry, but I doubt that'll occur. Good luck.

The two men got out, and William drove away.

Rob: I'll take the Mercedes.
Mark: That works out well. I wanted the Plymouth.
Rob: If nothing bad happens, stay on West Florissant Avenue. Otherwise, try to lose them on the smaller roads.
Mark: At night? I won't have any trouble doing that.

Not far away, Noah and Paul were waiting in their car.

Paul: Thanks for the coffee earlier.
Noah: Sure thing. Now we just wait for Rob to come towards us. Keep an eye on him in case he turns right instead.
Paul: Already on it.
Rob: *Following Mark out of the parking lot. They turn left and are heading towards Noah, and Paul*
Noah: There he is.
Paul: *Looks at Mark* That was Mark Whitaker in the Plymouth.

Song: link

Noah: Alright, we'll call for backup to get him. We will stay on Rob. *Following Rob, he puts his police light on*
Rob: We've been spotted.
Mark: That's an undercover cop. *Floors it*
Rob: *Takes a left through a parking lot, and goes onto Jenning's Station Road*
Mark: Good luck Rob.
Rob: *Looks back at the police car. He drifts to the right, going on Switzer Avenue*
Noah: *Stops as a station wagon cuts him off. He turns right, passing the station wagon, and follows Rob*
Rob: *Turns right on Dianthus Lane*
Noah: He did it this time. The road goes right, and he'll be back on Jenning's Station Road.
Paul: Unless he heads for the dead end.
Rob: *Going straight, heading for the end of the road*
Noah: Hey, you're right.
Paul: I know what he's doing. He's going across the train tracks.
Rob: *Goes into the grass, and across the train tracks*
Noah: *Goes across the train tracks, but gets a flat tire* Ah!! *Hits the dashboard* He's getting away.

Stop the song

Paul: Maybe we should forget about him, and focus on Mark.
Noah: *Looks at Paul in anger* You're absolutely right. Let's forget about a carjacker, and focus on someone less important.
Paul: It was only a suggestion.
Noah: I'm going to find a phone booth to call for a tow truck. *Walks out of his car, and stares at his flat tire* Son of a bitch!

Next morning at King's Fried Rice, Rob and Mark met up with seven other racers. William had a big race set for them.

William: Okay. The nine of you will race three laps around Fairground Park. You will go around the park clockwise, so if you turn right instead of left when you get on North Grand Boulevard, you will be going the wrong way.
Rob: I think we got it.
William: Then good luck.

The racers walked towards their cars.

Mark: Were you able to make any upgrades?
Rob: Just some new tires, and I removed the bumpers. There wasn't much time to do anything else.
Mark: William said they're high performance. Some upgrades were probably already made.
Rob: We'll see who has the better upgrades. *Shakes Mark's hand* Good luck.
Mark: You too.

After 15 seconds, Hilary was standing in front of the others with a green flag.

Hilary: Ready! Set! Go!
Rob: *Takes off with the other racers*

They all turned left, and began racing each other around the park.

Plymouth Lady 57: *Honks her horn at the nine racers passing her*
Rob: *Turns right*
Mark: He's in front of everyone, again. *Drifts to the right*

At Beaumont High School

English Teacher: *Watching his students take a test. He hears the cars, and looks out the window*
Student 54: I can't concentrate with that noise.
English Teacher: There were only nine of them. I don't think they'll pass through here again.
Racer 9: *Driving a brand new Thunderbird. He turns right*
Racer 63: Where the hell is he going?
Racer 9: *Stops next to a police car* Rob's there, and so is Mark.
Cop 98: We got 'em this time. *Turns on his sirens as he turns around to follow the Thunderbird*
Racer 9: *Heading North*
Rob: *Going 100 miles an hour on Fair Avenue* Must be my lucky day with traffic. It's holding the others back for me.
Racer 9: *Stops with Cop 98 on Lee Avenue*
Cop 98: *Gets out with a megaphone, and looks at the cars stopping around them* This is a roadblock, in an attempt to stop illegal street racers. Please remain seated in your cars until given further instructions.

Rob and Mark just turned onto Lee Avenue. Mark was slowly catching up to Rob.

Cop 98: *Talking on the radio* The roadblock at Lee and Prairie is set. We'll contact you again when the two of them are captured.
Police HQ: Acknowledged. Good luck.
Rob: *Sees the cars stopped in front of them* Perhaps it's better to go on Kossuth Avenue. *Turns right onto Clay Avenue*
Mark: Ha! The race is mine! *Driving on the right side of the road*

It was going well for Mark, until...

Lady 56: *In front of Mark, in a Chrysler*
Mark: *His eyes are wide open as he brakes, but he's still going too fast. He hits the lady's car, and goes airborne, landing on the roof*
Police: *Running towards Mark*
Cop 98: Mark Whitaker has crashed, I repeat, Mark Whitaker has crashed. We need an ambulance, and tow truck right away.
HQ: 10-4, what about Rob Daley?
Cop 98: No sign of him yet. We probably won't even see him again.

Rob went to visit Mark at the hospital.

Mark: *Laying in a bed* The doctor says it'd be better if I wasn't in a convertible.
Rob: That's the second time you landed on the roof. I hope it's the last.
Sarah: Me too sugar.
Mark: Thanks honey.
Rob: I wish you two a happy relationship.
Mark: Why don't we do something together once I get out of jail?
Rob: I hope we can. I'm moving onto a different city. Might stay in Missouri, but for now, I want to keep going west.
Mark: Well if you ever return to St. Louis, come say hello to us.
Rob: I certainly will.

Rob walked out of the hospital. When he got to his Mercedes, he saw Hilary standing by the front.

Rob: Hilary?
Hilary: Hi Robbie. Guess what?
Rob: What?
Hilary: My daddy told me you were heading out of town, and he wants me to go with you. He gave me 20 grand just to get married with you.
Rob: Any idea where you want to get married?
Hilary: How about Kansas City?
Rob: Let's go there right now.

Song: link

The two of them got in the car, and Rob started driving down the road, bound for Kansas City.

Hilary: What else do you want to do when we get to Kansas City?
Rob: I want to stay there for a while. After a week or two, we'll move on. Explore new horizons, and win more races.

Everyone got out of their vans to explore the camping site before setting up the tents. There was a crystal blue lake complete with a canoe tied to the post of the bridge, a hiking trail with evergreen pine trees, and beautiful, snow-capped mountains. "This place is lovely!" Alexandria exclaimed as she took some photos. "It really is." Replied Madison. Gordon was so awed by the stunning color of the lake that he asked Madison's aunt, "Hey, can we swim there now? Can we? Can we?" Madison's aunt replied, "Woah, take it easy, dear! We still have to pitch the tents and set up the barbecue grill....

Two months after Butch's defeat and arrest...

It was the last day of school for Alexandria, Madison, and Connor. The three were very excited that they were finally going to spend the summer break together. Alexandria said, "This is going to be so much fun, guys! I think we should do something this summer to celebrate our victory." Madison replied, "That's a great idea, Alexandria!" "I agree, love." Said Connor. So the three teenagers sat on a bench outside the school and thought hard about what to do this summer. After several minutes, Alexandria decided that they and their families should go...
