the only reason I ever even thought they truly left was because their whole family seemed to think that! But I didn't think they would let them face the Volturi without them

I couldn't imagine reading Breaking Dawn without Alice and Jasper, and I figured SM couldn't either, so I knew they'd come back. And it was in the best way, to! When they come back, it's my favorite part in the book:

When I read that I got goosbumps at Aro's part. I can so picture that in a movie!!

I remember reading it .. and I remember actually crying, the fact they left and might not come back really upset me, but I buried my Nanna yesterday so that maybe why (I only got the money to buy the book a few weeks back, and finished reading it in 2 1/2 days) as she only died 11th January -- but Alice is my favourite character, so .. yeah ..

Running off and betraying the rest of the Cullens didn't seem consistent with their earlier portrayal, so I didn't believe that. I did think Alice had seen something in a vision and was acting on that though. Not hunting other half-vampires blindly.
