Sunlight blinded me as someone drew back the curtains, awaking me from my brooding dreams of blood and war.
"Serenity, was that really necessary," I said rolling over.
"It was not me that did this cruel thing," she said laughing.
I opened my eyes and she was sitting cross-legged on my be, mirth barley contained.
I sat up, "Then who-" I felt hands slide over my eyes.
"Guess who," said a voice that was as smooth as silk.
I smiled, "hmmm, I have no idea," I grabbed the arms and threw her over my shoulder on to the bed landing on top of her.
Alyssa gasped as I fell on top of her, "My, my, my that was exciting."
"Indeed and what a beautiful morning this is," I said never taking my eyes off her.
Serenity laughed and hopped off the bed, "Ill just leave you to it."
I shifted as I watched her leave, and Alyssa gasped again bringing my attention back to her.
"My Lord!" she said blushing, "Are you sure this is appropriate? You are not wearing clothes."
I grinned at her, "Thats a risk you took my Lady, when you entered my chambers."
"Well then I might as well use this to my advantage."
"What about waiting tell after the wedding?"
"Ive changed my mind," she said, giving me a sly look.
"Then I am yours to command, do with me as you wish."
"Id planned to anyway."
I nibbled her collarbone as my hand made their way over her body. She wore a simple mid-morning sun dress with one strap over the right shoulder. I slid it off and worked the dress down over the soft mound of her breasts to gaze down at her gorgeous figure. How I could have treated her badly is beyond me now.
I rose up a bit to allow her to slip the dress of the rest of the way off.
She lay there in the mid-morning sunlight, naked as her name-day save her small clothes. I kissed and licked my way down her body until I came to the line of her underwear. I felt her shift in anticipation as I grabbed the lining with my teeth and began to pull down.
Serenity poked her head back through the door, "Keirrn, before you go any further, the Jasper Wolves are here for you."
"Cant it wait, why would you bother me now?"
"I wouldnt little ones, but they said it was important and their minds are too new to their bodies for me to make sense of what they are thinking."
"Fine, damn it, tell them Ill be there momentarily."
I sighed and rolled off Alyssa, cursing my foul luck and the Jasper Wolves under my breath.
"We shall continue this later," she said whispering it into my ear.
I jumped out of bed and through on my small clothes, under-tunic, and leather tunic. I also put on my thick padded leather breeches.
I called over to Alyssa, who was now dressed again, "Love, I need you to help with my armour, The breastplate is all I can do the rest."
She smiled, "Since I am to be you Lady Wife I better learn to do this now."
I put on the black-tinted grieves, shin guards, and thigh-plates by the time she held the chest plate for me to be strapped in.
"Alright, you just connect the two plates together and strap them to each other at the buckles. Good now the same at the hips."
As she tightened the straps on my breastplate, I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked imposing and scary, it made me smile. The sun reflected of the black-tinted steel as I pulled the surcoat over the breastplate.
My emblem stood silver in a field of black, a rose caught in the jaws of a red snarling wolf. As long as I was The God King of Red this symbol flew on all our war banners above those of the other Lords.
After I checked that everything was in place, I snorted in satisfaction and walked through the antechamber where I often met with others over business, to confront the Jasper Wolves.
I kicked the door open and stormed in with Alyssa close on my heels, putting on an air of impatience and dissatisfaction.
Lilly and Humphrey cringed as I walked in, but other than that the former Alphas seemed unaffected.
I glanced at Kelly and Blair as I entered. I picked up my sword in its sheath and strapped to my belt as Alyssa walked among them.
"These are the wolves from the world Alec went to?" she asked, brushing Garth's arms with her tail as she passed.
I almost laughed as I watched her mess with them, but I managed to keep a stern demeanor.
"They are, though why he begged me so desperately for me to let him return I do not understand. But that is of no moment now." I stared at all the Jasper Wolves in turn.
"So tell me, why would you demand to see me? What could be so important?"
Kate took a step towards where I was standing, "We will not be your pets!"
"That is what you thought was important? And what makes you think that you have a choice?"
"Because we have the same rights as any of the citizens here, we found a law clerk to help us." she smirked at me.
"But you are not citizens, you were a gift from The Black Prince. You are a possesion, not person. The same goes for you all."
She stood, staring opened mouth at me. She had been so sure.
Alyssa walked around me swishing her hips invitingly at the male Jasper Wolves and try as they may they couldnt help but watch.
I smiled at them as Alyssa came up from behind me, wrapping her arms around my chest and resting her chin on my shoulder.
I thought a moment, "Tell you what, maybe I can get some use out of you. Alec," I said to the young wolf standing just behind his father, "you are almost full grown, you will be my personal squire, do you know what this entitles?"
"I do," he said in a low tenor just on the verge of being a baritone.
"Wait a minute," said Kate, "you cant jus-"
"You will be silent," I thundered, "Garth, you will squire to Blair, she is a titled knight and a High Lord, she has a castle with many holdfasts on her lands. Do you understand?"
"I do," he said with an unhappy look on his face.
"She is also my sister, so you would do well to please her."
"Brother," said Blair, "I will train as I will without your interference."
I inclined my head to her.
"Lilly," I said continueing down the line, "You will attend my Alyssa, and see to her every need, this is a very honored position. Do you understand?"
"I do," she said glancing at Garth.
"As long as you remain in this palace you will share quarters with him, same goes for Kate and Humphrey, however Alec will remain with me at all times."
Humphrey and Kate started clamoring at once.
"I SAID SILENCE," I yelled, "you do your son a great dishonor, to be a squire to a god is unheard of and the greatest honor anyone could hope for should he be knighted."
That quieted down, but they both looked unhappy.
I continued, "Humphrey, you will attend to Serenity, whether she be in wolf form, or dragon, you will do what she says and cater to to her every whim, Do you understand?"
"I do," he said quietly.
Alyssa padded over to where Serenity was lounging on the couch, "Oh Serenity, we both have new play things."
Serenity then engaged her in a quiet conversation that involved a lot of giggling.
"And Kate," I said, "you will squire to Kelly, since you two know each other you will not need to time to get to know each other. Though not a High Lord she is a Lord and has land and income, in two years she achieved that position, I expect you to do the same. Do you understand?"
She sighed, giving in, "I do."
"Good," I said smiling.
