Well, guys, this Is the Balto fanfic where I'm working at since a couple of years!!! I'm posting all the chapters here, but one at a time!!!!

The title of the fanfic is leaned from the Michel Valiant comic ‘The Hell behind the Circuit’, property of Jean and Philippe Graton. I do not own the right to them.
The song ‘Enter Sandman’ is copyrighted to Metallica. I do not own the rights to them.
Chapter 1: Dying family members.
The sun was slowly setting over the Alaskan tundra, the shadows tipping at an couple of western type of buildings. The shadows of two dogs were sighted at the right end of Nome Main Street. A bird flow over the buildings of Nome, only to reveal the bodies of the two shadows of the dogs. One was a red and cream purebred husky with amber-hazel eyes, both glowing into the fading sunlight. The other was an grizzly-grey-brown wolf-dog hybrid with golden-red eyes, also glowing into the sunlight. The husky named Jenna, the other named Balto.
They were walking to an stranded fisher boat, only as purpose that they were sleeping over for something.
"Jenna, happy anniversary!" said the wolf-dog.
"Balto, it's only a day to early." said the husky.
They walked both chatting over when they where young and heroic, when the Diphtheria epidemic ran trough the tiny town, when Steele get lost and Balto the only one was that could find them, and many other things.
When they boarded on the fisher boat, they saw that Boris and his polar bear 'cousins' didn’t were there. Hmmm, they must had followed him to Russia, Balto thought. They walked trough the galley and trough the beneath of the ship. Balto was looking trough an open crack in the ship and saw the beautiful, star choked night sky.
After an while, Jenna yawned from exhaustion and Balto did see it. "Your right, Jenna, let get some sleep." said Balto. Balto laid by Jenna and Jenna curled slowly up on him.
"Good night, Balto."
“Good night, Jenna"
They both slowly drifted up to sleep. While they where sleeping, Balto had laid an paw on her belly, a scream came out of the direction of Nome. It wasn't hearable by Jenna and Balto because they were sleeping vast.

The morning came and the beams of the sun penetrated trough the cracks in the ship. Jenna was the first awake and saw her mate still sleeping. Jenna stood up and nuzzled him awake.
"W-what's happening? Is it morning already?" Balto said, still with some sleep in his eyes.
"It is morning, you sleepy head! Happy anniversary Balto." Jenna said, laughing between it.
"Oh, happy anniversary Jen."
"Thanks!" They were just an few seconds awake when Ewan ran in the boat, out of breath.
"Jen.... Jen....its....." He said, breathing like wild. "What is it, Ewan?" said Jenna, with worry in her voice. "Its....." "Oh no, is it....?" Jenna's eyes widened in recognition and was taking two steps backwards. "Yes....it...is." Jenna's mind said run, run... "Where is she?" "In the....alley between.....Main street and......" Balto saw that Jenna begun to tear up. "Jen? Jen, what's wrong?" But when she wanted to answer, she ran out of sight, with two tears, rolling over her cheek. "Ewan, what's wrong?" he said.
Jenna ran like she had never ran before, only haunted with an horrific thought. No, no, not him, please not him...... Ewan and Balto ran behind her, Balto still trying to know what was going on. Ewan couldn’t tell Balto why.
Jenna ran between the alleys of Nome, only to think that if it wasn't too late. After she ran like crazy, she reached the alley between Main street and Fake street. She stopped in her tracks, only to see the most terrifying thing in her life, she saw her mother, lying in an growing puddle of blood. "No." she cried out. She buried her head on her mothers shoulder and sobbed.
After that Balto and Ewan came behind her and they saw Jenna, crying on the body of her mother, "J-Jenn-a......I-I....." her mother lifting her head up, trying to conform her daughter from such emotional distress. Jenna heard her mothers dying voice. "Who did this, mom? Who?" she said, with an sob cracked voice. "I-It was Mar.........tin......" An choking sound came from her mothers muzzle "No, please mom, don't leave me alone, please." she cried out. "J-Jenna........... I lov......you....." and her mothers eyes rolled over. Jenna's mother just died in front of her eyes. After Jenna heard these words, she bursted in tears, crying almost uncontrollable.

After she regained control over her emotions, she saw Balto and Ewan standing, also in emotional distress, she walked to them. She saw Balto, almost in tears and Ewan, crying uncontrollable. She tried to say something to Balto, but she couldn't bring a word over her lips. After a few seconds, she said, with an sob cracked voice, "Well, Balto.....sorry that you have to......see this." "It's okay Jenna, I surely think she is in a better place." said Balto, trying to conform her. Ewan regained control over his emotions and asked to his sister, "Who did this, Jen?" "It's was Martin, I knew it." Ewan was in shock, he remembered the name, and Balto, too, saw how Ewan and Jenna reacted by hearing this name.
"Jenna, who is Martin?" asked Balto to Jenna. Jenna sighed "Balto, I can't tell you who he is because I......", after she remembered what Martin said on that faithful evening, she ran in tears towards the outskirts of Nome. "Jenna, wait!" screamed Balto after her when he saw Jenna, running away in tears. "Balto, leave her alone! I will tell you who Martin is and why she can't tell it." Ewan said to Balto, when he saw Balto was trying to follow her.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the forests around the city, walked an black and white malamute with black, merciless eyes. He was walking trough the forest, trying to escape from the cold bloody act of murder he did the last night. “Aright, now I will hide here for a while. I want that that monster of nature know that my rage isn't cooled off. I'm coming back, Jenna, and now I'm worse than you think.” He thought. He hided himself in an old wolf den, ready to strike back if the time was ready to take the final revenge.
