"Um... we... got captured? Yeah, that sounds right. And... it turns out, Malin is a shape-shifter... he almost killed me. And Claudette. We were taken to the camp, and Malin properly exiled us. So... we'd better watch out." Ares said. "Oh.... you two are going to get yourselves killed!" Said Yeris, Ares' mother.
After talking for a while, the group went to sleep. Ares tried to send himself to sleep, but tonight he just couldn't. Everytime he fell asleep, he dreamed of what had happened earlier. Seeing Claudette's terrified eyes, he whimpering, as she was hung on a snare wire, right in front of him. And, worst of all, he wasn't able to do anything about it.
Tired of just lying there, knowing trying to sleep was useless, he decided to take a walk. As he went into the woods, he kept hearing howling sounds in his head, screaming, whimpering, like there was a wolf getting killed. "I cannot go on like this! Ah... who can I talk to...? Oh, I know. Winston. Yeah, I'll talk to him." Ares told himself.
After getting to the edge of Winston's territory, he was instantly surrounded by a group of guards. "Ares? What are you doing here? I here you were exiled, and that you and your gang turned rogue." Said the lead wolf.
"Yes, I was overthrown. And last night me and Claudette were properly exiled. Who cares? Can I talk to Winston now, or what?" Asked Ares.
As they approached Winston's den, Winston was there, with his mate, Eve. "Ah! What are you doing here, Ares? You aren't allowed here, not after turning rogue." Growled Winston. "Ugh... yes, lecture me again, but please listen. We are all in danger. My former pack is trying to murder me, and they almost succeeded. I know you are almost at war with them, so I thought you might help. If you bring the packs together again, and fight them, I swear I will stand by your side. If not, I will watch as you are destroyed by my former pack. You see, even if you reject my offer, and gather your packs, you have no chance, because you need the strength and skill that me, my mother and my father, and my trainer, Beke have. So, reject or accept?" Ares asked.
"Reject. You sound too ambitious to me. I will fight on my own, thank you." Winston decided.
Ares smirked. "Ah, you'll regret this decision. I guess I will be there to watch you be destroyed." He said as he left.
After getting back, the group talked. After a while of talking, they decided they would round up their OWN allience of packs and wolves, and attack first Winston's pack, then the other packs, and after succeeding, take control of them temporarily as an army, and attack Malin's pack. But they would try to persuade the other packs to join them, as with Winston's pack.
After gathering their own allience...
"Alright! Remember, fight hard! Show mercy, do not be vicious! We are not murderers! Tonight, WE TAKE THE WESTERN PACK!" Yowled Ares. "Line up!" He ordered as the Western pack's army gathered in a wall formation. "Alright! First wave, up! ATTACK!" He ordered. The first wave left, and when they got there, the Western pack was already overwhelmed, being so small. They scattered, running into yet MORE wolves from the first wave. Winston appeared, obviously overwhelmed by the chaos. "Ares! Stop this! After letting you go, not executing you, letting you have my grandaughter, and this is what you do? This is madness!" He screamed.
"Well, Winston, you did reject my offer. AND I told you you would regret doing so. But you didn't listen. So, this is what you get. Surrender your army to me now, fight by my side against Malin, and I will be your personal servant after the battle ends, whether we win or lose. We are both at war with Malin, are we not?" "Fine. We will fight. As long as you keep your promise."
After gathering on a battlefield against Malin's army, Ares walked forward over to Malin, who was in the form of a giant wolf, bigger than his normal size. "So, Ares, are you here to surrender, or die? You were exiled, meaning anyone from my pack has the right to kill you on sight." He boomed. He swioed at Ares, but he jumped backwards, and unconsiously let out a wail. As he did, two familiar wolves appeared. "What the... Humphrey? Kate? I... How...? I killed you... oh, I'm so sorry! I miss you so much... why..." he murmered."Shh, shh." Kate hushed him. She clawed at the ground, and with every gesture a new row of dead wolves appeared. "Oh... an army of wolves! You don't want to hurt me, you want to help! But why?" Ares asked. "Ares, we understand why you did what you did, even though we don't like it. After all, that's a pretty neat ability you git there, to summon the dead." Humphrey said. Kate motioned with her tail towards Malin's massive army, and the rows of dead wolves advanced, obviously an attack. "Go on, Ares, command your army," Kate urged. "Oh, right. Alright! Today is different! There are no seperate waves! Just one big wave! Section! Forward... now, ATTACK!" Ares ordered. From there it was total chaos. Wolves fell, wolves clawed, wolves bit... "So, Ares, what do ya say? Let's go get that Malin and give him wounds he will never forget!" Kate and Humlhrey offered. "Thanks." Ares said.
And so, they charged, charged at the wolf that had ruined Ares life.
Thank you guys for reading! There will probably be one more story in this set in this SERIES. For example, I am writing a series. Well, there are different SETS of article in this SERIES,and the first SET consists of the articles before this, including the one after this one, and then when this SET is done, I will work on SET two. The plotline will not change in SET two, but the first article will start different, and at a different time, after the battle and everything is figured out after the battle. Enjoy the rest of your day! :(
