Ever since I first started watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer, I've always felt that Angel was a better match for Buffy than Spike. To me, Bangel is the perfect couple and they're soul mates who are star-crossed lovers like Romeo and Juliet. They've had to deal with things that no other couple have had to deal with but yet they've come out strong in the end. Angel is the one that Buffy truly is meant to be with because she told him she was cookie dough and not fully baked while Angel told her that he wasn't getting any older. They have been through a lot and I will always love them. I've always been Bangel and I will always be Bangel. What they have is an epic love story and one of forbidden love because they're not supposed to love each other simply because he's a vampire and she's the slayer. Anyone who would love them like I love them understands that they are meant to be together and even Sarah Michelle Gellar who played Buffy herself has said in interviews that Buffy belongs with Angel and that she supports Bangel. I have always believed that they will end up together after Angel's prophecy is fulfilled and he is human once more because then Bangel can be together without...

•    Everything after Waiting in the Wings didn’t happen, including Groo’s return.
•    Angel and Cordelia are officially together and are raising Connor as a family.
•    Fred and Gunn never broke up and eventually have kids of their own, twins, a boy and a girl, named Alonna (after Gunn’s sister) and Daniel.
•    Connor and Daniel are the best of friends, and Connor has a huge crush on Alonna. Cordelia and Fred often giggle about it and try to not so subtly push Connor and Alonna together in hopes they’ll get married someday.
•    Wesley and Lilah do still end up dating and Connor, Daniel, and Alonna love their Uncle Wes and Auntie Lilah very much. Wesley tries to instill proper British rules and manners in the kids, while Lilah sneaks them extra candy and lectures 8 year old Alonna on how to succeed in a male-dominated society and stick it to the patriarchy.

"THE POWERS TO BE IN WHEDONVERSE”

While perusing one of the many Jossverse message boards on the Internet, I came across a passage from an article titled, ”Classic CJL: Spike and the Whedonverse”:

”In order to battle the new enemy (vampires), the Powers have called upon Slayers, Champions (welcome, Cordy!), Seers and Mystics, all dedicated to protecting the human race from the vampires and half-breed demons who feed upon and ravage the populace.”

Like many other Jossverse fans, I had believed in this nonsense . . . until I saw the Season 7 episode, ”Get It Done” (7.15). Thanks to this particular episode, I finally came to the conclusion that the above comment about the so-called “Powers to Be” featured in both "BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER" and its spin-off, "ANGEL" just might not be true

Following the suicide of one of the Potential Slayers and a dream of the First Slayer, in ”Get It Done”, Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Geller) receives a bag from Principal Robin Wood (D.B. Woodside). The bag had once belonged to his mother – a former Slayer in the 1970s named...

Below is a look into (5.15) “A Hole in the World”, a Season Five episode from “ANGEL”:

"ANGEL" RETROSPECTIVE: (5.15) "A Hole in the World”

Written and directed by Joss Whedon, the Season Five episode, (5.15) “A Hole in the World”, centered on the death of one of the series’ regulars, Winifred “Fred” Burkle. The slow road to her death began when a Wolfram and Hart employee named Knox accepts the delivery of a sarcophagus. When Fred touches one of the crystals that cover the lid, a puff of dusty air is released, making her cough. Later, she eventually starts coughing up blood before collapsing.

It turns out that by touching one of the sarcophagus’ crystals, Fred becomes infected by the spirit of an ancient demon named Illyria. The entire crew searches for a cure, but give up hope when Spike and Angel discover that the only way to save Fred's life would kill thousands of people. Wesley Wyndham-Pryce tries to comfort Fred as she dies and eventually witnesses the emergence of Illyria.

"ANGEL" RETROSPECTIVE: (5.08) "Destiny"

One of the most interesting episodes to air on "ANGEL" during its Season Five turned out to be the eighth episode called (5.08) "Destiny". Written by David Fury and Steven S. DeKnight, the episode is considered one of the best in the series. It also marked a relief for many viewers who had become weary of Spike in corporeal form.

"Destiny" begins with a flashback to 1880 London, where a recently-sired William Pratt (yes, that is his surname) meets Angelus for the first time. The latter accepts William into the group that also includes Drusilla and Darla and adds that he looks forward to killing with another man. Angeleus expresses a vow that he and William are "gonna be the best of friends". The two male vampires seal their new friendship with clasped hands burning in the sunlight. One hundred and twenty-three years later, a mysterious package arrives at the Los Angeles Wolfram and Hart offices, addressed to William (now Spike). Harmony Kendall, Angel’s vampire secretary, opens the package, which produces a flash of light. Minutes later, Spike tries to materialize through and discovers...

"DIFFERENT PATHS OF BROTHERHOOD"

While reading an old review by someone named Tchaikovsky about the Season Five ”ANGEL” episode, (5.08) “Destiny”, I noticed that the reviewer discussed a lot about Angel and Spike’s relationship as ”brothers”, whether they were in their souled or unsouled states. When I first viewed that particular season, I noticed one particular thing about it. There seemed to be a great deal of focus upon brotherhood.

In the relationship between Angel and Spike, viewers had two vampires with the potential to be close ”brothers” when they first met in 1880. However, their feelings for one female vampire – namely Drusilla – fragmented that sense of brotherhood. After his disappointments with his former object of desire, an English debutante named Cecily and his mother Anne, whom he had transformed into a vampire; Spike (or .should I say, William) saw the female vampire as his destiny, someone to love and worship.

Below is a look into (5.02) "Just Rewards", a Season Five episode from "ANGEL":

"ANGEL" RETROSPECTIVE: (5.02) "Just Rewards"

Co-written by David Fury and Ben Edlund and directed by James A. Contner, the Season Five episode, (5.02) "Just Rewards", was an immediate follow-up to the conclusion of the season premiere, (5.01) "Conviction". The latter ended with Angel receiving a mysterious package that contained the amulet he had given to Buffy Summers in the "BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER" finale, (7.22) "Chosen". When the amulet activated, it released Spike’s non-corporeal body.

At the beginning of "Just Rewards", Spike explains that he was killed in Sunnydale during the final battle featured in ”Chosen”, while wearing the amulet. He also explains that the amulet he wore brought his non-corporeal spirit to Wolfram & Hart. When Angel learns that a necromancer named Hainsley is buying corpses from Wolfram & Hart to reanimate with demonic essences, he decides to pay him a visit to tell him that they will no longer supply him with bodies. Spike decides to tag along and is...

Below is a look into (1.08) "I Will Remember You", a Season One episode from "ANGEL":

"ANGEL" RETROSPECTIVE: (1.08)"I Will Remember You"

One of the most popular episodes to air on "ANGEL" is the eighth episode of Season One called (1.08) "I Will Remember You". This particular episode served as a follow-up to the Season Four "BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER" episode, (4.08) "Pangs" in which Angel, the vampire with a soul, had paid a surreptitious visit to Sunnydale in order to protect his former love, vampire slayer Buffy Summers, from a malignant spirit during the Thanksgiving holidays.

After Buffy had learned of Angel’s visit to Sunnydale, she pays a visit of her own to Angel’s detective office in Los Angeles. There, she confronts him about his surreptitious assistance back in Sunnydale. They are attacked by a Mohra demon. When Angel kills the demon, he is restored to mortality by its powerful blood. After The Oracles - a link to The Powers That Be - confirms that Angel is human again, Angel and Buffy spend a blissful night together. Unfortunately, Doyle receives a vision that the Mohra...

Angel groaned as Gunn handed him yet another handful of paperwork. He glanced over it with tired, sore eyes and his jaw dropped. "You can't be serious!" He threw the paper down violently.

Gunn sighed. "The Goblin King specifically ordered us to. He may be Fae, but he has a prominent sway in the demonic community. Jareth is nothing to be messed with and especially not when it comes to things like this. His family has been threatened, Angel."

"But playing babysitter to a spoiled princess isn't our job." Angel protested. "Our job is to fight the evil in this world."

"And to protect the innocent." Gunn reminded him."And this is exactly what we would be doing. This girl's life is in danger and we have to help her."

Angel shook his head, but complied. "Fine. How much trouble could she be, anyway? What is she...five?"

"Actually she's eighteen." Angel pinned him with a disbelieving glare. Gunn held up his hands in a defensive gesture. "And before you go on a rant about how difficult a teenager can be, may I remind you that Buffy was still in high school when you-"

Okay, this isn't the first chapter, but I will be uploading that pretty soon. I think I should just let you all have a bit of a preview of the story.

Now, I don't know if all of you know the movie Labyrinth, but I'll give a general run down of the plot. A girl named Sarah is about fifteen in the movie and she's a bit of a whiner and not very considerate of others. She's obsessed with the world of fantasy and loves fairy tales. Her favorite book is called 'The Labyrinth'. She constantly visualizes herself in the place of the Snow White-esque heroine and her step-mother in the place of the evil step-mother in the story. Sarah is left to babysit her young brother Toby, much to her dismay, and ends up wishing him away to the Goblin King, whom she finds out to her horror, is a real being. She is therefore sucked into a quest to search for her brother. There is lots of romantic tension between her and Jareth (The Goblin King, who is played by David Bowie). And that's pretty much it.

CHARLES GUNN AND HIS ROLE IN ANGEL INVESTIGATIONS

There is something about one of the episodes of "ANGEL" that has always bothered me. My unease centered around an incident between two of the series’ major characters that occurred in the early Season 3 episode, "That Old Gang of Mine". But to understand the nature of my unease, one has to return to two episodes from Season 2 - "Reunion" and "Blood Money".

As many fans of ”ANGEL” are aware, Angel had decided to fire his three companions – Cordelia Chase, Wesley Wyndham-Price and Charles Gunn – as a despondent reaction over his failure to save a human Darla from the manipulations of Wolfram and Hart and the vampire he had sired, Drusilla; in the episode ”Reunion”. Although upset over Angel’s actions, Cordelia, Wesley and Charles had decided to revive Angel Investigations in the following episode, ”Blood Money”:

[i]Gunn takes the card and looks at it.
Gunn: "That's a Angel? Looks like a - a lobster with a - growth or... We'll make our own logo."

Angel closed the door of his room. He had already sent the others home just in case Darla did come tonight. Climbing into bed, he switched off the light and closed his eyes. However, he did not sleep.
A few minutes after midnight, he heard the door click open and soft footfalls on the carpet.
“There’s my boy,” whispered Darla as she pulled out the sleeping powder.
Angel felt her climb on top of him and heard her unscrew the lid.
“Now, just a bit of this and you’ll sleep well.”
As her hand drifted over his face, Angel’s eyes flew open and he grabbed her wrist.
“Hello, Darla.”
“Angel!” she gasped. “How – “
“I paid a visit to your resurrectors. Tell me, what exactly didn’t you understand about ‘dust to dust’?”
“Angel, let go of me!” she exclaimed.
“Not until you give me some answers. Why did they bring you back?” he demanded.
“Let go of me!”
“Why did they bring you back?”
Darla stopped struggling. “The apocalypse,” she murmured.

Such a wonderful scent. It danced on his tongue and he wanted more. He couldn’t stop. The warm blood filled his belly and he wanted it all. But a cold hand gently pushed him away.
“That’s my boy,” murmured Darla. “I think I shall name you Angelus. The demon with the face of an angel.” She smiled sweetly at him and the moonlight glinted off her fangs. Angelus found himself being led out of the alley and towards a lone woman hurrying down the dark street.
“There,” she whispered. “That one’s yours. Have your fill.”
He sprang towards the innocent, the sound of her heart pumping blood through her veins overpowering in his ears, and he didn’t care that his beat no longer. He held onto the frightened woman fast and changed his face.
“Scream for me,” he hissed.

Angel awoke with a start, the tang of blood still on his lips. If it was still able to, he imagined with heart would be pounding. Lately he had been dreaming about his bloody past, and Darla was always there. There were also a few episodes which had no historical reference to him. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and flipped the bedsheets back. Throwing...

So, on TNT on cable, at 5a.m. they play one episode of ANGEL and then at 6a.m. they play the next episode. So, two episodes of ANGEL in one day, YAY! But, that's not the reason of this article.
I was watching episodes 8 and 9 today (they restarted the series on TNT and this is the first time for me so I'm excited) and in episode 8: I WILL REMEMBER YOU has Buffy come into the episode right after BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER ssn4 ep. "PANGS" where Buffy wants the perfect Thanksgiving and everyone has a reunion with ANGEL except for her, and she confronts ANGEL in L.A. about him going behind her back without even telling her he was there to protect her from this demon. It was a really good episode, and in the end I was teary-eyed.
But, I was crying at the end of ANGEL ssn1 ep.9: HERO. This episode is about Angel helping Doyle save a group of half-blood demons from The Scourge, a pure-blood demon breed set out to kill all half-human breeded demons. This one, in the end, made me cry and I still think its sad. (SPOILER ALERT!!! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ANGEL YET, DONT READ FURTHER!!!!) The Scourge develop a machine that casts a light so powerful it kills all...

Cordy prepares to kill Billy
There are very few episodes in Buffy and Angel that I find outright scary. One of the exceptions is “Billy” from season three of Angel. I used to actively avoid it, skipping around it when watching my DVDs, and only fairly recently have I felt comfortable watching it. Instead of a scaly demon or fanged vampire, the titular villain is very human in appearance, and his power evokes human evil. Joss’ thing is that he tries to promote feminism, and “Billy” might be his most overt attempt with a villain that exists as an embodiment of misogyny.

Angel: “You like to hurt women, do you, Billy? That make you feel like a man?”
Billy: “I have never hurt a woman in my life. I just like to watch.”

Billy Blim is a quintessential psychopathic misogynist nephew of a congressman, who is never nailed for his actions, and is a forerunner to the serial killer character Terry on Dollhouse. Billy can’t sit still and frequently causes chaos only to be bailed out of trouble by his uncle, whether from jail or a Hell dimension. After presumably dying, he was sent to a Hell where he would spend eternity...

Angelus: The one name vampire who does what other vampire don't do; He kills them.I know the enter world doesn't believe in Religion not to talk of Christianity but Jesus said "When a house is divided against itself it would not last" and this can be seen in our everyday lives.Angelus was first seen in Buffy The Vampire Slayer as Buffy's Boyfriend before Angel came out.Angel brought out the detail not known to Angel before. Angelus character has the biggest heart I have ever known to a vamp.He keeps his own, he loves his own and most importantly, he PROTECTS his own. One of the things I don't like about him is the way he walks which is so unsexy. David Boreanaz does a good job acting the FBI Agent in Bones and being the Vampire Angel. I love the character and I hope you do to. PLEASE comment on this it will mean a lot

OK, folks, with the Shanshus on the horizon, I thought it was a good idea to spread the world and expose a few more people to Angel. The more people who see the series and love it, the more people there are that might get involved in the Shanshus.

But Angel isn't for everyone. I know, as an Angel fan, that seems blasphemous. However, not everyone in the world likes the same stuff, that's just a given. As shocking as it may be, there are people out there who won't get that much out of Angel as others. And I completely respect that. That's why I gathered this list together of the kind of people who should try Angel on for size. If you can relate to anything on this list, then the odds of you falling in love with Angel increase dramatically. If you relate to nothing on this list, then maybe Angel isn't the right show for you.

WHAT KIND OF PERSON WOULD LOVE ANGEL?

1) link fans that have never seen David Boreanaz out of his clean-cut FBI suit. Almost everyone who loves Bones loves Seeley Booth, and if you're one of those Seeley Booth fans, then Angel is a must-see....

My version would be something like this:

Angel got a phone call from Giles that Buffy's in trouble "The Immortal". Spike overheard the situation about his slayer is in trouble by there worst enemy.

Spike: Look I not going to win over her just to save her, well I am going to save her because I love her.

Angel: Are your sure, I mean do you really think that Buffy would still want you back?

Spike: Oh, I see you think that all powerful with a soul, but look I fought for my soul for Buffy. You just got it because it was your punishment for being all evil.

Angel: Shut up! You don't know her they way I do!

Spike: I Damn well know her way better than you!

Both Spike & Angel are in Rome to save Buffy from The Immortal. Angel was remembering his past with Spike of the torment of The Immortal. Spike, was thinking about his final moments with Buffy holding him in his arms. And Buffy's last words that he will never forget.

To watch the DVD is to be reminded of how large a part Glenn Quinn (Doyle) played on the show. How has his death affected the cast?
I honestly am not in the greatest position to talk about it yet, only because I'm still grieving over it. That's the real Big Bad.

Are you ever tempted to watch early episodes of the show?
I don't even watch the new ones. If I do accidentally catch myself in an old ''Buffy'' episode, I'll think, What the hell was that? But I think it's great the DVD is coming out, because people can catch up. Right now there's so much sh-- going on this season that it's like, Whoa, how do you begin to understand this without knowing the history?

A lot has changed since the beginning of the series. How do you keep all the storylines and shifting mythology straight?
Well, Angel has evolved, so if I were to go back and look at why he's become what he is, I think maybe that would just mess me up more. I just stick to having an understanding of what the next episode is going to be and how I'm going to work on it, period. But it's funny, because we're coming to a point in the show now where all of the questions about the Big Bad...
