In 1652, in an unexplored land, a group of humans were travelling through this uncharted landscape. All it was was a large, lush, green field. It was like the plains from their own home. However, there was the feeling of someone with them. Then as if out of nowhere, they found them. Demons. A group of demons. They were just like ordinary people, except for one obvious difference. They had small horns growing from the top of their head. The horns were small, and they were curved. It looked as if it was growing out of their skulls. However, the Demons did not seem threatening at all, but rather something like that of homosapiens. It was then, that these explorers knew what to do.

Over a thousand years later, the town of Roland had grown quite a bit. It was just a simple town on a small chunk of land, but it was growing each day. In it were people from all over the world. They had come to live here, with the many other people, who lived among Demons. The Demons were friendly, and, while the sight of the horns might have surprised some people, it did little to change how the humans got along with the Demons.
Gregory was walking into town. After he had finished his chores for the day, he thought it would be great to go into town. He saw that the towns market was doing as fine as usual. It didn’t take long until Gregory passed by his friend, Erica. He could tell it was her, as her horns was always sticking out of the headband she wore. Erica said, “Hey, Greg. What took you so long”.
Gregory laughed and said, “It was just some work that needed to be done. By the way, I like what you did with decorating your horns”. He couldn’t help but snicker
Erica took the headband off and said, “Please don’t remind me about them. These horns are always a problem for me. I always wish I was just…. normal”.
Gregory, a little shocked at what he heard, said, “Erica, you are normal. You’re the most normal girl I know”.
Erica smiled and said, “Thanks, Greg. That makes it better”.
Suddenly, a voice said, “Demon. Go back from whence you came”.
Gregory and Erica turned to see a white haired priest, who was holding a cross and a bible close to him, and had a sword in its clasp near his hip, while staring at one of the Demons. The Demon said, “Sir, are you alright”.
The Demon reached out to the priest. It that instant, the priest pushed the Demon back, saying, “Keep your hands off me Demon”!
The priest then began to shout to everyone, “What have we become? What kind of people bring Demons into our homes? What kind of people allow Demons to live amongst us”?
People began to question if this priest was healthy. Gregory walked over to the priest, a bit angry at what he was saying, and said, “Hey, just who do you think you are”?
The priest said, “I am Father Roderick. I have come from the main lands to bring a message from God”.
Father Roderick than raised his bible into the air and said, “All of those filthy Demons have come from the Earth and they have brought a plague onto this world. They come from the depths of Hell themselves, and they bring forth death and destruction. They have come to kill the men, rape the women, and devour the children. They are a cruel breed, and they must be destroyed. If our belief in God is to stay strong, than these foul beasts must perish”.
Gregory then got near Roderick and said, “You think that Demons are evil? What is your proof? Demons are not evil. You just don’t know what they are like”.
Roderick starred Gregory in the eyes and said, “Oh, but I do know. I know more than you do, boy. These Demons have killed more than any war, or plague ever could. They have already destroyed countless villages, and they will do the same to your town”.
The crowd began to get angry and began to yell at Roderick to leave. Suddenly, another priest came by, and he said, “Father Roderick, we brought the Demon. It was hard work, but we brought him”.
Roderick said, “Very good. Than bring the Demon, and show him what he has done”.
The priest then ran back, and he had a wagon come up to the crowd, which was driven by another young priest. Roderick said, “If you all do not believe me, then I have no choice but to show you how dangerous a Demon can truly be”.
The wagon then turned in a direction where the back could be seen by the crowd. In the wagon, was a man, who was covered in blood and scratches, but he had a look of bloodlust in his eyes. However, this was no man. He had horns on his head. He was a Demon. Roderick said, “This Hellspawn is responsible for the death of an entire village. This foul beast killed everyone in the village. It was a miracle we could capture him. This monster will do everything in its power to bring death to anyone it see’s”.
Suddenly, in a flash, the Demon reached out of the wagon, grabbed one of the priests by the throat, and tore his throat open. At the sight of this, people began to scream in fear. Even other Demon’s were horrified. The Demon was about to jump out, and attack whatever it saw. However, once he jumped out, he was shot in the chest by a bullet. Everyone turned to see Roderick holding a revolver. Roderick then continued. “These Demon’s have been brought to this Earth for one reason. To kill. While you may think the bullet would have killed him, the only way to truly kill these creatures is with water”.
In that moment, the remaining young priest came by with a bucket of water. Roderick walked over to the bucket, placed his hands over the bucket, and moved his finger across it to bless it. Roderick than picked up the bucket, walked over to the Demon, and poured the water on it. In that instant, the Demon’s flesh began to burn badly. Roderick than said, “And yet, even while this Demon burns, he is still no dead. We must perform one last act”.
In that instant, Roderick took out his sword that was in his clasp, and then shoved it deep into the demons stomach. Roderick then sliced the Demon’s stomach open and then took out the sword, and said, “And now, the demon has finally died. But, if you still do not believe me… Than what is this”.
Roderick than reached into the Demon’s stomach and pulled out a human finger, with the crowd looking in shock. Roderick said, “Yes, this Demon has devoured a human, and this is the evidence to prove it. Now, it’s just one Demon. Tomorrow, all of these Demon’s will kill everyone. But, No. I say we fight these Demons. I say that we defend ourselves. I say, we kill them before they can kill us”.
The crowd began to listen carefully to Roderick, wanting to hear everything now. Gregory and Erica, however, left the crowd as soon as possible, as well as all the Demons, who were heading home.
