Wet drops slowly fell on my pillow. Like every night. I missed him. You know who. My prince. My boyfriend. My hero. My Percy.
I tossed and turned, the blankets twisted in a not. My hair was a big blond mess and my tank top was turned around. I tried to fix myself. I tried reading. I even tried designing a house on Sims 3 on my laptop. Nothing seemed to fill that emptiness. It was so hollow. My heart was aching. And nothing ever worked. I would wake up like this every night. Dreaming my green eyed boy still was sleeping soundly in the Poseidon cabin. Still waiting for me on the steps of the Athena cabin after lunch. Still giving me kisses when I needed them most. No one like that is here now. Ever since he left.
Sad a tired, I slipped out of my cabin for a midnight walk. It was cold out, freezing air hitting my bare arms. But I didn't mind, nothing did anymore. I hardly even ate.
Not knowing exactly what I was doing I walked up the stone steps to the Poseidon cabin, rubbing my hands together. Behind the giant door it was messy. His bed with blue sheets was messed up. His clothes were piled on the floor. And the pictures of us were still tacked to the wall. Nothing changed in here.
I trudged to his bed. I slid my head onto his pillow. It smelled of chlorine. I smiled, For the first time since he left. I remember the time he told me if I ever touched his bed for any other reason then sitting he would personly wipe my brain. I laughed at that memory.
Suddenly i felt a lump under the pillow. It was hard. I swiped my hand under the cotton. I felt something hard, like a box. I pulled it out. In my hands was a small wooden box. It was wooden with seashells carved into the lid. I lifted the lid. A squeaking sound erupted but it wasn't too loud. Inside was a piece of paper. The paper was thick, not like paper, or parchment either. I turned on the light to read it. Only a few words were carefully written.
'You have my heart' was what it said. Confused I turned the box around. He had made this box. I knew this because on the front were the words:
For Annabeth.
He had made this box and written the paper for me. But he never gave it to me. I knew then he didn't run away because of me. He was my knight in shining armor after all.
He'll come back.
