The whole Korrasami debate seems to be a hot topic amid the LoK fandom right now so I thought I'd give my input on it.

For starts, my major reason for liking Korrasami is that it is such a huge step in western animation. We finally have some LGTB representation in 'children's' media. And this isn't just some show with a small fanbase--the Avatar franchise is huge and widely popular--so for this show of all shows to have canon bisexuals is pretty cool in my opinion. I do understand that not everyone is comfortable with homosexuality but this is a pro-Korrasami article so I won't get into that.

I also feel as if Korrasami is not as out of nowhere as everyone says it is. In the first season they bonded whilst racing at the Sato mansion. They were both cheated on by Mako at least once. Asami would teach her how to drive. Asami was the one seen helping her the most when she was in the wheel chair; doing her hair and what not. In that time her hand was always on Korra's shoulder. They had loads of hand touch moments. That clips episode, crappy as it was, had her comforting Korra. In that three years that Korra was missing, Asami was really the only one...

On her list of top ten weirdest things she was forced to do, this one hit the top. Once more, she found herself behind the wheel as the designated driver. In the back slumbered a passed out armless waterbender and an oddly emotional and secret spilling metalbender. Both of which hit the alcohol laced eggnog a bit too hard.

About an hour or so into their drive home Kuvira had taken to singing a super slurred and off key version of ‘walking in a winter wonderland’. Which, on its own was bad enough without the addition of ‘jingle bells’ and ‘deck the halls’. But of course the drunken Kuvira decided to sing something along the lines of “Dashing through the snow in a winter wonderland fa la la la la la la la la.”

She seemed pretty damn proud of her new hit single.

Asami was sure of this as the former dictator would come to the end of the song only to start right back up from the beginning.

At last Kuvira’s caroling came to an end. However the silence didn’t last. “Hey…hey Sado.” The woman jabbed her finger into the back of Asami’s head…three times.

Don't get me wrong, I did like the finale however there was one thing that annoyed me more than anything; that they didn't redeem Kuvira. Again, don't get me wrong her actions were not by any means in the right but I do think there was a lot of room for her to be redeemed. Sorry if this article is poorly written, I'm kind of watching Divergent as I type. :P

First and foremost, Kuvira, started out as a really good person. She, in the beginning was one of the people to help save Korra when the Red Lotus attacked Zhao Fu. She also saved Korra's father's life. My point is, she was good once, she could be so again. And in the final episode she had so much potential to do so.

Not only was she on the good side in the beginning. But when she set off to unite the Earth Kingdom, she did so with good intent. She wanted to protect the Earth Kingdom as a whole, where she felt that Su had abandoned them. In the beginning she had supplied peoples with food and other supply. Even to the end she firmly believed...she was convinced that she was doing the right thing. That she was just trying to protect her peoples. She didn't want them tossed aside like they meant nothing...

It was cold and rather dark. Her body still ached and pulsed all over. She tugged the blanket over her body. It was a thin flimsy thing. Kuvira shivered. She squeezed her eyes shut. She was alone, and completely so.

Again.

She felt another pulse of pain shoot over her stomach and over her sides. She turned to lay on her back, her thoughts shifting from the physical pain to tortured memories and agonized thoughts. She had ruined her engagement, her ties to Su, the rest of the ‘family’, and her future, among other things.

Perhaps she should have quit while she was ahead.

Perhaps she should have just accepted Baatar’s hand.

The man hadn’t paid her a visit once. No one did.
Why would they?

The only person to come in was a doctor or two. The ones that the law required to tend to her various injuries.

She found herself thinking of her parents, just pondering why they hated her so much. What she did to them…why they didn’t want her. Moreover she wondered why Su took her in only to treat her as if she was just another face in Zhao Fu. What was wrong with her? Why couldn’t...

I am not trying to be rude but I have a hard time to like Asami. Somehow I think that she is a boyfriend stealer and please don't say that Korra kised Mako first when they were dating. Mako enjoyed it and you know it. Just every time I see her I see a too emotional girl that in 4 season wants to forgive his father for wanting to destroy Republic City. Sorry bakes2389 if this is too offensive to you. I didn't mean to insult anyone. She irritates me with her praising about that she is not a fragile girl. We know that.
Thank you zanhar1. She helped me for my first article. If it wasn't her I would be cursing all around here.

Well, why do people hate Korra I just don't understand it. This is a site about Avatar: Legend of Korra fans, not some people that say bad words about her. I love Korra and there are a lot of fans that love her too. Why do people say bad words about her here.Don't say bad words about it just stop watching it.If you don't like it don't watch it.And some say that the characters aren't developed good.If I don't like something I would say that the characters aren't developed. Just give me a reason to hate her.

Alright, so this past episode we got a clips episode and seeing the position that Bryke was put in by Nick, it's understandable that they went the avenue they did. So I'm not angry for them to have made a clip episode in order to make sure that their staff would stay. What I am and angry with however is the way they executed the episode.

This isn't just the last season of The Legend of Korra. This is the last season of the entire Avatar series as a whole. Alright so if you have to make a clip episode, why don't you include things from the original series too? Right now a lot of questions are being asked about the purpose of the Avatar. With the way technology is advancing and the way the nations are able to communicate with each other, is the Avatar really necessary? Isn't it time for the nations to be able to govern themselves. Do they really still need a spiritual babysitter to keep the world at balance anymore?

This clip episode could have really explored that. It could have used scenes about the other avatars like Kyoshi, Roku and Aang to help Korra understand her true purpose in this world. We really haven't gotten a bonding/teaching moment...

So quite a few people here seemed to hate season 4 episode 8. Whilst I agree that it wasn't the best, Bryke gave us a pretty good reason for that on their offical tumblr;

[i]In a couple hours the eighth chapter of Korra Book 4 will be released online, and I suppose, if you are none the wiser, a few minutes into it you will feel duped and yell at your screen, “Hey! This is a crummy clips episode!” And that is (almost) exactly what it is––except we all worked really hard to make sure at the very least it isn’t crummy. I’m here to explain why we ended up having to do one. Sometime around a year and a half ago we were similarly duped on a large scale. We got the news from the higher-ups that our Book 4 budget was getting slashed, almost to the tune of an entire episode’s budget. We had two options: 1) let go a significant number of crew members several weeks early, or 2) make a clips episode. We never considered the first option. We weren’t going to do that to our crew, and even if we were callous enough to do so, we never would have been able to finish the season without them. But having grown up on TV in the ’80s and ’90s, we all dread clips...

So in my last article I mentioned that I wanted to compare two of my favorite characters; Azula and Kuvira. And that's just what Imma do.

First and foremost they are both cunning and manipulative. The two of them share that crazy ability to just twist their words to make their will appeal to their opposers. In the way Azula got Ty-Lee to join her side, Kuvira was able to get that one small Earth village on her side.

Likewise both seem to have this large interest with politics and military. They both have very meticulous strategies as to how to take the next place. They both want dominance. The only difference is that Azula's intentions weren't born out of a good nature as Kuvira's were. Alongside this is the fact that they both took control over large Earth Kingdom powerhouses. They also both did so using said kingdom's very own military force. Kuvira rallied up a bunch of Zaofu citizens and set out as Azula found control of the Dai Lee.

Aside form political and military interests, Azula and Kuvira were both child prodigies. Ozai among others recognized Azula's vast firebending abilities. She mastered at least 14 (if I remember right)...

So I seem to have one of these for all of my favorite characters, and yet I haven't made one for these two. So I decided to type one up.

Kuvira

As always I will clear out the shallow reason first. Like many others I can very well appreciate physical beauty. To be rather honest, usually I start to appreciate my favorite character's physical appearance after they become my favorite. But with Kuvira, this was not the case. She just has such a beautiful and elegant face but all at once there is this sort of toughness to it. And she doesn't even really wear make up. I love her eye shape loads and their pretty shade of green. I also like the beauty mark under her eye, it's something unique to her. Also them eyebrows! That smug expression she always wears defiantly does her face justice. And her hair is is also amazing from that very first long braid to the up do to the messy lose hair. She's just very pretty.

Naturally there are many other things that have me loving Kuvira. One of which is that she's a strong powerful independent woman. I just love the badass female characters. She recognized at a young age that she had talent...

Kuvira’s feet sounded rhythmically along the floor. One crossing over the other and then again and again.

The echoes of footfall a reminiscent of things passed…

Of a synchronized dance.

Her dance was lonely now.

She assumed it’d remain that way for quite some time. Her soldiers weren’t exactly fond of dancing, and the ones that were…well they weren’t graceful to say the least.

Kuvira remembered all too clearly dancing with a group. She considered them to be friends of some sort. They were a close group and their dance never out of sync. And in a way she missed them. But she had to let them go if she wished to make it by in the world…

If she wanted to achieve anything…

Make history.

Leave her mark.

Her family was rather unremarkable. They were cowards. They were lazy and unimpressive. And when she suggested doing something of importance they left her to the streets—they didn’t want their youngest child to outdo them (not that it would be hard to do).

Avatar Aang was raised by monks, although the identity of his real parents was unknown. Being raised by monk Aang was taught about life and to respect it, the ways of the monks are ways of peace and meditation, Aang was already a master airbender before he found out he was the avatar, he learnt and mastered all four elements by the end of the summer. And all his masters were part of Team avatar(katara, toph, zuko). And he was just a kid. Monks are also spiritual people thats why it didn't take Aang along time to master going into the spirit world.
Well in Avatar Korra's case she mastered three elements(water, earth and fire) when she was about 4 years old. She was strong and powerful, even without her bending Avatar korra can still stand up to anyone. Like in book2:spirits where she defeated Unavaatu(unalaq and vaatu) she did it without her bending, even though it took her along time to master air and the ways of spirits. She is a water bender and not a monk so it is a normal thing for it to be difficult at first but now she mastered it all and we can say that avatar korra is a great heroine. Avatar Aang is a great hero, both of them are great even though they are so...

I have a very hard time liking Korra. I find her to be stubborn, selfish, irrational, overly aggressive, pigheaded, immature, and obstinate. This list of adjectives can keep going, but I digress.

When LOK started, I was somewhat excited for a female avatar; my feminist side was all for a powerful female lead that would lead the avatar world to a time of peace. However, to my dismay, Korra was a strong and powerful character, but her other characteristics and personality flaws overthrew her potential as a character.

In Book 1, Korra basically does whatever the hell she wants because "she is the avatar," and this reasoning is what she repeatedly uses as her excuse to do as she pleases. For example, Korra destroys property and expects that the law can be bent for her because of her status. She uses this status and power to abuse the system. It's actually quite ridiculous. And naturally, this logic that Korra spews becomes the norm as Korra never has to suffer any consequences for her actions. Everyone who backs her (Tenzin, Lin, the Krew, etc.) blindly follows her and accepts whatever she does as if there were no other choices in the matter. Even if Tenzin...

Another anon tumblr prompt; Ming Hua sees a new mother with a baby and does some reflecting. It was a fun prompt to work with.

Ming Hua was never really the motherly type. To be honest she didn’t really even want a kind. But somehow, she found that every time she saw a mother carrying a squirming infant, that a knot would from in her throat.

It simply just wasn’t fair.

She’d never have that.

Sure, she could always carry a newborn of her own using her liquid arms. But that just wasn’t the same, she’d never actually feel the smoothness of the baby’s soft skin. Or the warmth of its touch as it wiggled around.

Such a thought always seemed to flow into the next; Ming would reflect on what it was like when she had arms.

She missed them.

She missed the impact of a volleyball colliding with her forearm as she bumped it over the net.

She missed being able to truly grip a steering wheel.

It smelled terribly of smoke. The eight year old didn’t quite know what was happening. She hated the smell of smoke.

She screamed out to her mother as the smoke twisted around her throat and filled her lungs. She was now coughing violently.

Her arms were numb, pinned beneath hot metal. It was funny and strange how it didn’t seem to hurt at all. Perhaps her mind was blocking the sensation?

She called out for her mother again and then her father. This time it was more of a shriek.

Why wasn’t anyone helping her? Why wasn’t anyone answering?

Blood. So much of it. Pouring down her forehead where the glass dug in. It formed a warm pool around her head and seemed to fill her ears.

Her head was spinning, ears ringing. And with a slight turn of her head, through blurry vision she could see feet scrambling by.

Screaming.

Crying.

Shouting.

The sound of a siren blaring—one of the newest Satomobile models. A model specially designed for the cops.

5. Opal

To be honest I'm not a huge Opal fan however I don think she's a pretty girl. She's only at 5 though because I think she's more cute than pretty. I think her eyes are really pretty, a nice shade of green. And I love her hair, I like short hair.

4. Eska

Much like I said in my top 5 prettiest Avatar girls; I have a thing for the darker more Gothic look. I love Eska's eyes, they are a very pretty shade of blue. I also love her blue makeup, blue is a great color. :3 Believe it or not I actually do really like how her makeup is styled in the above image, even though it's the product of crying her eyes out. I also like her face shape.

3. P'Li

First and foremost, this woman is the master of awesome hair styles; I love that straggly bun and I also love the crazy braids. P'Li is just downright unique in regards to looks. Like the other characters she has pretty eyes, I also love the shape of her lips. And dat forehead tattoo, talk about kick-butt.

Korra (The Legend of Korra)
Hating on the Avatar, people? That could be dangerous for your physical well-being.
Selfish; doesn’t think about the consequences of her actions
Congratulations, bashers! You’ve identified a little thing called a character flaw. Everyone has them, fictional characters and real people alike. Those are things that are a part of a person’s personality, and are things that she needs to work through and keep under control.
Gets everything too easily (e.g., getting her bending restored)
That’s a flaw in the writing, not the character. And for that matter, I think that Mike and Bryan did pretty well with what they had. When Nickelodeon greenlit “The Legend of Korra,” they only gave Mike and Bryan twelve episodes to present a single story—meaning, they only had twelve twenty-minute episodes to present and resolve the Equalist conflict with as few plot holes as possible. They weren’t given the next fourteen episodes until well into development, at a point where it was far too late to change anything.

Korra defeated Vaatu and Unalaq and saved the world. She decided to leave the spirit portals open so spirits can both go in the spirit and human worlds. Peace was brought back to the world once again.

~Meanwhile~

As Mako saw where Korra was at. He thought to himself.

"I need to tell her the truth. But if I tell her. Would she hate me? I didn't mean to lie to her. I feel really awful about it. I wish our stupid break up never happened. Then we would still be together. But when I tell her. Would she want us to be back together again? I really hope so. I made a mistake. I shouldn't have kissed Asami that day. It was really stupid of me. It's like I didn't care about Korra at all anymore. And that's not true. I care about her more than anything in the whole world. I don't even know why I kissed Asami. She means nothing to me. I never loved her. I need to tell her that I just want us to be friends. And that I just made a big mistake Korra might hate me for when I tell her. I really love you Korra. I'm sorry. I hope you'll forgive me" Mako said to himself. Korra got her memory of their break up back. She felt awful about it. When she was in the tree...

Chapter 1 Amon Is Alive Part 2:

I continue to run thru the woods trying by myself time till my bending comes back or i get rid of them.I then saw them they were getting closer and closer to me. I started to wish Mako or someone saw me so then at least I be more evenly matched than i was right now. I also wished that Mako or my friends did not see me, becuase if anyone should get hurt should be me. If any of them got hurt I would not be able to forgive myself. I was just about to get my bending back when one of the chei blockers chei blocked me again. Then they also began to surround me. Right then at that moment in time that I would not be able to escape. I also was wondering why they were here. I was just about to ask when I heard a familiar voice yell my name and a growl.
"KORRA" mako yelled my name.
It was Mako and my loyal polar dog Naga.

Asami( at the police station):

"I need to speak to Lei on important business ". I told the gaurds that were outside her office. They then let me in to talk to her I then explained to her what was going on and what I saw. She thhen told me...

Story Line: What would of happened if Korra and Mako never broke up after she defeated Unalaq? What would of happened if Amon did not die? Well I decided to write a story that answers those questions.

Chapter 1: Amon Is Alive Part 1

Narrator:
It had been 2 weeks since Korra had defeated Unalaq. Since then Mako decided he wanted be closer to Korra and protect her, since he almost lost when she faught Unalaq. So Tenzin allowed Him and Bolin to live at the Air Temple. Asami also lived there now since she no longer could go home since her father was arrested and the home was took as evidence. One day Tenzin got a call from Lei saying Amon was alive and was seeking revenge on Korra since she ruined his plan. So Tenzin decided he would take her, her friends, and his family to fire islands for protection. He knew someone there that would them stay there until they could find a way to defeat Amon. Tenzin hung the phone up and decided to go meet Korra and her friends at the Republic City dock to tell them and get them so the could leave.

Well, another great episode!

Jinora seems to be running out of time. She has been in the spirit world for 1 week now and is losing energy. So Katara is saving her. Team Avatar is fighting off Unalaq and friends to try and stop the Convergence, but ultimately fail. Vaatu is free and the world is now dark.

Next week is the finale, which has scenes of Korra and Unalaq fighting, which is driving me crazy!!!!! I can't wait to see it!

Well, epsiodes 11 and 12 have been the best of the season by far. If you missed them, I recommend you watch them. Have fun watching and I'll see you next week!

Alright, so here's my thought on this week's episode.

It was DEFINITELY the best episode so far this season. Bolin finally not being a jerk, Korra not being rude all the time, and wow were there some great fight scenes! Bolin saved the president from Varrick, who almost kidnapped him and Unalaq defeated Korra's dad at the end of the episode. Team Avatar is back, but of course not without Korra/Mako/Asami love triangle action. Korra doesn't remember the fight she had with Mako and still thinks that they're together, making Asami very mad. I guess we'll see what happens in Episode 12, which is coming up right now!

I love the show Legend of Korra. I'd do anything to see it get another spin-off. But the thing is, Korra is very immature.

Now I know a lot of you are going to get extremely angry while reading this.

But Aang was so much more what an ideal avatar should be in my opinion. Korra is very immature, stubborn, and hot-headed. Aang was the opposite, polar opposite to be exact.

Korra should be enforcing peace, not wanting to start a war, she shouldn't have even involved Iroh.

Another thing is, Korra knew Mako was dating Asami, but she then decides to go confess her feelings. I'm okay with that part, but then, she kisses him. What about Asami? And Bolin! Did you see him with that snot dangling from his nose and the flower petals being carried away by the wind?

Have you ever noticed that Korra cries way more then the other members of Team Avatar?
Why should she be crying?

Korra has not one but TWO of her parents, great friends, and she's the avatar. And, looking back at Aang's generation, he had a way bigger problem then she did.

As we all know in the most resent episode Asami pulled a Korra and kissed Mako on an impulse. There will inevitable be a lot of comparison between this kiss and the infamies kiss between Korra and Mako in "THE SPIRIT OF COMPETITION". I'm gonna get ahead of the game and do an official compare and contrast.

link

Here are the to kisses side by side. On first glance they look very much alike the obvious difference is of course the situation.

Situation #1: KorraxMako

Mako is in a relationship with Asami. Korra confesses her feeling for him and he tells her that it isn't going to happen. However he later tells her that his feelings for her are complicated and he does like her but also likes Asami. Caught up in the moment she kisses him.

Situation #2: AsamixMako
