Alys Shee was born in Toronto, Canada and began her ballet training at the Academy of Ballet and Jazz School for the Canadian Ballet Theatre, with Nadia Veselova Tencer and Evelyn Hart. Shee�s repetoire includes Giselle (Act II pas de deux), Don Quixote (Kitri), Aubers Grand Pas Classique, Le Corsaire, Coppιlia (grand pas de deux), La Bayadθre (Gamzatti), La Esmeralda, as well as contemporary works by Roerto Campanella and Edwaard Liang. She has also performed in Canadian Ballet Theatre�s productions of The Nutcracker and Giselle.
Shee was a recipient of the Silver Medal at the 2009 Moscow International Ballet Competition. In the same year, she took First Place for pas de deux at the Youth America Grand Prix Regional competition in Orlando and then won the Silver Medal for pas de deux at the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in New York City. In 2010, Shee was awarded the Silver Medal at the USA International Ballet Competition, as well as the South African International Ballet Competition.
Shee joined ABT II in September 2010.
Shee is the 2010 Chisholm Foundation Scholar.
