Spangel is actually a guilty pleasure of mine. The only male/male ship I can see in that show, and there was an implied one night stand. They've got a very complicated and textured relationship really.

I'm intrigued by all of them.

There's actually a few people who think Joss might end the series with all three, Spike & Buffy & Angel in a menege a trois. I doubt that will happen though, because he already pushed a lot of moral viewers with making Willow a lesbian.

And I do recall that Joss once jokingly called Spike the perfect girl for Angel, lol. And he said, 'I already had the perfect couple. It was Spike and Angel.' Then there was David Fury who implied the real love story of Angel season five was Spike and Angel, lol.

I love Spangelus as well. Even though I'm a Bangel shipper, I also love reading Bangelus and Spangelus fanfiction.

i don't know if i'd call bangelus a mash up...but they are the couple i love most on this list since i consider them to be bangel- and bangel is always my number 1. but i also loooove spangel.

i can see why people consider angel and angelus to be different people...i mean having a soul makes a huge difference. but the same way i'd consider spike before having a soul to be different than spike with a soul. but buffy's relationship or interactions with angel when he did not have a soul, is still part of the "buffy and angel relationship". a big part of why i love buffy & angel so much is because of what happened to them when he lost his soul (how he acted, who he became, how their relationship changed, and how they overcame all of that in the next season). i would say there was a big change in the dynamics of their relationship....but it's still part of the buffy and angel relationship. the same way seasons five and six with spike and buffy is still the "spuffy relationship"...it's still spike and buffy- it's just different than the way they were in season 7 because that's when he had a soul. spike and buffy weren't technically "boyfriend and girlfriend" in seasons 5 and 6 (well, i guess not seven either- but it's different in the seventh season) but they had a sort of relationship. the same goes for buffy and angel. when angel does not have a soul- they are still buffy and angel...it's just the dynamics are different because he is soul-less.
i can see why people somewhat separate soul-full angel and soul-less angel (angelus), but i think there is too much of a divider placed between the two. it's the same as soul-full spike and soul-less spike--- they are different, but most people still consider them the same character.

Spike and Angelus! There could be oil of some kind! There is hot man-on-man action, and you guys go for the obvious. Ugg.
