Okay, so, I decided to just randomly make an article about Barbie characters. Then I thought, why not make it a countdown? So here it is:
#10. Nola from Secret Door
Nola may not be a huge character, but I loved her in the movie. She is cute and sweet and is one of my favorite characters. I just wish they made a doll out of her.
#9. Kara from Princess Power
I know, this movie hasn't even come out yet and I am yet very fond of Kara. I really like her superhero design and I can't wait to see more of her!
#8. Alexa from Secret Door
For me, Alexa is a lot like Nori in the sense that she wasn't very catchy. I like her a lot, and same with Nori, but neither of them can compare to Romy.
#7. Luciana from Island Princess
I love Luciana! She is so sweet and I love her colors. The purple dress she wears is beautiful! She is very selfless and wants to make everyone else happy.
#6. Nori from Secret Door
I really like Nori and her character design, but for me she is kind of bland, especially compared to Romy. She is nice, very adventurous, and her fairy wings are my favorite wings from Barbie movies, but I feel like she was a less important character and that Romy should have been a bigger part than her. Nori does learn some valuable lessons, and her character is well-developed, but she just wasn't enough for me.
#5. Lumina from Pearl Princess
I really like Lumina because she always puts others first, which I think is a great message. She has an amazing power which I think is just beautiful because she is so creative and smart. Even in the first scene of the movie where she creates that incredible ballroom out of ocean creatures and pearls you notice how artistic she is.
#4. Delancy from Princess Charm School
I have always liked Delancy, especially how in the end she decides that she wants what is right for the kingdom and gives the crown to Blair/Sophia. I love the scene when Blair/Sophia asks her to be her Lady Royal and Delancy says, "Blair, why me? I was horrible to you." That one line is probably the best quote in the whole movie.
#3. Isla from Princess Charm School
I love love love Isla! She is a heartwarming, fun character. She is beautiful I love her design. She also has the prettiest outfits out of the four main characters. She is nice to everyone and is very resourceful. Isla has an amazing talent in music that in the end winds up saving Blair/Sophia and Hadley from starving to death in the royal vault.
#2. Sandrine from Pearl Princess
Where to start? Sandrine is a flawless, well-rounded character and she is, in my opinion, the best character in the whole entire movie. She is a naturally tougher person in terms of personality, but she isn't mean. She isn't a fan of romance, but neither am I. She is a loyal and caring friend, and definitely has a soft spot for her friends Lumina, Cora, Kuda, Spike, and Madame Rukus. And her accent is AMAZING! It fits her so well! Sandrine is one of my favorite characters and I absolutely love her!
#1. Romy from Secret Door
Okay, I must say that Romy completely deserves to be at the top of this list. I'm pretty sure you already knew she would be here anyway. This is just my opinion, but she is probably the most entertaining and well-developed character I have ever seen. Her character design is flawless and captures her personality perfectly. I love how her design also represents her being a mermaid and the fact that she lives in the sea and wears seashells on her dress. As for her personality, she is a sweet, caring, and pretty darn hilarious character. I like how they paid attention to details in her character like when she says, "It's this pure oxygen you land folk breathe! It's making me dizzy!" They actually use that as the reason for her being so jumpy on land. But when she gets her tail back, she sings, "Now I'm myself again!" So I love the detail that went into Romy's character.
