My heart was beating as I was getting ready to get to dinner. Madame de La Grande Bouche was trying to find me a dress that would be just right for dancing.

Madame: What about this black dress? I wore it to perform once!

Belle: Black doesn't really say happy!
Madame: Well then what does say happy to you?
Belle: Yellow!
Madame: Let me see... Ah here! Oh no! It is just some yellow fabric!
Belle: I have to be at dinner at nine! We have only two hours to make a beautiful dress!
Madame: we have some enchanted knitting needles!
Belle: Can you make it quick?
Madame: Of course!

After an hour, Belle was ready. Madame opened the door, and well....the rest is history. Well she did trip on the stairs but still. It was a beautiful evening.

Veronica closed her green eyes as she reached into her sleeve. She opened her eyes when she pulled something out and placed it in her daughter’s hands. Belle saw that it was a stone in every color of the rainbow.

Veronica: To make sure that I keep my promise that I won’t disappear from your life again, wear this stone as a necklace or a bracelet. Whenever you need me, just hold it in your hands and wish to see me. I’ll be there.

Belle stared at the rainbow stone, then looked at her mother. Then, out of nowhere, Belle jumped on Veronica, the same way a child would jump and hug its mother. At first, Adam and Lydia were surprised, but they saw the relaxed look on Veronica’s face as she hugged her daughter. Lydia smiled, grabbed her son’s hand and took him into the hall.

Adam: (exhales) I still can’t believe that you’ve been alive all this time.
Lydia: I know you’re probably angry because of that.
Adam: No, I’m not. I’m still trying to absorb everything. You’re still breathing and a sorceress.

Female voice: (squeals) MY BABY’S GETTING MARRIED!!!

As soon as Belle and Adam heard that squeal, they broke the kiss, jumped and fell out of the bed.

Adam: Where did that come from?
Female voice: Whoops, sorry. I didn’t mean to startle the two of you.

Suddenly, the bright light returned near the curtains. Out of the curtains...was Veronica. Adam was greatly surprised.

Veronica: Sorry about the squeal.
Belle: (gets up) You always squeal.
Adam: (gets up) Belle, is this...?
Belle: Adam, meet my ‘long-lost’ mother, Veronica.
Veronica: (curtsies) Your highness, so you’re Lydia’s son. You look so much like her.
Adam: (gulps/walks backwards) You’re the woman who’s my mother’s best friend.
Veronica: Of course, you don’t have to be scared of me.
Belle: Uh, mama, (whispers into her mother’s ear) Adam was placed under a spell for ten years.
Veronica: Oh! Okay, I understand. I won’t do anything to you, not just because you’re my best friend’s son; you’re also my daughter fiancé.
