I found this wise letter written to a, well, if i said what i wanted to, it would take too long. So, just read.

Dear Mr. Thatcher,

I have been a loyal user of your Always maxi pads for over 20 years, and I appreciate many of their features. Why, without the LeakGuard Core™ or Dri-Weave™ absorbency, I’d probably never go horseback riding or salsa dancing, and I’d certainly steer clear of running up and down the beach in tight, white shorts. I have seen this somewhere, probably even in this club, “this” being the statement that the best thing about being a woman is the ability to doll yourself up. I must say that I have been completely confused. I cannot understand why anyone would willingly objectify themselves and see it as something to be proud of. And, before you ask, I am not talking about BDSM or any variation thereof, because sexual preferences of consenting adults are absolutely none of my business. :) What I have in mind is making a doll out of yourself on a daily basis. One more thing, I am not trying to belittle or offend those who do so, merely attempting to understand the reasons behind it. I am over rape.

I am over rape culture, rape mentality, rape pages on Facebook.

I am over the thousands of people who signed those pages with their real names without shame.

I am over people demanding their right to rape pages, and calling it freedom of speech or justifying it as a joke.

I am over people not understanding that rape is not a joke and I am over being told I don't have a sense of humor, and women don't have a sense of humor, when most women I know (and I know a lot) are really fucking funny. We just don't think that uninvited penises up our anus, or our vagina is a laugh riot.

I am over how long it seems to take anyone to ever respond to rape.
