In this episode Four Arms is back again! Ben is fighting a Yeti. I’m assuming that a Yeti is an alien that lives on earth because Grandpa Max said that all those mythical creatures are real. Or maybe it isn’t an alien; who really cares.
Dr. Animo is back (he says his name a lot) and so I guess since he is out of the Null Void, he no longer goes by DaVoid. I like that name better because it always made me laugh-its gangsta. DA-Void! Pimpin’. When I first saw Kevin lying down, I was confused, but he was just taking apart the Yeti machine, so yeah. Ben then turns into Brainstorm. And I was shocked at that because he hasn’t used Brainstorm in a very long time. He isn’t that popular. I then, was really confused when Dr. Animo was looking weird being attacked by the Yeti, but he was being held upside down so I was no longer confused and I just thought that that looked cool. Then the team finds out from the Plumbers that Bellwood is being attacked.
After the theme, the scene is in Bellwood. There is an alien turtle that is rampaging. I really think that an alien turtle is really unoriginal because turtles are from earth. When I think of Extra Terrestrials, I think of something unthinkable by the human mind that has nothing to do with earth at all. Those are the kinds of creatures that I would like to see more of in this show. I’ve said this before, and other people have told me that it is logical, but I just want to see some freaky aliens. I mean, Ultimate Humongasaur already looks enough like a turtle; why have more turtle aliens? We already have the Ninja Turtles!
Okay, so the way the alien turtle sound when it talks, is SO funny. I’m really sorry, but it sounds retarded-like, dumb. No offense but he sounded so stupid. While fighting, Ben turned into Big Chill, then into Ultimate Big Chill which we are still figuring out. The fire he blasts is ice! His Ultimate Big Chill powers are very cool. Then Gwen (being the smart one) noticed how the alien wasn’t hurting anyone. They referenced the episode where they had found an alien baby, and asked Gwen if she thought it was another alien baby. Then the turtle alien spoke again.
Kevin: “Thems fightin’ words…probly.”
Gwen then again referenced another past episode; the one with the dragon with the broken translator. Kevin uses his Plumber badge as a translator and Gwen was right. The alien is actually good and he just wanted to find Ben.
While Gwen and Kevin keep Ben’s crowd of adoring fans back, he talks to the alien.
Ben: “Hear that guys? There’s a song about me.”
Now, the turtle starts to tell his story. He says that his race lacks aggression and how they just hover above the ground all day eating grass. That’s the life. No war, fighting, working. Just relax all day and enjoy life. Where is this planet? They have grass; maybe we could live there.
Kevin then shows us his trust issues when he says he doesn’t trust the turtle and he doubts that there was an Osmosian that went to the turtle’s planet.
Galapagus continues on with his story, although now he isn’t talking to the team, but it’s a full on flashback. Him, and a group of other aliens are all incarcerated with suppressed powers. In the beginning of the conversation, they are just getting to know Turtle-Face, they find out that there isn’t even lying on his planet and he doesn’t know what that is. Again, where is this amazing planet? He also mentions that they have pleasant weather.
Then they talk about Aggregor, who abducted them and stole their powers. Aggregor could only use the absorbed powers in a lesser strength, like Kevin way back when he absorbed the Omnitrix power six years ago. Ben figured out how to use all the Omnitrix powers that Kevin had absorbed to make them more efficient. In the episode “Grudge Match” Ben told Kevin to combine the powers so that together, they’d be more powerful. That was only to help them get off a prison ship though.
Back to the episode. They all escape and get their powers back thanks to the red alien that comes off as being the smartest and has great leadership qualities. We have already seen him in the premiere-he is Bivalvan who was helped by Ben, Gwen, and Kevin but was taken by Aggregor at the end of the premiere episode. Now we know what and who Bivalvan was talking about in that episode.
Galapagus: “I’m following that guy.”
While escaping, they find out that they are on a ship and they can’t exactly escape. They try to figure out a plan, but not all of them agree on what to do. Two aliens who seem more hard-headed and bold go straight to Agrregor, and the other three that include Turtle-Face and Bivalvan go to what seems to be a control room. The “bad” aliens didn’t stand a chance against Aggregor and his minions.
Aggregor puts them all back in their cell, but thanks to the distress call that Galapagus sent out earlier, Magister Prior Ghalil finds them!
WHATS TRIPPY:
Okay, so at the beginning of the episode, it was Ghalil’s voice telling the team about the rampage in Bellwood, but how did he tell them that if he got stunned by Aggregor? Because he got shocked way before this episode because they are talking about a flashback.
So they were pretty close to escaping again, but since the Magister was down and they figured that Aggregor wasn’t going to kill them they had to find a new plan. Andreas (yellow alien) started destroying the ship’s walls. Everyone escapes but the turtle. They go to what seems to be Aggregor’s main room and while there, Aggregor’s plans are discovered. He states that Osmosians only get one tenth (?) of the powers they absorb, but he created a machine that can help him with that. They also found out that Turtle-Face neutralized their powers. Aggregor lied about letting Galapagus go if he helped with that, but Galapagus lied too! For the first time, right? Congratulations Mr. Turtle! He then took down Aggregor.
Bivalvan: “I’m with that guy.”
They escape in an escape pod and go to earth where they escape. Bivalvan, who seemed like the smartest and wisest said that they should stay at the escape pod because it’s the only way off of the planet and said that Aggregor would track them down, but no one listened.
Back from the flashback, Ben got Galapagus’ DNA sample and he now has this species in the Ultimatrix.
The team thought that Galapagus was going to be safe, but the episode ends with Aggregor on the Plumber ship, taking back the aliens one by one.
Galapagus’ name is most likely an adaption from some islands. On earth, (duh) there are islands off the coast of Mexico called the Galapagos Islands. On these islands there are tortoises/turtles which are hundreds of years old and they’re so big that small children could ride on their backs. I think the show’s writer Dwayne McDuffie took the turtle characters name from these islands because of this reason.
This episode was one that needed to be told because it’s going to be the main storyline of the whole show. The story that Galapagus told needed to be said and I think it is good that we got it out of the way sooner rather than later. Now we know what’s going on!
