Let me just say that I am generally excited. My teacher says were studying mysteries and his selection was Sherlock Holmes. After we are done with the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle book, The Hounds of Baskerville, we watch the episode. I will probably be crying to see the beautiful Benedict Cumberbatch on screen.

“Being on the set with him… I think everyone was bringing their absolute A-game. I think, frankly, in a way, his presence sort of elevated everything. Time and again, every scene, Benedict brought a surprising, unexpected, grounded, real and often terrifying aspect to the role. So we are incredibly grateful, all of us.”

“Cumberbatch, with his alabaster skin and aquamarine eyes, has that vaguely tubercular Romantic beauty known to cause women with PhDs in comparative literature to scream aloud whenever his name is mentioned”

“Benedict is a marvelous actor with great instincts. He’s a very instinctive actor. I’ve seen him as the young Sherlock but here you see that he is a marvelous actor and I always get a sense that he is ‘in the moment’ and that he is very real and very believable. I think he’s got a great future.”
Has someone read that Benedict shall become "the" part in Tom Hanks new film about Beatle-manager Epstein? Sounds great, doesn´t it?

If people are going to pose questions about Benedict they should make sure they know the answer first. Someone asked "Where does BC live in London?". All four optional answers were wrong. He lives in Hampstead.over a year ago
“All of the actors found some words tricky to say, but, amusingly, the words that Benedict Cumberbatch seemed to find the trickiest were ‘Benedict Cumberbatch´”

Was all excited when I found out Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be in part of The Hobbit series...then found out he's Smaug the Dragon and Sauron and became some what depressed.

I'm pretty sure he'll make a magnificent dragon and a terrific Necromancer, only imagine that voice <3 There's nothing to be sad about :)over a year ago
I'm crossing my fingers that tonight Benedict Cumberbatch wins the Emmy for Best Actor in a TV Fim/Mini Series. He deserves the win!

He's to blame for the term "Cumberbatched". In an interview for Sherlock after it aired in the UK for the season he said "I have Cumberbatched the UK". So in a weird way he gave himself the nickname that we all die-hard fans like to refer ourselves as. lol. God bless his brilliance and awesomeness.over a year ago
Last night i saw Frankenstein in the cinema and i have to say it was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. Both performances by Benedict and Johnny were amazing you could bits of the creature in Frankenstein and bits of Frankenstein in the creature as well. It was refreshing to see Benedict play a different role rather than him being typecast as he usually is. He portrayed the creature very very well and his childlike wonder came through when the creature tried to walk for the first time tears were in my eyes

Please sign this petition to get a performance of Benedict's in Frankenstein on DVD. It's airing for a limited time in the theaters on the big screen in some cities for a limited time, but not everyone has the access or the means to watch Benedict's performance. Please sign this petition if you want more Benedict!

Does anyone know WHERE to finda well-dressed, handsome, intelligent, cultured man with great hair and a wide vocabulary? It has to be more than just one in the world. Right? RIGHT?

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is a limited release in the states, which seems to translate into "not showing anywhere on the east coast" And series 2 of Sherlock isn't airing till may. I smell a conspiracy and I don't like it

Apparently, when Benedict agreed to pose for photos outside the National, he stipulated that they weren't to be posted online. Most fans respected his wishes but some naughty person took a video of the whole scene and put it on YouTube. Hardly fair.

Someone is saying Jared Padalecki looks like Benedict "totally". How insulting!!!!!!!! Methinks someone needs to get their eyes tested.

Such a nice guy. He must be really tired after his performance in Frankenstein but stil takes the time to sign autographs and pose for photos with fans afterwards. I am also impressed by his support of the campaign to keep open the alzheimer's centre in West Hampstead. He just gets better all the time.

And me again. As a pom living in Oz I really get frustrated sometimes that I can't get to see all Benedict's work. We got Sherlock of course and I have managed to get some of his films on dvd but there is so much I can't get. Makes me want to move back to the UK just so I can see more of him. Would love to see at least one of his plays before I die.

I'm back again. A few days ago I read this quote from Hugh Muir's diary. "BC has a massive reputation as an intelligent, cerebral actor but he has ginger hair so I can't help but think of him as a peasant". I thought "How rude". Then saw at the quote in context and found it was a translation of Ian Shuttleworth's comment "BC is too rustic an actor to be taken seriously as the silkily intelligent scientist Victor Frankenstein. He is no Colin Clive or Peter Cushing". Again I thought "How rude".

As nobody else seems to have anything to say atm I will write more rubbish. It never fails to amaze me that Benedict can't see how handsome he is. He says his face isn't his commodity. Well it isn't his only one as with many actors who don't have his talent but it is definitely one of them. He has been known to say he thinks he has a funny face. Well, if that is the case then funny must be a synonym for beautiful.

I tried to post a comment on deviantART saying I didn't like the painting and they wouldn't show it. Obviously it is a site where so-called artists kiss each one another's backsides.

If you haven't seen the painting of Benedict on deviantART by CandyLane02 then you should take a look. Most people seem to like it but I personally think it's a disgustingly ugly caricature. The "artist" has turned a gorgeous looking man into a freak imo.

I know I'm a bit late saying this but I was not happy that Benedict didn't win at the National TV Awards. David Jason may be good but Benedict is better. His portrayal of Sherlock is nothing short of brilliant. I hope he didn't feel too disappointed poor love.
