How old do you think Merida is?

Between the ages of 16 and 20.

I figure she is around 14-16 years old. But like the first comment said it officially states she is 16 years old at the bottom of the 4th page in the amazon preview.

I thought it was officially 18, but obviously I'm wrong. Anyways 16 makes more sense.

Most likely between the ages of 15 to 16. That was the most typical age to be married in her time.

I tried to figure that out after seeing the movie, and decided that she was probably anywhere from 16 to like, 21 or 22. Given that 16 seems a popular age for Disney princesses as well as for marrying girls off way back in the day, I kind of settled on that. Like Ariel, she can pass for a 16-year-old. And then I flipped through the junior novelization at Barnes & Noble and discovered that I was right. ^^

I always thought she was Snow's age, 14, since she's short and so immature, but 16 works too.
