As Britney Spears launched her seventh studio album "Femme Fatale" in April this year, all Brit fans were happy, the excellent pop singer was back.
I don't know how many Britney's fans there are, but I am. Spears has fallen ever-so-slightly from grace. We still love her (increasingly auto-toned) music, her early music really gave us much surprise, excitment and movie. Years has past, do you guys remember these great music of her? Let's have a look below, to find which one ever moved you, hit you.
...Baby One More Time
This is my favorite song. "...Baby One More Time" garnered international praise from music critics, with most calling it the highlight of the album. The song was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. "...Baby One More Time" achieved commercial success, reaching the top spot in every country it charted on, and remains Spears' most successful single. In the United Kingdom, it became the highest selling single of 1999, and is worldwide one of the best-selling singles of all time, with over nine million copies sold.
Oops!... I Did It Again
Yep, another time Spears has done it again. Or rather, Spears recorded "Baby One More Time" one more time. The title track is so similar to Britney's breakthrough hit, it's eerie. That's not to say it isn't catchy. Like the other 11 tracks on "Oops!", the single is danceable, hummable and fun. The album is also everything you'd expect from Spears: light, cute, silly -- and a bit bland.
From the Bottom of My Broken Heart
The song was released on December 15, 1999 by Jive Records, as the fifth and final single from the album. The sentimental teen pop ballad, speaks of a woman recalling her first love and wishing it had not ended, as her true emotions are revealed "from the bottom of [her] broken heart."
The song was released on June 7, 1999 by Jive Records, as the second single from the album. The teen pop song, speaks about a relationship where a girl is shy and does not express all of her feelings to her partner, despite wanting to.
"Toxic" is a dance-pop song with influences of electropop and bhangra music, accompanied by high-pitched strings and breathy vocals. Its lyrics refer to being addicted to a lover. It attained worldwide success, it became her first single to peak inside the top ten in almost four years. The accompanying music video for the song portrays Spears as a secret agent in the search of a vial of green liquid. After she steals it, she enters an apartment and poisons her unfaithful boyfriend.
(You Drive Me) Crazy
This song was released on August 23, 1999 by Jive Records, as the third single from the album. The song was a commercial success reaching the top ten positions in almost every country it charted in. It also gave Spears her second top ten hit in the United States.
"Everytime" is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears from her fourth album, In the Zone. It was released on May 17, 2004, by Jive Records as the third single from the album. After Spears ended her relationship with pop singer Justin Timberlake, she made friends with her backing vocalist Annet Artani. While Spears composed the music on her piano, she wrote the song with Artani in Italy. It is thought to be Spears's response to Timberlake's 2002 single "Cry Me a River", but she has neither confirmed or denied these allegations. "Everytime" is considered an adult pop ballad with breathy vocals. Its lyrics are a plea for forgiveness for inadvertently hurting a former lover. Love this song so much.
Looking at these songs, is there a little place in your mind for reminding of it or just the time to listen to these songs? I do. And recently years, Britney is not spare also, she has many other great songs such as: Circus, Womanizer, and Hold It Against Me, Till the World Ends, I Wanna Go released in this year.
