La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la

Oh baby, baby, have you seen Amy tonight?
Is she in the bathroom, is she smokin' up outside? (Oh!)
Oh baby, baby, does she take a piece of lime
For the drink that I'mma buy her, do you know just what she likes? (Oh!)

Oh (Oh)
Tell me have you seen her, cause I'm so (Oh)
I can't get her off of my brain
I just wanna go, to the party she gon' go
Can't somebody take me home?
Haha, hehe, haha, ho

Love me, hate me
Say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

Love me, hate me
But can't you see what I see?
All of the boys and all of the girls
Are begging to if you seek Amy

(Love me, hate me) La, la, la, la-la, la, la, la

There's only two types of people in the world
The ones that entertain, and the ones that observe
Well baby, I'm a put on a show kind of girl
Don't like the back seat, gotta be first

I'm like the ring leader, I call the shots
I'm like a firecracker, I make it hot
When I put on a show

I feel the adrenaline moving through my veins
Spotlight on me and I'm ready to break
I'm like a performer, the dance floor is my stage
Better be ready, hope that you feel the same

All eyes on me in the center of the ring,
Just like a circus
When I crack that whip, everybody gonna trip,
Just like a circus
Don't stand there watching me, follow me,
Show me what you can do
Everybody let go, we can make a dance floor,
Just like a circus

There's only two types of guys out there
Ones that can hang with me, and ones that are scared
So baby, I hope that you came prepared

"When you think about it, Britney Spears is an artist - a pop artist, in the truest sense." (Quote from Jenny Eliscu, a writer for Rolling Stone) []

Career beginnings, Artistic development
As early as her childhood years, Britney was determined to make it in the entertainment industry. She began signing at talent shows from a young age and, despite media reports, pushed her parents to help her pursue her career rather than them pushing her. After attending an arts school in New York, she acted on "The Mickey Mouse Club" for several years before it was canceled. At age 15, Spears was signed to Jive Records. Even as a newly signed artist, Britney made sure she had input into all of her music - she would review all the lyrics and production of the songs before recording them and would ask the producers and writers to make changes if she felt this was nescessary (such as changing "Born To Make You Happy" to be less sexual), she would also or ask the producers to change parts of the songs' instrumentation if she was unhappy with the way the songs sounded, showing that she has been more involved and had more input and control over her music from the start of her career...

2001:
"Britney Spears will re-shoot the video for her next single, 'Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know' because she is unhappy with the final edit, which was filmed on a Miami Beach last month. The singer famously chose photographer Herb Ritts to direct the video, known for his erotic black and white photographs. Ritts previously shot Madonna's 'Cherish' video and Janet Jackson's 'Love Will Never Do (Without You)'. It is not clear whether the new video will mirror the original, in which Britney shared a kiss with a French model." The scenes deleted were considered to be too racy at the time. "When it came time to make a promo clip for . . . Baby One More Time, Spears had to show that her Southern conviviality had its limits. Jive had hired on video director Joseph Khan, whose concept reached the storyboard stage before Spears spoke up. "They had this really bizarre video idea, this animated Power Ranger-y thing," she explains. "I said, `This is not right. If you want me to reach four-year-olds, then OK, but if you want me to reach my age group. . .' So I had this idea where we're in school and bored out of our minds, and we have Catholic uniforms on. And I said, `Why don't we have knee-highs and tie the shirts up to give it a little attitude?' -- so it wouldn't be boring and cheesy." The seventeen-year-old won the day, and the rest is chart history." April 15, 1999

"Britney had learned early in life through role models like Madonna that image was as important as the music for mainstream success, though even Madonna's first video appearance wasn't as controversial as Britney's. JIVE had selected 'Baby One More Time' as the lead single, proposing an animated video with Britney as a Space Rangers-type heroine. Britney was horrified: "I was freaking out. They...

"On Tuesday's opening night of her "Circus" tour at the New Orleans Arena, Britney Spears, the mighty Aphrodite with the troublesome tawdry streak, nonetheless renewed her claim as one of the world's most adept manipulators of the public interest. Powering through a 90-minute show that integrated her impetuous teen hits with the more perverse material from the albums she released after a very public breakdown that made her a constant in the tabloids, the Louisiana native flashed her famous good ol' girl smile at the fans, mostly female, who still find her a worthy patron saint of the erotic arts."
- LAtimes.com

"The Circus show packs 17 song segments and every under-the-big-top cliche except Siegfried & Roy's white tigers into a crowd-pleasing hour and 45 minutes. A comeback, certainly, and a solid one at that. But all the sex, fire and stomp-and-slither choreography can't disguise the fact that the production needs a bigger, purely musical core (a few more songs from the current album would have helped) - and some spontaneity. It wasn't until Spears finally called out "Thank you, New Orleans" after finishing her Womanizer encore that the crowd got a glimpse...

The elaborate costumes are packed. The 16 semis filled with magic props and big-top sets are on the road.

When Britney Spears takes the stage at the New Orleans Arena on March 3 – the opening night of her Circus tour – the stakes will never be higher.

After more than two years of personal drama, the tour will either make or break the professional comeback she began last fall.

According to sources, Spears, 27, who left Friday for Louisiana, has been hard at work preparing for the show, which will feature her signature sexy dance moves, a stage filled with three circus rings, and magic tricks.

"She's pretty determined," a friend tells PEOPLE. "She missed singing and performing and the freedom of that. It gives her an escape and it's what she loves to do, so she's definitely thankful to be doing that again."

Redeeming Herself
Though the pop star seemed to be back in old Britney form when she sang "Womanizer" on Good Morning America in December, the concert will be her biggest performance since her disastrous, out-of-shape appearance at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.

Circus is the sixth studio album by American pop singer Britney Spears. Jive Records, in collaboration with Zomba Label Group and Sony Music Entertainment, released it on November 28, 2008. Having moved over 505,000 copies in the United States in its first week, Circus debuted on the Billboard 200 at number one, making it Spears's fifth number-one album. The feat made Spears the only act in Nielsen SoundScan history to have four albums debut with 500,000 or more copies sold.[3]

The first single, "Womanizer", became Spears's first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 since her debut "...Baby One More Time", almost 10 years prior.[4][5] The second single, the title track of the album, "Circus", debuted at number three on the Hot 100 chart.[6]

Britney Jean Spears (born December 2, 1981) is an American recording artist and entertainer. Born in McComb, Mississippi and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, Spears first appeared on national television in 1992 as a contestant on the Star Search program, and went on to star on the television series The New Mickey Mouse Club from 1993–1994. After a brief membership with the pop musical group Innosense, Spears signed a recording contract with Jive Records, releasing her debut album ...Baby One More Time in 1999. The album established her as a pop icon and "bona fide pop phenomenon", credited for influencing the revival of teen pop in the late 1990s.[1]

Spears's personal life began to gain substantial media attention after her marriage to Kevin Federline in 2004. Their marriage ended two years later, resulting in an ongoing custody battle over their two children, born in 2005 and 2006.[2][3] Spears released her fifth studio album Blackout in 2007. The following year Spears released her sixth studio album Circus.

she's been though hell and back this year, but I’m so glad she's back.
It must of been hard for her having her children taken away. People doubted that she will get through her days with out drinking, but i always knew that she would fight it and be on the top of the world again.

I was disappointed when she shaved her hair, i never knew she would go that far, and i think it was all Kevin’s fault that’s what made her do it, i have no right to judge but she's never been like that before.

That's how desperate for attention she was
The poor girl was pressured when she was young and her stupid parents raised her wrong so she had no idea what she was supposed to do with life. She's going through tough stuff. Her idiot of a husband divorced her. she lost her kids. She went to rehab. You cant blame the woman for wanting attention. She was raised wrong. Thats just it. Her parents raised her wrong. And people always make fun of her and say bad things about her. Like on Meet the Spartans and Family Guy they make fun of her. They made fun of a tortured little girl in a woman's body. Thats all Britney is. People always say like "oh Britney Spears is so stupid, she shaved her head" well think if you were raised by some selfish people who just wanted money and if you were divorced by your dirtbag husband who was using you and if you lost your two kids, would you want to be treated that way? It's true poor Brit is mentally ill and the paparazzi reporting every move she makes isnt good for her. If she just went back home to Louisiana and had a little time to herself to think about things and get herself together again it might do her some good. I personally am not a fan of her music, but I feel strongly...

This year has been the craziest year for Britney and one where everyone was at the point of tearing out their hair due to her antics. But if we put all the partying, silly pictures and so on aside, and ask ourselves does Britney still have any loyal fans - the answer YES!
Personally - I feel bad for Bitney when i see all those photos, and jokes made at her expense - i believe that she's going through a rough patch and will be over it after a while. Although i vowed never to buy/download another Britney song/album because all my friends are "over" her i still couldnt stop myself. Result - i totally loved her new album From her foot-tapping gimme more to her peice of me which showed that Britney cares more than she lets on about how we all treat her.
Critics/Haters - If we still look at all the people around us, everyone is a fan of Britney even her crtics because why would they make Britney the center of their lives and go on smashing her reputation? The answer is very simple - they used to love Britney, after all the recent issues shes been having they want to do the "right thing" so they slander her BUT at the end of the day they still talk about Britney and...

A few days ago, it was announced that K-fed would get custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James. Their mother, Britney, would only be allowed supervised visits. This happened after a number of accusations and incidents came to light. First, Britney was travelling with her baby on her lap, without a seatbelt while she drove around. After this, she nearly dropped her other child. A person close to her told of how she left her children in soiled nappies for hours. Another time, she romped in the pool with her assistant, while her kids were in the house. She used to be a role model, someone who refused to swear even when in character. But nowadays, you would ban your kids from admiring her, or hope that they wouldn't! But is it right, that the man who made her this way, should get the kids?

He cheated on her, lied to her and just made her feel bad about herself. This is the result. She was distraught at losing custody, and plans to get them back. Is this the wake-up call she needs? Who knows. I just hope she can get back on track. I don't know who should get the toddlers, but I just have their best intrests at heart. So who should get the children, comment please. Oh and...
