The Scoobies 2009 on Fanpop are, sadly over. The Scoobies began as a way to bring attention back to our spot and get things biting again and I am pleased to say that it was a success. During the month (May to June 2009) that this event took place the Spot gained over 51 new members (I didn’t start counting until a week before though, so it’s probably more), got a chat room, made users who used to be Lurkers into Actives and had a blast. Below you fill find a link to everything associated with the Scoobies 2009.

But… before you go there let me just fill you in on what they Scoobies are. The Scoobies are the fan run Oscars for Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Fanpop. It is completely fan run, we pick the categories, put up the nominations, vote, advertise, make icons, and run everything to do with it. It is truly a fan event. Now, to linkage with you!

link – Where we took nominations for the categories. For a nominee to advance to the real ballot they had to be first nominated and then seconded by a different user.

link – This was a great idea from link but, and I believe it was because everyone was so focused on the show awards, fizzled, I’m sure this will occur though at some point aslink rocks.

link – link asks what the Scoobies are and we have what might be the smallest overview of our large event.
