I've always thought cannibal Corpse was Sic, as I've been on the metal scene since I was 15 in 1985 roadieing for Possesed in the San Fransisco Bay Area. It was The Album "TORTURE" that really stood aside for me and although there's not a track on there that I don't enjoy , The Track "SCOURGE OF IRON' really stood out for me. I thought it to be a courageous attempt at stepping outside of the well defined speed tempo that is a band distinctive, an attempt which was utterly successful in my opinion.
Some time after I watched the interview video on the making of that track and when I herd the completely random and improvised lead that was spontainiously played for the interviewer in studio I was amazed at how far the talent level had come from the bands late 80's orgins.... they talk about the big four... my big four are different and at the top is Cannibal Corpse... Talent wins out.
