1.U can write on the back your hand"no gums" and you keep remember not to chew.
2.U can move your mouth like there's a gum in it though there's not!
3.U can get bracelets for that!!(although it isn't so worth it!)
4.U can imagine gums are poisonous.
HEY. I SUGGEST U KEEP CHEWING!!
I recently studied out gum addiction because I have been chewing about a pack of Orbitz a day and its a little ridiculous if you ask me. Why:
1. Gum has control over you
2. You are always chewing
3. Every pack of gum costs at least $1 (how much does that add up to if your going through packs a day)...
4. The fake sugar (aspartame) makes you crave more
5. Aspartame is a CHEMICAL made up of various compounds (google it - its not that great for you)
6. It strains your jaw
I have stopped chewing gum cold turkey for a few days now and I feel amazing!! As for embracing your addiction, that is not the best answer....deal with it. Just like chewing nails may be a comfort and bad habit, I think gum chewing is the same. Anytime your addicted to something where you HAVE TO HAVE IT...thee is an imbalance that needs to be dealt with. What helped me to stop is to make decisions, research it more, and just drink water every time I want a piece of gum.
