I won't put any CGI movies, Anime movies or Classic Disney movies because I'd rather not mix them together or else my head will explode.
10. Prince of Egypt
I love dark and tragic movies, this one is beautiful and touching. There's something special and unique about it and I find the story very interesting. The animation and soundtrack are extraordinary. I wish I could put this movie higher but I enjoy watching the others more.
9. The Land Before Time
This was one of my favorite movies when I was little, it might be the nostalgia but I don't care. I think it has one of the saddest death...
10. Anastasia (Anastasia) I know some of ya'll are mad at me for having her so low but to be honest, I hate Anastasia and her movie. I found her stereotypical and trampish. How she got on my list, she followed her heart and has an amazing singing voice!
9.Thumbelina (Thumbelina) I remember not liking her very much either but I did like her singing voice and she did had beautiful hair and cheeks. She may be tiny, but she is mighty!
8.Kayley (The Magic Sword: Quest for Camelot) Very underrated in looks and beauty. She may be a tomboy who isn't the prettiest flower in the garden,...
Not a lot has been going on lately on Fanpop so I decided to do this article because it seemed like a lot of fun.
I'm 19 and I will turn 20 on June 10. I live in the French part of Canada which some people call Paris of North America. I originally studied 3D animation but I've tried taking several different classes for my first 2 years of College including Social Sciences. As you can see, I'm very indecisive. I now have little idea of what I want to do in life and I am on a break from College for now. I'm thinking about studying animation again but it's very risky and it will be hard to get back...
This is a top five because they are easier to write, and also because while there is a plethora of Non/Disney animated girls, a lot of them are very cliché, and I didn't want to add any I don’t really like that much to make it come to ten.Sorry for the lack of pics as well, it's just adding images on here bepuzzled me :p
5. Anastasia. It was hard to choose between her and the next in terms of rank.. She is an active, daring, energetic heroine who has you invested even as the film takes sillier turns, and she also manages to balance out her energy with maturity. I don’t think anything about...
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs I liked to watch Snow White when I was little because I liked to sing along and I loved the dwarfs but the Queen and the scary forest always scared me so much when I was a kid. I always had to fast forward through all the scary parts
Fantasia I loved the entire movie. The part that scared me was NOT the trex bit in the dinosaur scenes (in fact, I loved to the watch the trex vs stegosaurus fight) but the thunder storm part in the centaur/unicorn/pegisus/fauns/cupids scene and Bal Mountain (ESPECIALLY Bald Mountain) Even now I can not watch the Bald Mountain...
I loved watching this movie when I was a little girl so when I finally found the dvd last year and bought it I was so happy! I felt like a child again when I was watching it because it brought back so many memories. I love Judy Garland in this and the songs she sang in this especially Paris Is a Lonely Town and I love how original the plot is unlike some animated movies we see these days with all the overdone plots. The reason why this movie isn't higher on my list is because it kinda drags on during some parts of the film which makes me lose interest quickly
Time for an update, since I've seen Thumbelina and The Swan Princes for the first time this year as well as Quest For Camelot too. I've updated my list.
10- Thumbelina (Thumbelina) She's cute, but reminds me too much like Ariel. I think she could have done more rather than trying to go home and continue her search for Prince Cornelius and also a good singing voice.
9- Odette (The Swan Princess) That girl is beautiful, her voice is great though sounds annoying at times. She has a strong love for Derek but didn't like him when they were kids because she thought he was immature. She would be a good...
I asked people that voted to rank their favorite heroine outfits, and they commented with their ranks. A total of 24 users took part. The ranks here are an average of the ranks of everyone that commented. The scoring of the ranks was done by a total point score (combined points to each character from the lists of all of the people that participated)! For example, if somebody had Robin Hood as #1 on their list, then it gets 10 points. If another person has him as #2, he gets 9 points and so on. If Robin Hood is not in ranked in the top 10 on somebody's list, he gets no points.
I know this article is like months late, but I've been really busy since the beginning of the year, and I never really had the chance to write this article, and more importantly, make the pictures. Only recently I remembered I haven't written the article, so here it is now!

I would have done a top 10 but I feel strongly about my top 5 so :)
5. Son of Man - Tarzan I'm actually not a huge Phil Collins fan tbh but this song is really great and is able to put me in a good mood. One of my favorite things is the zero to hero segment and that's what Son of Man projects incredibly well.
''Oh the power to be strong and the wisdom to be wise, all these things will come to you in time''
4. Journey to the Past - Anastasia Yes, I love Journey to the Past more than Once Upon a December. This song is about Anya trying to find her family. More in depth, she has dreamt about...
How does it feel to win fan of the month for May? I'm always flattered users notice my contributions, so thank you all so much!
Why do you think the fans chose you? I guess it's because I'm pretty active, even though I'm on and off with Fanpop. When I do go on, I usually make as much polls and articles as possible.
Do you think you deserved to be fan of the month? (be honest), if not, who do think should have been voted fan of the month? I think I deserved it, though other users deserved it just as much, if I'm allowed to say that. Hmm... she doesn't come on Fanpop anymore but I feel the need...
It´s always fun to read the "Getting to know..." articles on the DP spot, but since many of us already wrote one there i thought it would be more interesting to make a new version for this club :) If you want to provide more infos about yourself, feel free to add it or to link to your other article!
Here are the questions :
1. Who was your favorite heroine as a child? (Can be more than one of course!)
2. Who is your favorite heroine now? (Again, can be more. Feel free to write down your top 3,5,whatever :) )
3. Which heroine influenced you the most? (Which heroine taught you the most, etc..)
I asked people that voted to rank their favorite villains, and they commented with their ranks. A total of 21 users took part. The ranks here are an average of the ranks of everyone that commented. The scoring of the ranks was done by a total point score (combined points to each character from the lists of all of the people that participated)! For example, if somebody had Scar as #1 on their list, then it gets 10 points. If another person has him as #2, he gets 9 points and so on. If Scar is not in ranked in the top 10 on somebody's list, he gets no points.
I asked people that voted to rank their favorite animated females, and they commented with their ranks. A total of 24 users took part. The ranks here are an average of the ranks of everyone that commented. The scoring of the ranks was done by a total point score (combined points to each character from the lists of all of the people that participated)! For example, if somebody had Merida as #1 on their list, then she gets 10 points. If another person has her as #2, she gets 9 points and so on. If Merida is not in ranked in the top 10 on somebody's list, she gets no points.
These have been popping up here, and I thought it would be fun to make one (:
My real name is Annika (ANN-EH-KA) Sorry, I get lots of pronunciations. I'm only 13, but I'll be turnign 14 on Oct. 13th. I live in the United States. I keep my Disney/Animated movie obsession a secret. *sigh* Middle school. Anyways, my IQ is 150 o-o I love math, history, chemistry, and English. I hope to attend Stanford or Princeton. I want to get into animation or maybe prosthetic makeup. I love writing and drawing. I'm super shy, and antisocial, which makes the Internet just the thing for me (; Now it's time for...
I was thinking of this while watching the other day the Nostalgia Critic's review of the Swan Princess, and how critical and overly nitpicky he was in general towards this movie...
And that made me think how almost all non-Disney movies are treated in this way (of course, there are a few notable exceptions as the Studio Ghibli films and the Dreamworks ones), that audiences feel the need that if they are animated movies which aren't Disney, they must be held in an impossibly high standard and they must please every demand of the audience.
Why is that? Why is it that any animated non-Disney movie...
It feels great! I really wan't expecting it all that much. The last time I won fan of the month for a club was on the Disney club easier this year and before that was a few years ago on the Disney Princess club. I guess I'm more active than I thought.
Why do you think the fans chose you?
Probably because a lot of the polls on the club are asked by me but they're usually beauty polls. I think there are others with more original ideas but it still feels great. I guess I must do more than I think I do.
Do you think you deserved to be fan of the month?...
