In 2008, a teen from Ohio was given a chance to experience any basketball fan’s dream-come-true.

Eddie, an exceptional teen with a gentle disposition could most often be found playing video games on his Xbox 360 or watching television. A major basketball fan, Eddie never misses the chance to cheer on his all-time favorite team, the Cleveland Cavaliers! Eddie also enjoys collecting bottle caps and coins and says his favorite music is jazz.

Eddie was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September of 2005. The tumor was located in the 3rd and 4th hemisphere of his brain. Since his diagnosis, Eddie’s doctors have been monitoring him extremely carefully. He has also developed hydrocephalus, which causes fluid to build up around his brain. Doctors performed surgery to drain the fluid.

The tumor has caused Eddie to experience some developmental delays and difficulty with mobility. He must attend frequent physical therapy sessions and must have an MRI every six months. This brave teenager told Kids Wish Network that he would love nothing more than to meet his all-time favorite basketball player – LeBron James of the [then] Cleveland Cavaliers – and...
