Kacey and Kiki panicked as all of the little ones bawled. They tried everything; funny faces, begging, and even crying WITH them. Kacey snapped her fingers as the other 5 wailed. She reached into Joey's bag and pulled out a handful of binkies. She stuck one in every mouth, including Kiki's. Everyone immediatly calmed down.
Kiki took the binky out of her mouth.
"You DO know that's this is only a temporary fix, right?" she asked.
"Duh. Now, if memory serves me correctly, we've got exactly 3 minutes til Joey pulls it out of his mouth and tosses it at the nearest person. Quick, go grab some flashlights and a couple of candles."

"Are we gonna tell scary stories now?" Val asked all excited.
Kacey rolled her eyes as she set up another candle.
"No. We-"
Val collapsed to the floor and threw a tantrum.
"BUT I WANNA TELL SCARY STORIES! I WANNA I WANNA I WANNA I-"
Kacey pulled out the weird looking whistle again. She immediatly shut up.
A loud thunderclap roared through the sky. Mushi clung to Val, Tommy clung to Kacey, and Joey clung to Kiki....and began crying.
"Kaaaaaacccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeey! Make him stop!" Kiki whined.
She took the baby from her whiny teammate.
"Fine. Gimme a few minutes."

Kacey came back into the room with Joey still crying.
"I did EVERYTHING. He's not hungry, he's not sick, he doesn't need to be changed. I even tried singing his favorite lullaby and he won't stop!"
Mushi tried singing "Rainbow Monkeys". Joey cried even louder (yeah, he's DEFINETLY Wally's brother).
Tommy tried singing his made-up theme song. No change.
Val tried singing the lullaby her parents used to sing when she was younger. Joey cried even harder....It didn't help, it actually scared him.
Mushi yelled at Val for making things worse. Tommy yelled at the two of them for yelling. Kacey yelled at the kids for yelling at each other. Joey bawled as loud as he could. Kiki took the baby and began singing one of the songs she was learning in Chorus:
"I heard there was a secret chord,
That David played and it pleased the Lord,
But you don't really care for music, do you?"
Everyone quieted down. Kacey joined in:
"It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift....."
All the others joined in, harmonizing:
"The baffled king composing Hallelujah....
Hallelujah....Hallelujah....Hallelujah....Hallelu-u-u-u-jaaaaaaaaah....".

After the song finished, ALL of the younger ones were asleep (or the verge of falling asleep). Kacey grabbed Mushi and Tommy. Kiki grabbed Val.
"How'd you do that?" Kacey whispered.
Kiki smiled. "Practice."
She dropped Joey off where Kacey put Tommy to bed.
She placed Mushi in Kuki's room. Then dropped Val off in Abby's room. Then went to the living room to watch TV w/ Kacey.
She was on the verge of falling asleep when she heard a voice call her.
It was Val.
"Can you read me a story?" she asked.
Kiki looked at the clock.
"It's 2 in the morning. Go back to-"
Val pouted.
"<sigh> Fine."
Val jumped back into bed and reached for her bag.
"What do want me to read? 'Hop On Pop'? 'The Cat In The Hat'? 'The Rainbow Monkey Halloween Spooktacular'?"
She pulled out a VERY thick book.
"Seriously? 440 pages? You've got to-"
The little vampire whimpered.
"Fine. Chapter 1...."
The next morning, Kiki woke up with the book she was reading covering her face. She was almost given a heart attack when the bed stared moving.
"KIKI! KIKI! KIKI! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" Mushi shouted.
"Why?! What is it?" she gasped.
Mushi grabbed her arm.
"Come ON! You're missing it!"
"Missing WHAT?!"
She dragged her all the way to the living room.
Tommy, Val, Kacey and Joey were all sitting in front of the TV, each with a bowl of cereal, watching "Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!"
"You woke me up for THIS?" Kiki groaned.
Mushi handed Kiki a bowl of Rainbow Munchies.
"I'm in!"

"Hi!" Kiki and Kacey chirped.
"How were they?" Mrs. Gilligan asked.
Kiki looked at the kids and winked.
"No trouble at all."
"Come, childrens!, It's time to go!" Val's dad called.
Everyone pulled the "melted toddler" look.
"I DON'T WANNA!" they all yelled. "WE'RE HAVING FUN!"
Mr. and Mrs. Sanban did a facepalm.
"A few more hours couldn't hurt, could it?" Mrs. Beetles asked.
Kacey and Kiki looked at each other.
"We can manage."
