Grand Valley State University

One of the most distinguished institute of higher education in downtown Holland is the Hope College. It is a private, residential liberal arts college located a few miles away from Lake Michigan. It was established in1851 as the Pioneer school by Dutch immigrants four years after the community first settled. In 1862, the first freshman college class matriculated and four more years later, Hope received its state charter. This college is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America and it boasts of a vibrant Christian Atmosphere.

Holland is a city located in the western area of the Lower Peninsula of the state of Michigan in the United States of America.
