1. His first role was as an intern in Wes Anderson\'s "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou". He\'s counted Anderson among his favorite directors.

2. Spencer Reid\'s leg injury in Season 5 of "Criminal Minds" was written into the show because of Gubler\'s real-life injury — in 2009, he dislocated his knee during a dance-off with "500 Days of Summer" co-stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Geoffrey Arend. He had to have three surgeries and use a cane (which is seen on the show) for about a year.

3. He loves Halloween (as evidenced by his many tweets leading up to the holiday this year...)

4. He\'s directed seven episodes of "Criminal Minds", with an eighth airing in 2015.

5. In October of 2014, he became a certified minister and later officiated the marriage of his best friend Steve Damstra and former "Criminal Minds" co-star Paget Brewster.
