Stephenie Meyer Says She's Not Bella Swan 

The reason she's not Bella is because Bella is more mature than her? That's what she considers defending herself? That's like saying 'oh, I'm not like Jack the ripper, because he's actually much more cuddly than I am.'

She's not defending herself, she's insulting herself. She's basically saying 'yep, I have all the insecurity, weakness, submissivness, lack of logic, snootiness and selfishness but I'm also way less mature too! see, that's different' I almost want to hug Stephanie Meyer. She seems so insecure. Avoiding criticism like it will kill her, letting men run her life, calling herself an even less mature version of Bella Swan. Seriously, I've decided I want to give Stephanie Meyer a hug and a long talk about self esteem.
