Twilight is romance; it already carries sexual tones, and while it refrains from the type of nudity depicted here, you have to keep in mind that Christian is also a VERY small part of the series. She's not being emulated by younger girls in the way that someone of Kristen's position is.

I am, however, tired of PETA using sex to incite 'interest' in animal rights. You rarely see a man doing a risque ad for them; instead they exploit the bodies of women.

As a vegan, and believer in animal welfare, I have no respect for PETA, I really don't. If you need nudity to make a decent point, you have a piss poor advertising team.

I have no problem with nudity and PETA has a long standing tradition of these kinds of ads. I just don't understand the correlation between Twilight and PETA. But it's implied, not explicit so...I think I'll change my vote. Besides, I don't consider it an inappropriate association, just a weird one.

@bby11us, although I'm not fond of PETA in general I understand their campaign. Sex sells. Nudity catches people's attention. Just like this ad has. For good or bad, their ads always get a reaction. And that's what they're looking for.

@fanfly Yeah, unfortunately sex will always be a go-to for pushing companies and products. I understand the appeal, I just wish they'd find a different, unique way of broadcasting themselves.

This ad was not associated with Twilight at all. Christian is allowed to pose nude without it being a Twilight thing. The similarity between this and Twilight posters (The scenery and font) was all PETA's doing. Most likely an attempt to attach itself to something huge in pop culture.
