What does it mean when a guy says "I don't care if you like me"??????????????????

I just don't get it. Ok so my crush guessed that I liked him when my friend asked him if he guessed who was the 2 girls who liked him. (he was smiling when he said my name and said eww to the other girl who was named). but after he said "I don't care if you like me" . i want to know what he meant, does he even like me back a little?

that depend on how he said it.....it could mean that he doesnt mind u liking him and he wont go against that or he doesnt care about you at all or perhaps he wont think about it!...so it's a good thing or a bad thing
