A Strange Way to Fall in Love Chapter Three
I hopped onto a random yacht. I had to run; it was only a matter of time before I got caught. First, I disobeyed by parole officer, second, I am being blackmailed to kidnap some woman, and third, I was going to still a yacht. I am not scared of the law, I know the limits of it. I took a swig of whiskey and then started untying the yacht from the dock. All the sudden I heard the yacht motor being cranked up. It was way to late to jump.
I grabbed the bottle of whiskey and quietly snuck to kitchen. I grabbed a knife and made my way to the captain's chair. There was a woman sitting in the chair. I knew I could take her, she was small. But she did not look like she could be a captain of a boat like this.
"Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life," a familiar voice slurred.
"Lola," I asked surprised.
"What in the word," she said as she turned around while dropping a glass bottle on the floor, "what are you doing here?"
"Running from the law while stealing a yacht," I stated.
"Well, this...big boat, is taken," she said as she looked around confused.
"You are drunk! How much have you had," I asked.
"A whole bottle, I guess," she said as she continued to look around, "well, where'd it go?"
"You dropped it," I laughed.
"Give me yours," she demanded.
"You are weird when you are drunk," I said laughing.
"You would be to if you grew up in my situation," she mumble as we got out of the harbor.
She jumped out the chair, leaving the throttle wide open.
"I am going to go find the stock of alcohol," she said excited.
"Okay, I will play captain for a while," I said smiling.
"No, I am the captain, I stole the boat," Lola growled.
"If it was not for me, you would be pulling the whole dock behind you," I stated.
"Whatever, if the cops come, make this boat go as fast as she can," she demanded.
"Yes ma'am," I said.
Oh this was so much fun!
"Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me," Lola saint at the top of her lungs.
"Stop singing, you sound awful," I demanded.
"Stop complaining out my voice," she demanded, "I have not complained about your face!"
"Hey Lola, we got company," I yelled.
"What kind of company," she asked smiling excitedly.
"The United States Coast Guard," I stated.
"Oh, this is going to be so much fun," she said smiling mischievously, "What a great day!"
"This is going to be a fun chase," I said.
"Why do you say that," Lola tried asked as she popped the cork on a wine bottle.
"Well look around," I said to her, "they got several boats and a helicopter!"
"Ohhh, this is going to be better than I thought," she said, "cheers to a great chase!"
"Cheers," I repeated as I held my whiskey bottle up.
They were gaining on us; but we did not really care. We were having a great time!
"Why did you have on an ankle bracelet," I asked as she sat in the big cooler.
"They have to keep an eye on me," she stated.
"Why," I asked confused.
"Because, they think I am suicidal," she said as she laid inside the cooler, "Watch this!"
Lola quickly shut the cooler lid; you could barley hear her shouting. Besides, she will be fine! She has a bottle of wine with her. I had no idea what she was doing and frankly I did not care.
I notice this that this yacht was gaining ground while the Coast Guard and helicopter where losing ground. They stopped the chase. This was not fun anymore. I was not sure what to do. Lola wanted to run from them; but she's not driving the boat. So technically I was in charge. I pulled the throttle back to neutral. All the sudden the Coast Guard and the helicopter flocked to the boat.
I was looking around at the people on the Coast Guard. And there stood Horatio Caine. For some odd reason I felt like I was going to be in a lot of trouble!
