Cats can be major stinkers. We're not talking about smell, but rather their “catty” behavior towards their humans. Cats believe they are superior to all other living things. Don't you feel that sometimes they are just humoring us humans? Sometimes, their behavior can go to extremes and make us all crazy. Whether it is caterwauling, stalking, pouncing or displaying their dual personalities and schizophrenic tendencies, sometimes coexisting with your cat can be nerve-wracking and almost not worth the trouble. However, with a few basic tips, you can live with your cat peacefully. Ok, peaceful might be a relative term, but you get the idea!

Co-existing tip #1 – Take your cue from your cat. Many times, us humans do not know when to stop petting. Usually your cat will instigate a petting session, but they can only put up with so much petting and become over stimulated. Ocicat
Originated from interbreeding of Abyssinian, Siamese, and American Shorthair, the Ocicat is a completely domestic cat with the look of the wild. The Ocicat got its name because of its resemblance to the Ocelot, a glorious wild cat from Central and South America.

A cat lover looking for something exotic will love having an Ocicat as a housemate. Ocicats are intelligent, outgoing, and dedicated to their human families. They are adaptable to family life and will fetch, walk on a leash, and respond to your voice commands. Because of their sociable nature, Ocicats are not suited for people who are away long periods of time, but are happy in a household with other pets.
Breed Brief:

Body: Medium to large cat with substantial bone and muscle development, and an athletic appearance. The torso is solid, hard and rather long-bodied with depth and fullness.
Coat: Short, smooth, and satiny, in a spotted pattern with distinctive marking on the head, spine, legs and tail. The Oci's coat comes in many colors, including tawny, chocolate, cinnamon, silver, and blue.

The mystery surrounding why cats purr has fascinated pet owners for many years. There is no definitive answer as to why cats purr, but there are a few theories that have been suggested. The effect on humans is usually soothing, but one thing is clear – cats don't always purr because their happy.

The purr of domestic cats is unique, although other felids like bobcats, cheetahs, and pumas also purr. Kittens learn to purr within their first few days of life, even before they open their eyes, and a mother often purrs while delivering her babies. Cats also purr when they are hurting, scared, or close to dying.

We most often associate purring with contentment, but it could be more generally associated as a signal for different things. A mother and her babies purr to communicate their location, since kittens are born blind. Two cats grooming each other may purr to communicate feelings of contentment.

A cat also purrs when nervous, sort of a way of comforting themselves, much like we would sing or hum to ourselves when anxious. These communication signals even translate to humans – the mutual contentment between cat and owner while petting a...
