Dair in Breakfast at Tiffany's
I see this board is dead, which is really sad. Didn't mean to rime their budddies.

Recently I've become again more and more obsessed with Dan and Blair, which is a sign that I just want to procrastinate instead of study for exams, but it still is, unhealthy as it sounds, a real concern my brain cannot get rid of. When I don't like an ending I make up one of my own to satisfy the crazy urges of my mind, and I have made up such an ending to fulfill my Dair ship, but before that, I wanted to post about something, I don't know how many others have discussed before, if any, that is Breakfast at Tiffanny's.

That's Blair's favorite movie out of every other movie and she sees herself as Holly, played by Audrey Hepburn. I can't help but think that the story is so in line with her story with Dan, and at least one of the writers who shipped the two must have thought about it.

Holly has an ex husband Doc who is in denial about the end of their relationship (reminds me of Chuck), and she also wants to marry either a rich Brazilian or a rich American (Blair wanted to marry the Prince of Monaco and before that Marcus who was an English lord). But the main...

I’m not kidding. I am dead.

This must be how David felt after the dentist. It feels too freaking good to be real. I remember watching previous seasons of the show with wistful sighs whenever Dan and Blair interacted, because I truly thought they didn’t have a chance. The Chair fanbase was too vocal for the writers to take a risk like that, right? Well, I’ve never been so glad to be wrong in my life. Tonight’s episode more than made up for all those times I felt I was hoping for the impossible.

Let’s start with the beginning scene - waffles were mentioned. There were two very satisfied smirks. I squealed. ‘Nuff said.

Next we have Blair’s confrontation with Chuck (so many confrontations between those two). First of all, I love that she was very clear with Chuck from the beginning about the fact that she didn’t want to play games. That’s a huge deal, considering the entire foundation of their relationship was built on those games. It proved not only that Blair is growing up, but that she’s outgrown Chuck. The one thing they truly had in common is gone. Secondly, did anyone else’s heart skip a beat when Chuck called...

I'll admit it: I was a staunch supporter of Chair since Season One. By early Season 3, such was my conviction that they belonged together, I wanted them to get married. But by 3x18, my love for Chair received a crushing blow, and never recovered. In the midst of my spell of mourning for them, I realised Blair had never really had a relationship with a guy which had not been characterised by drama, betrayal and heartbreak. She'd never had a 'normal' relationship with someone when she was truly happy. I'd spent all this time believing she belonged with Chuck, but what did Blair Waldorf look like without him? What if she wasn't in love with Chuck? Would she actually be...you know, happier? I decided that what Blair needed most was to be Chuck-free for a while. She needed to figure out who SHE was. No more angst, no more game-playing, no more betrayal, no more tears. I tried to imagine a relationship in which Blair could just be herself, and be happy, but it was hard at first. All I could see were images of her and Chuck. As much as they may have loved each other, I knew they weren't right together. I suddenly realised that Blair needed a guy who was the OPPOSITE OF...

Some might say that Rufus and Lily mirror Dan and Serena's relationship, when they really mirror Dan and Blair's relationship.

1. Bass-Lily-Humphrey
At first, Lily was with Bart, they were even married. However, Rufus didn't do anything about it, he just kept silent and waited for Lily. Then they had their time.

2. Art
Rufus got famous in his time because of the songs he wrote for Lily. Dan got famous because of his novel, Inside, that was somehow for Blair.

3. Secrecy
Dan: You ever hung out with someone, but not be able to tell anyone?
Rufus: You mean uh, “hang out, hang out” or you know “hang out, hang out”?
Dan: God, this was a bad idea.
Rufus: What? That was vague. Well for what it’s worth when Lily and I began hanging out again, neither of us wanted anyone to know. But friendship can be an excuse or a cover when there’s something you don’t want to admit or you’re to scared to explore.

4. Other Stuff (link)

I'd like to posit a plot line for season 5...

****SPOILER ALERT****
If you have not seen the Bones Season 6 finale STOP READING NOW!!!

So if you've seen the Bones Season 6 finale, you know that the creators left us with a huge cliffhanger....Bones is pregnant and Booth is the father! Yay! However, we never saw the sex scene! Here's what I'm thinking...Blair and Dan didn't just kiss that night! They slept together as well but we didn't see it! Let's assume Blair's pregnant (coz Serena hasn't had a love interest for months)! Using Bones as a reference, we can then assume that Dan's possibly the father!!!!!

Just a thought I had that I wanted to put out there...

I admit, that in the very beginning of Gossip Girl, from seasons 1-3, I shipped Chuck/Blair. I thought that they were the true love story of the show, especially in the first couple of seasons. But then as time progressed on the show, I realized how wrong I was. I have come to the mere conclusion that Chuck/Blair is a highly toxic relationship and is one that should not continue under any circumstances. The idea that the own Gossip Girl producer has the guts to label Chuck/Blair as a "love story" when Chuck has done nothing but treat Blair like shit is beyond. To me, it is seriously appalling. I knowGossip Girl is normally highly experimental with their pairing of characters romantically, but to sell a relationship which absolutely abusive and toxic on all levels and call it a love story is beyond sickening. Because of the over-promotion of Chair, the show has turned me off drastically. I like to watch this show for the many different dynamics as well as all the characters and the interactions between the characters. It's exciting to me, and the show is never short of drama. But because of the over-exposure of an abusive couple being represented as the main love story of the show,...

First of all I need to get one thing out of my chest:

Gossip Girl SUCKS the big one!!

And now I can start.....

CHUCKLES GOT MATURED. IN ONE EPISODE.

Apparently, Chuck went from beast to prince in no time! Can you believe it? Ridiculous is the word. You can't have your hero being portrayed as the typical guy/abuser in one episode with the media using his behavior as an example to warn the women out there to avoid these type of relationships(Zap2it) and then the next day to present him as the ultimate nice guy who's willing to let go of his love cause he puts her own happiness as a priority!
You have created a paradox over there! And I'm not bying it.

And the worst thing is that the woman/victim not only doesn't blame him for anything, but she also needs a lot of power to forget him!

CHAIR IN CHAIRS.

OMG!!What was that? We saw a C/B scene with no purpose at all, with the two of them going in a random Bar Mitzvah, just for Josh Safran and the others to fulfill their fantasy of seeing the Chair in Chairs! WRONG TIMING PPL!! It made no sense and it was just too painful to...

1. "Inside" (aka: The writers love to re-write history.)

a) "Dan isn't over Blair at all. His secret that Vanessa finds out is that he wrote a book called "Inside" Vanessa reads it and I think Dan says he's been working on it for about five years. So that's the reason he wanted to be caught up in UES. He doesn't want it published anymore, cares about all of these people...but Vanessa gives it to a publisher at the very end...and says shes going to Barcelona."

b) "It's true that Dan has been writing a book about the upper east side. But now that he knows these people that has now become his friends and family, he doesn't want to publish it anymore. Vanessa finds the book when she goes to the loft to look for Charlie and she reads it. She calls Dan and lets him know how good it is and that he should publish it and not let his feelings for the others stop him. She also says that not everyone would be mad at him for writing this book because "a certain someone might like how she is painted in the book" and she's not talking about Serena (Blair). But Dan is upset because he is sure that if anyone reads the book, it will for sure make him the ultimate...

I just noticed that these two couples have a lot in common. Is Dan/Blair the Seth/Summer 2.0?

1. Same creator
The O.C. and Gossip Girl was both created by Josh Schwartz.

2. Similar toys
Seth/Summer sure didn't have dolls, but they do have plastic toy horses. If only Dan knew about Blair's cabbage patch.

Blair: Oh, is that Cedric?
Dan: This day just got worse.
---
Seth: Who is this?
Summer: No one.
Seth: I'm not no one.
Summer: Princess Sparkle, what do you want?

3. Witty Banters
Yeah, these couples surely have a lot in the list. But this one makes it more parallel:

On Seth/Summer's roadtrip, Seth was driving and Summer was beside him just like Dan and Blair was. They even bickered about same concepts. Coincidence?

Blair: Is the pedal to the metal? Because I swear if I shove my feet through the floor I could run faster. At least there's no radio so I'm spared your horrid taste in music. I think we were supposed to turn there.

WTF are the writers thinking?

We want to see a DAIR kiss not a DARLIE kiss, which was not even fully shown yet. And it was freeze framed, really? I believe that it was purposely done for the viewers to interpret the kiss and what happened after that. Nothing much were said about their reactions. I think there is something the writers are trying to hide from us. They haven't even showed their kiss in Petty in Pink. Srsly, making out on a cellphone screen? In the promos for the last 5 episodes, it wasn't exactly like that. It wasn't freeze-framed or on a cellphone. The kiss isn't forbidden or that horrible for the writers not to show us. So, why?

And what was Dan thinking?! Falling for this psychobitch. He's over Blair already? :( But I think not. This concept falls perfectly into the falling for someone who wants you instead for someone you want who doesn't want you back.

And the possible almostcousinsex some assume that Dan will not push through with. It could be triggered by Blair's engagement and could be ended by his feelings for Blair as well. But will it really not push through?

Okay so the whole promo is about Blair right ?! So why the will put charlie in the promo ?! and charlie's hair isn't like the one in the promo right but it looks like Blair's

but they kinda look alike in their faces from the side

we are sure that it is Dan but is it charlie or Blair see and judge

- not the same hair
- same face as Blair's
- but Blair isn't fat

and i kinda hope its Blair because it cant be charlie cuz she is still new and there is like 3 episodes left show how can they make 2 have sex so fast and Blair knows Dan for a long time and she has feeling for him but she won't admit it and besides if he slept with charlie then he doesn't have feeling for Blair and the producers said that Dan and Blair isn't over and it took them 4 season for making so of course they wont end it so easily

So i was reading posts on tumblr when i came through one that wrote his/her opinion about the finale, here is what they wrote:

"Okay….on the train ride home today…I had this terrible thought.

We know Jack is coming back to mess with Chuck. What if he finds out that Blair is engaged to the Prince and he comes back to threaten Chuck-telling him that if he doesn’t hand over the Bass Industries, he’ll leak the “contract” that was drawn up during the whole exchanging Blair for a hotel thing. AND THEN…Chuck (because he’s being REDEEMED here) turns over BI so that Blair’s reputation is not tarnished and she can marry her prince."

Ok so their words not mine (taken from tumblr). So what do u guys think? Personally, the more i think about it the more i think its going to happen. I mean the only way that they are ever going to redeem Chuck is if he begins to put blair above all else. But i just dont know where that will leave Dan in Blair's life and Dair in general...just friends? lovers in denial? or a real couple?

So the time finally came and we got to see the episode we've been waiting for, for over a month!

We all wanted the episode to start with the Dair kissing moment, but instead we saw two things:

Blair in her bed, unwilling to start her day and Dan checking his phone for a message by her..Later in the episode we learn that it's been a week and these two haven't meet or talk to each other!

On the surface Blair seems to be avoiding Dan because she doesn't care for him and that can be further reinforced by her line that the kiss meant nothing.

But this is only on the surface! If we really think of the events, things can be interpreted in a different way:
The kiss was a life-changing experience for her, not because she supposelly realized that she wants to be with Chuck, but because she felt so many things that she didn't expect. It's exactly the opposite: she realized that it's not just Chuck who can rock her world, it's also Dan Humphrey and that is really scary for her. It changes everything she had in mind so far.

"It was actually the most fun I had had on the show in a while," Penn dished about his latest on-screen romance. "It was something new for my character, and I was having fun with the rapport, and I think my dialogue benefited from it. It was actually a lot of fun to work with Leighton. I hadn’t much. We were like the only two who had never really interacted."

Well it seems they've quickly gone from 0 to 60 in the interacting department, and Penn admitted he's not complaining. "It was great We all get along pretty impeccably, even after four years," he shared. "I mean there are ups and downs, as there are in anything. It's great. I've actually really enjoyed working with her."

With Dan and Blair busy being Dair, what does that mean for his past ladies, like Serena and Vanessa? Well, he says, you'll never believe what happens next. "I don’t know how much I can give away," he teased. "It doesn’t end the way you think it does. I can't say much."

P.S: The use of all the past-tenses are making me go uh-oh.. They'd better carry over DAir to Season 5

From Zap2it:

They did it... they dared to Dair

So let's finally discuss what everyone is talking about: The Kiss. We have a general tendency to not "ship" any couples on TV, but those crazy kids Dan and Blair seemed to have slipped through our top-notch security system. Granted, it's made of Diet Coke cans and trays from Whole Foods, but still.

What girl doesn't dream about a cute boy showing up at her house late at night (after seeing her all throughout the day) because he couldn't get her off his mind? "I've been walking around the city all night with one all-consuming paralyzing thought," Dan says. "What if my dad and Dorota were right and what if there's another reason we're keeping us a secret?"

When she tells him he needs to go back to Brooklyn, he says he can't until he knows for sure that they were wrong. "Just one kiss and then we can know without a doubt." Can you imagine Season 1 Blair's response to this? It would probably involve any or all of the following: Lysol wipes, a lobotomy, a tetanus shot, a vomit bag.

PW: And, lastly, I must talk to you about one of my favorite things happening on TV right now — Dan & Blair. Thoughts?
Leighton: There are a lot of surprises there — some good, some not so good. They are two characters who haven’t had much of a chance to interact, and thus Penn [Badgley] and I haven’t. Before our scenes were mostly just been me dictating to him, now we get conversational scenes, which are great. I love working with and off him, and I’m just as curious as you are to see where that friendship goes. For me, he brings out a different side of Blair. One that we haven’t seen before since he doesn’t care what she thinks.

PW: Now, I love them together, but don’t want them to be together in a romantic way. How do you feel about a possible romance there?
Leighton: I like Chuck and Blair [laughs]. But I have no control over how they write her. Plus, I always love what the writers do — I know they’ll do her justice. Like the storyline with Prince Louis. I really enjoyed that because I always think Blair should be with a Prince. Although that might just be me projecting for myself [laughs].

There are three big reasons why I think a Dan/Blair pairing is possible.

1. Writers
Much like Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl appears to be a show that likes to test out every possible combination. Things cannot possibly continue how they are going now.
Rumor has it things could maybe get shaken up between Chuck and Blair later in the season (I won't say anything specific, no spoilers here). I think Dan and Blair have a lot of potential for becoming close until that point.

2. Love and Hate
People say they hate each other too much to be together. But love and hate are fueled by the same fire. Both are strong and somewhat obsessive emotions concentrated on another person. They both pleasantly surprise each other very often on the show. The hate covers up the fact that if they would put down their swords, they could actually be amazing friends/lovers.

3. Vanessa Plot
The Vanessa plot is ridiculous. In real life, no one suddenly turns around and loves someone or "sees them clearly for the first time." As someone who has dated the best friend, I can assure you that the spark that made you friends in the first place dies after...

Here is a little something i've been working on for the past two days, hope you enjoy some is from what i heard but the actual play is made up by me so i hope you enjoy

Blair couldn't believe she would have to be working with someone who is beneath her, she had no idea that he would even be considering a part but his name was in black and white ink right in front of her. She would have prefer another round with his sister but she had to change her after school activities because Yale wouldn't accept a girl who schemes behind peoples backs, but did she really have to see Dan Humphrey or even be seen with him. She thought she saw the last of him before break because Serena had told her about there little talk and she chose Aaron her now step brother. But here it states on this piece of paper that Dan had got the part of Philip who was of course the love interest of Kathryn who Blair had received the part. What else could happen.

Dan: " Hey Blair, looks like we get to work together."

Dan/Blair story
CHAPTER 1

She wanted to escape her troubles he wanted to escape the upper east side but can one incident unite these two to stay and actually graduate.

Blair has always wondered if the reason why Chuck left her to herself was a sign or someone telling her something. She needed to get away, and she did even though she had regretted being alone, the trip did some good by allowing her to see what had drawn her to Chuck and why she had allowed herself to be in a relationship where he had doubted himself. What she really wanted was a relationship like Dan and Serena. Because behind all of the lies Serena had told Dan, he had really fallen for the gorgeous blond. Blair fell sorry for Dan because he probably did nothing this summer or did everything. Little did she know that Dan was thinking the same thing but through his eyes.

Dan knew the summer was going to be long but with his internship and senior year coming soon he could allow himself to get taken away by every girl who ever walked by him. He had it bad though pinning for a love that was set on lies and then to second guess whether or not he made the right decision. Today...

(CBS) Leighton Meester is the star of a TV drama about gossip, but in real life she says she doesn't pay much attention to what other people have to say about her.

"I don't (deal with gossip)," Meester tells Teen magazine. "This comes from maturing and growing up, but I've learned to let things roll off my back. If people say negative things, I could care less. But I let it give me a boost of confidence if they're saying nice things. If the press says anything, I see it as a plus because at least people are paying attention and watching the show."

The star of the new hit series "Gossip Girl," appears on the cover of the spring 2008 issue of Teen and is featured in a five page 1980s inspired fashion spread.

Meester discusses her character, life on set and off, and puts in her two cents on her suspicions of the identity of "Gossip Girl." The hit series is narrated by an unseen character, voiced by Kristen Bell, who uses an online blog to gossip about a group of friends at a New York City private school and create drama in their idyllic Upper East Side lives.

The girls of Gossip Girl aren't the only ones making waves in the fashion circuit as the boys of The CW teen drama are now spearheading Out magazine's March fashion issue. Featured on the publication's upcoming issue are Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Ed Westwick, who all engaged in a "roughhousing" photo shoot, according to the magazine.

Gossip Girl, the television series that revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York's Upper East Side who attend elite academic institutions while dealing with sex, drugs, and other teenage issues, has gradually increased its fan base, consisting of men, women and gays, over a short span of time.

Inside the magazine, subscribers can see several poses of the boys, as well as their insight on targeting a different audience for the series.

"I don't think network TV really has the balls to make one of their [teenage] series' regulars gay. Let's say the show builds up to become a big hit, then I think they'd maybe explore it in year three or four. It would be an interesting thing to do. It could bring in a whole different demographic," Badgley told the popular gay...

Leighton Meester, aka Gossip Girl’s queen bee Blair Waldorf, talked backstage with Just Jared at the Sunsilk’s “Life Can’t Wait” event yesterday in NYC’s Times Square.

The 21-year-old actress/aspiring singer talked about how she spent her Valentine’s Day, how she got the nickname “Happy Feet” and the kinds of tracks she’s laying down in the studio. Here’s how the interview went down:

How did you spend your Valentine’s Day? I was in Toronto and spent the day there. I got a couples massage with my castmate Nicole Fiscella. We went back to L.A., a friend of mine came over and we watched a movie together.

Since you’ve lived in NYC for 10 years already, where do you love to frequent for food and shopping? I live in the West Village, so I love all of the local restaurants–The Spotted Pig, Sant Ambroeus. As for shopping, I love the boutiques on the Lower East Side but I still love to spend my money at Barneys and Macy’s.

Are your friends from New York? Hollywood? Elementary school? I have one friend that I’ve had since I was 11. Other than that, my friends are from the past few years. I don’t really keep...
