Daniel "Danny" Alan David Jones, born 12 March 1986 in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England, is one of the lead vocalists and guitarists in the British pop band McFly, alongside fellow band members Dougie Poynter, Tom Fletcher, and Harry Judd. Danny met Tom Fletcher when he auditioned for the boy band V. Whom he had mistaken as being a more rock-ish band. Tom, who was filming the auditions for Island Records, later approached Danny. The two conversed and found they had common interests and so Tom invited to write with him and James Bourne. When writing projects for Busted had ended, the two began writing for their own band, eventually moving, temporarily, into the InterContinental Hotel, in London. Danny has won awards for McFly like, "Smash Hits Awards-Most Fanciable Male" and "Smash Hits Awards-Most Snoggable Male". Jones has co-written all four of McFly's studio albums along with his fellow band members. He also penned three of his own, solo, tracks, on the first three McFly albums. Danny also often takes the role of lead guitarist in most performances, with Tom acting as rhythm guitar, and can be seen performing solos in songs such as That Girl, I Wanna Hold You, Everybody...
