Rules of the Death Note

2. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the person’s face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.

3. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the person’s name, it will happen.

Some Interesting Commentary : A Character Like No Other, L!

No matter where you look, or what you see, I’m almost sure you will not find another character like L. He is one of a kind, and throughout all of Death Note the perfect reference point against Kira. L is the type of person who isn’t afraid to show what he is, though he does not show WHO he is. He constantly speaks his mind, and many times I believe that L is L inside and out.
