What exactly is depression? Is it when you stab your arm, just to feel? Is it a broken heart, a sense of feeling but nothing?
Depression is walking slow, afraid.
Depression are the cuts and scars on your body, haunting every little piece of you that's about to crumble.
Depression is a loss, a death of what you were, who you are now.
Depression is a disorder, depression is anything but normal.
Depression is a child screaming for help as a parent holds it's neck.
Depression is a teenager trying to fit in their new school, just trying to make a friend.
Depression is an adult, hunting for that job they've always wanted.
Depression can happen to anyone and anything, even if others may doubt.
But what if you could
Put down the razor for a second...
Eat whatever you wish....
Ignore bullies, abuse...
Seek the help you need...
Instead of thinking suicide.
We have been there,
We won't collapse yet.
We are stronger then that.
So, young children, let it be a lesson to you.
Do not cower in fear, ask what you wish for.
Do not lose your faith, your dreams,
One day it will make sense.
So, as they say,
You will make it through.
I have experienced depression.
I now understand what's real and true.
I will never say goodbye,
I understand ones will miss me if I go,
So shall I stay.
I have experienced depression...
