I listened as Lucia talked about her daughter for what felt like forever. Sure I guess I should have been happy that she wasn't killing me but seriously if it was possible to die from boredom then I would have dropped dead right then. I was pretty sure that if they did end up killing me, hearing her talk about her life before she was awakened would be even more painful. No offense to her or anything, she was actually nice for an undead, evil vampire.
It seemed like hours had gone by. Strigoi came in and out with things for the room. Now I had a bed and a lot of blankets. Maybe they were going to suffocate me with them...
Soon enough she finally stopped talking and she left the room, taking the guards with her. They were just going to be outside but she wanted me to at least have some privacy so I could get changed and sleep. She was really strange. Still as soon as everyone was out of the room I got changed into the clean clothes - luckily they fit me perfectly and I climbed into bed. The blankets wrapped around me and it was really warm.
I was asleep almost instantly - probably worn out from Lucia telling me her whole life story.
I was greeted by Adrian who was looking concerned. As soon as he saw me I watched the relief spread across his face.
"Little dhampir. I was starting to think you weren't going to show up."
"and why wouldn't I show up? " I smiled, "Have you found were I am yet?"
He shook his head "No. Not yet. Do you know where you are?" He questioned.
Smiling I answered "I'm in a room. It has four walls, a roof, a door and a bed...other than that I have no idea."
"Well that narrows it down too...every building thats ever been made." He grinned "Oh, Dimitri wanted to know if you knew the name of the leader there.."
"Oh yeah. She doesn't shut-up. I think i'm going to die of boredom soon. Her name's Lucia." I replied. I probably know her better than she knew herself.
Adrian looked sad, like he was going to burst out crying any second. "What's wrong?" I questioned as I gently placed my hands on either side of his face, trying to get him to look at me.
Finally he sighed and met my eyes "It kills me not knowing where you are..." wrapping his arms around my waist he continued "...and to top it off your with a bunch of Strigoi. I think i'm more afraid then you are! Your not even acting like your scared. All i can think about is 'what if they hurt you'...?"
"Well don't worry about me. They don't even act like Strigoi - seriously the 'leader' Lucia literally told me her life story today. Every gruelling detail, i thought i'd die of boredom." I groaned.
That made Adrian smile "Well Little dhampir, we'll try and get you out as soon as we can...Just hold on a little longer."
I looked up at Adrian. His eyes looked amazing today! Possibly the greenest that i'd ever seen them. Before I knew what I was doing I was pulling him into a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me until our lips met. I liked Adrian, maybe I even loved him. It was certainly possible. He was such an amazing person and I could tell how much he loved me just by looking into his eyes. Sure I still loved Dimitri. He was my first love but Adrian...he was something different entirely. I could seriously see myself with him.
"Rose Hathaway, I will die without you." He grinned when the kiss ended "We better find you soon."
All I could do was smile, thinking of Adrian always seemed to bring a smile to my face. "You better find me soon." I agreed "I miss you!"
"What? Little dhampir...are you finally confessing that you like me?" He questioned with a huge grin across his face, I could tell he was anxious for the answer.
"Hm, I think I am..." I laughed as I leaned in and kissed him one more time.
Slowly the dream faded away and I was left by myself in a room. I wanted to see Adrian again. I wanted to get out of here and see all my friends. I hated being all alone.
Suddenly I was pulled into Lissa's head. She was exited, extremely exited. I checked her mind to see what she was so happy about. Apparently Dimitri had thought of a way to get me out. It was about time. I hoped that it would be sooner rather than later, I really needed to get out. I wanted to see Lissa, Christian and Adrian again...and even Dimitri. Sure we were obviously going to have to talk about a few things when they finally got me out of here but now I really didn't mind. I could face him now.
Other than Lissa being exited she was also worried about me, Christian and Dimitri. I was actually worried about them too. Lucia had seemed pretty content on her decision. She had said that Dimitri had to die. I just hoped they wouldn't die trying to save me. I didn't need saving... - Okay...well technically I did need saving now, but I don't think that I could live with the guilt if two people I cared about died trying to get me back from a group of Strigoi.
Before I had decided to pop into Lissa's head Adrian had told Dimitri about Lucia and he immediatly said he had a pretty good idea where I was. They also came up with a plan to get me back and he and Christian had left right away. It was only Lissa and Adrian in the hotel room now. Unfortunatly I popped in a little too late and I had no idea what the hell they were planning.
Adrian stared at Lissa, he still seemed to be shocked by the plan "Do you really think that is going to work?"
"I have no idea." Lissa admitted "but it's the best thing we could come up with."
He nodded "Yeah but still, I have a bad idea about this."
Lissa nodded in agreement "But you did say that Rose thought these guys were pretty stupid so it might just work."
After a minute Adrian finally spoke "I hope so."
A few loud bang and screams pulled me from Lissa's head. Apparently Dimitri and Christian were already in the building.
My door flew open and Lucia barged in. She had a paniced look in her eyes "He's here. He's still one of us." she muttered as she frantically paced the room. She was starting to freak me out. I had never seen a Strigoi afraid of anything.
"Lucia? What's wrong?" I questioned as the door flew open once again.
I gasped. Now I understood what she was talking about. Dimitri was here...and he was one of them.
His skin was pale white and his eyes...they were red.
I stared at him in shock. This couldn't be happening, not again, not to Dimitri.
It was like one of my nightmare's had come true. The Dimitri I knew and loved was once again...
