“This kiss,” Pocahontas thought. “It’s nothing like the kiss of John Smith. He kissed me with such passion and love.”

PART 4

Pocahontas slowly made her way to John. When she finally reached his side, he put his arms around her and gave her a hug. She sighed because for once, in a long time she liked hugging John, only because her imagination let her think it was John Smith.
“I can see that you’re worrying about something.” John finally spoke.
    “That is true.” Pocahontas agreed.
“Let’s go for a walk.” John said.
He wanted to get away. Maybe if they were alone, she would be willing to open up to him again. It had been so long since they had made a real connection. Pocahontas tried to stay as far from John as she could without making it obvious that she wanted to get away from him. John reached for her hand, but she pulled away.
“Pocahontas,” John started. “I know we’ve been having problems, but we just need to work on them. We love each other.”
“Yes,” Pocahontas awkwardly smiled. “I love you John.”
In that moment that she spoke those four words, she realized that she was saying it to the wrong John. She wanted to speak those four words to John Smith more than anyone else. John was satisfied though. He believed Pocahontas and kissed her.
“This kiss,” Pocahontas thought. “It’s nothing like the kiss of John Smith. He kissed me with such passion and love.”
She pulled away from John and smiled. He truly believed that they were in love with each other, but he was only half right.
“I need to be alone,” Pocahontas said.
She walked away from John and when he called her back, she began to run. She ran far from him, not knowing where she was going, but she was getting away. She stopped running when she was far enough away. Once again she heard the pitter patter of footsteps. Coming from the distance were Meeko and Flit.
Pocahontas smiled at her friends than Meeko did something he had done before. In his hand was a compass, and he handed it to Pocahontas.
“You still have this?” Pocahontas smiled. “It’s John’s compass.”
Looking at the compass, she knew at once what her heart and what Meeko was telling her to do.
“I have to find him.” She realized. “Tomorrow.”

Belle yelled in surprise as Phillipe bolted, causing her to go flying through the air and land unceremoniously on her back. She lay there, winded, trying to catch her breath.

She was about to call for Phillipe when she realised he had turned around and cantered away immediately after throwing her off. She didn't know what had provoked such erratic behavior. She usually wasn't the one to ride him, but he was as friendly to her as to her father. He had always been a well-mannered horse. For him to behave in this manner showed there was something very wrong going on. Her father was in trouble.

She...

This one is over a month late but I have reasons! 1. I kept forgetting 2. I had some personal stuff going on and I had personal reasons to not want to watch this movie for a while after watching the first one. But this movie and Ariel's Beginning are way overdue at the library so it's now or never and get even more fines.

Today's rewatch: The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea
Last time watched: 2015

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
Since I loved The Little Mermaid when I was little, of course I was really excited to watch Return to the Sea and when I finally did watch it I might not have...

Something I've often said in the past is one of the scariest type of villain is one that could exist in real life like Frollo, Bellweather, Lady Tremaine, and Mother Gothel. Gaston is definitely a villain that deserves to be on this list.

Some people will say he's too silly to be a scary villain or just isn't scary enough until the climax of the movie. But some people who have had to deal with their own Gastons in life will say differently.

First off, it's made pretty clear from the beginning that Gaston is a bully who has most likely never been told "no" and therefore can never take it for...

Okay I have this movie on blu-ray and dvd so I don't even have an excuse for being late on putting this article up except maybe this; I don't like this movie as much as I used to...

Tonight's rewatch: Beauty and the Beast 2017 remake
Last time watched: 2017

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
I watched this movie as an adult but I still like to think I'm a kid at heart. So if you've read my article for Beauty and the Beast, you know I have a huge love for Beauty and the Beast, for nostalgia reasons and because I just love the movie. So when I watched the trailer for this movie I felt so much...

So I'm going to be really honest with you. After watching Pocahontas 2 and Mulan 2 I really really really really don't want to watch this movie. That's why it took me so long to watch it and write this article and the reason I'm only just now doing it is because I borrowed this movie from the library almost 2 weeks ago and I have to return it tomorrow.

Tonight's rewatch: Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
Last time watched: 2000-2006

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
When I was little I loved this movie. Every year I used to pop this movie into the vcr (remember those?) and watch...

I shall begin this article unconventionally, by speaking of something personal. This year has been very rough for me in a lot of ways. The roughness has impacted every single sphere of my life, from my finances, to my job, to my love life (which remains laughable), and to my very health. I have been really sick. I relate to the Aladdin of the 1992 film, even more so now, than when I first shook his hand in 1992. I relate to being constantly dirt poor, scared out of my mind, living day to day on the edge of the precipice, and skirting by through just the slimmest of margins. Every day is starting...

Tonight's rewatch: Both Frozen shorts
Last time watched: 2018

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
Like Frozen, these shorts came out in my 20s so I wasn't a kid but like I said before, I'm a kid at heart! I was hesitant to watch both shorts because I kept hearing a lot of Frozen haters call these shorts cash cows and said the holiday special was boring. I hardly heard anything positive about both shorts. I watched Frozen Fever about a week or two after it premiered and I loved it and I finally watched Olaf's Frozen Adventure around christmas time last year and, again, loved it!

Why I love...

I Know Why the Princess Sings
I Know Why the Princess Sings
Just as Cinderella graciously bids good morning with such romantic fervor, Snow White sends well wishes that are not unlike the dreams of love and hope Aurora has sung of before. While Belle muses of the great wide beyond her poor provincial place and Jasmine bemoans her gilded palace cage, the restless twain are armed with the familiar faith Tiana holds to as she prays her labors and pains will bear fruit someday. Facing profound confliction, Mulan ponders upon her contrasting reflection just as Pocahontas meditates on which path is true to imitate. Sure as light, Elena's valor takes flight...
