There are 10 Disney Princes so far, and they are a unique group. Some barely have a personality, others are really full of themselves, insecure, and some are really cool. This is my list of my favorite Disney Prince
10. Ferdinand
Snow White's prince is in last place because despite him being the first hero and prince, he's practically only a plot device. His only purpose in the movie is for Snow White to fall in love with him, so he can break the curse. He is in maximum 5 minutes of an hour and twenty minute movie (I've counted), so we do not get to see his character, and he appears the least out of all of the other princes in their perspective movies. I know this movie was from the 1930s and was called "Disney's Folly" and they were focusing on the story, but wasn't there such thing called 2-dimensional characters, and character development. He legit only says "I didn't mean to frighten you" and sings a minute and a half song. He appears the least out of all of the princes, and is easily the most forgotten and unpopular prince.
9. Charming
The only reason that he is higher than Prince Ferdinand is that he appears in his movie a tiny bit more than his predecessor and shows a tiny bit more personality than Ferdinand does. When we are first introduced to him, he is annoyed that none of the girls he met appeals to him, and even yawns in their faces (aren't princes taught etiquette and manners?) Then, he sees Cinderella and struts over to her because she is beautiful, and dances with her for the entire night. I think he only has one or two lines in his movie, and they focus on how his father wants him to find a wife and so he could get grandchildren, not show Prince Charming's opinion on the matter at all. I'm positive that eh does want to find his true love, but the audience does not get to see his point of view. He also suffers from being just a plot device, as his only purpose is for Cinderella to fall in love with him and to marry her, so she can leave her step family and to have her happily ever after.
8. Phillip
Unlike Prince Charming and Ferdinand, Phillip actually does something, and has more than one line... alright, he only speaks in two scenes (the forest scene, and st the gates with his father), but it is an improvement. He does not want to be in an arranged marriage, because he wants to find his true love. He is very persuasive and charming, as he convinces his father to let him marry the peasant girl he met. He is also the first prince to be a part of the climax, to defeat the villain, and to save the girl, but that is where all of his goo points end. Like Aurora he had to count on the 3 fairies to escape form the dungeons, to escape through the thorns, and to kill Maleficent, so he is kind of dependent as well. He is also very dull, but not as dull as his predecessors and his lover, and appears in his perspective movie longer than them as well, even though he only talks in half of his appearances. He is the most interesting Classic Prince, but is the third worst prince in the bunch.
7. John
Now here was where the placings started to get tough. Him, Adam, and Shang were very difficult to place, but I finally decided to give John the #7. He is an adventurer who obviously likes to go on adventures. He finds the lands fascinating and goes overseas to all of these adventures fro the thrill of going to unknown lands, ans he also mentions that he never really belonged anywhere, which is why he goes from place to place, but they don't touch up on that much. I think if they did, a lot more people would like him. He is also very passionate about his beliefs, but that can Internationale turn into ignorance and arrogance, as he accidentally insults Pocahontas' people. He is also passionate about doing the right thing and after he realizes what him and the settlers are doing are wrong, he does everything eh can to stop the war. He can be very ignorant at times to anyone else's opinion and views other people that are not like him to be lower than he is, which comes from his pride. He doesn't have too many flaws, but it is understandable why people call him boring, and he is the most uninteresting out of the Renaissance and the Modern Princes.
6. Adam
Even though he is selfish and vain, you can tell right from the get go that he is insecure and has a conscience. When he drags Maurice away from Belle, he has a look of sorrow and regret for like a second, so he fells somewhat sorry for putting her in that position. He also does this when he forbids her to eat and after he yells at her in the West Wing, but again, it's only for a few seconds. A lot of people say they do not like him when he falls in love with Belle because he becomes too soft, but I guess that is what the movie is about. I kind of agree with those people because it is so sudden, and he loses his backbone, but it doesn't bother me a lot. His anger explodes so much so quickly, and there is no way he could have controlled his anger in the moth or two month duration of the film, and he would have hit Belle in the West Wing if she hadn't dodged it. there is a high chance he would return to his abusive and selfish ways after the "happily ever after".
5. Shang
The reason why he is above Adam and John is that his flaws don't have as much of a chance to cause chaos than the other two. He is very different from the other princes; eh is reserved, serious, socially awkward, and rational. He wants everything to be well thought out, so nothing can go wrong, he is short-tempered but his anger never escalates to the level that Adam's does. A lot of people have complained that he is too serious and is a stick in the mud, but if you had to train a group of untrained and inexperienced soldiers in a limited amount of time, and then go off to war, wouldn't you? His father also gets killed in the middle of the movie, and decides not to grieve since he has to think of his soldiers and to defeat the Huns at the moment. He is an all around good guy who can use a break from time to time, but he wants to do the right thing. He's stuck at #5 because the other four have a bit more character to them.
4. Flynn
Flynn Rider is arguably the oldest Disney Prince. He is suave, charming, funny, and greedy, which some people say is a copy of Aladdin since they are both charming thieves. What is interesting about him is that he created an identity for himself that is based off of a character in his favorite book because he was insecure about his past and wanted an audacious lifestyle. A lot of boys pretend to be someone else, so they can be accepted, and/or to prevent themselves from getting hurt, and he did this because he was ashamed of his childhood, which a lot of us are. But the problem is that his lifestyle on the run has turned him into a sleazy, selfish com man who charms his way out of every situation, but of course that all changes when me meets Rapunzel. He is a fun, likable, and enjoyable character to watch, but he brings nothing new to the Princes, just like Rapunzel and the Princesses, and he is a bit too similar to Aladdin fr my liking.
3. Eric
Prince Eric is by far the most humble Prince of them all. He is also the first prince to be a 2-dimensional character, and to have actual hobbies/interests (he is a mariner and a helmsman). He also enjoys music, as he is often seen playing the flute by himself. He is also very shy and introverted which is interesting because a lot of the other princes are the exact opposite if introverted, and he is very shy and nervous about girls, even though he is called handsome by both Ariel and Ursula, and is commonly known for being the best looking prince. Though he is an all around cool guy, he is not exactly the brightest person out there. His love for Ariel is pretty shallow, he does not have the best memory (as he saw some of Ariel when he awoke), he is easily manipulates, and is implied t be illiterate. He is interesting and mysterious, but the top two are much livelier than he is
2. Naveen
Prince Naveen is different from all of the other princes. He is initially lazy, arrogant, and a go-with-the-flow playboy, which is interesting because none of his predecessors even gave the slightest of being a flirt and a playboy. He is the exact opposite of the "Classic Prince" stereotype, and when his parents cut him off, he needs to learn responsibility and the capability to love instead of lust for someone and at the end of the story, he becomes a noble man and learns a lot about himself that he never realized beforehand. He is also interested in Music/Dance, and talks about his family (which is rare for a prince to have a hobby and a family. I think he is the only one to have a mother). People have said that his character development is too quick, and is very likely for him to go back to his old ways, since he gets bored very quickly. Him and all of the ones previously mentioned has not had the most attention, media, and development as the #1.

He is adventurous, daring, generous, fun, insecure, and he has had the most growth out of all of the princes and most importantly, his growth was not rushed. His father has left his family to make a better living for his family, and his mother was killed by bandits, which all happened in his toddler hood. Because of his upbringings, he knows to value and cherish what he has. He wants t do the right thing and does not want to thieve, but he has legit no other way to survive, and he only steals the amount that him and Abu will need (instead of for wealth and adventure), and will give back to those less fortune than him. Even though he does lie to Jasmine,which I do not approve of, he has the best intentions, and you can tell he genuinely cares for her. Everybody has lied before and will continue to lie, but if they are lying whenever they open their mouths, then that is a problem. His courage, bravery, adventurousness, selflessness, and growth over the 3 movies and the TV series has proven him to be the best Disney Prince.

I left all nostalgia behind so my list changed a lot. I guess it's also because when I first joined Fanpop, I only knew the Princesses on the surface level and I based my opinions on that. I also had to re-watch all the movies, I hope it won't change again for a while. I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but I'd love to argue if you disagree :) I like all of them so it's hard for me to put some at the bottom. Anyway, here goes.

Next time Snow, next time.
I know I have not been doing as much articles and countdowns as I used to, but things have gotten busy for me. I am trying to get back into my flow of constant participation, but it will take some time. Anywyas, by guessing what the title is, you know what I am going to talk about. This is by no way meant to insult fans or to completely throw a hate fest. It is just my opinion. 10 is the least overrated, and 1 is the most, and just because something is the least overrated, does not necessarily make it the most underrated.

Bland, snobbish seeming guy no one cares about....
Looking at these results, I can understand why some Princesses appeal to the general public more. A total of 18 users took part in this countdown and I averaged out the rankings. I included Anna and Elsa because I think they are both such fun characters to analyze. Anyway, the title says it all, enjoy! :)

Yeah so this is my opinion which DP some people here look like. And I admit that my opinion can be far away of what you think and my opinion which one they look isn't in any way "right"one. This is really.. eh.. simple article but well I tried to be simple.
