My opinions change every few years. One thing that hasn't changed yet is the top three. I can switch them around but no other princess has become apart of the trio and none of the trio have fallen to 4th place or lower. This isn't just about DP fashion, character personalities and my personal favourites. It's about relation. If a particular style is similar to my own comfort zone, type of clothing, clothing colours, etc. I will comment on it. Enjoy!

13) Merida

I like celtic dresses and celtic flower designs. They're very pleasing to the eye. But I prefer purple and red dresses. Merida's Princess dress doesn't suit her at all. It's too flashy and I don't like her weird headdress. Her other dress in my opinion looks better in dark blue than forest green. She's the first little princess to wear black in a non-funeral scene. I don't like Merida's wardrobe. It's too dark for me.

I don't like her clothes. They suit her character culture and her personality. But as a personal taste I think it's boring. Her under clothes are cute but pink doesn't suit her her skin tone. Thankfully she wore other clothes over it. But I didn't like her ball gown either. I do love her mother's necklace though. That's really only thing I like.

11) Snow White

I like the red on her maiden's dress. A Disney Princess dress is my opinion, a ball gown or something formal but with different design to an normal everyday outfit. I like the blue bodice but don't like the lighter blue, brown or pale yellow. In some scenes the skirt looks brighter in shade, which I like. But in most scenes it's too light. I used to dislike the white high collar but now I think it compliments it. Plus the signature colours that represent Snow White and her mother comes into balance. Black, white, red.

10) Rapunzel

Her style is adorable. But for me it's too sweet. I like her everyday dress and wedding dress especially in the sunlight but her Princess dress is too light for my taste. I don't like that shade of pink. I think that's the problem. Too little girlish. I love the shade of purple though and the patterns on all dresses. She's eighteen years old. Does it seems like they copied from Barbie: Rapunzel? It seems that way to me. One style of dress and the colours used.

9) Tiana

I like her blue dress with sparkles and her white dress she wears in a memory dream world created by Dr F. The green lilypad dress is unique and creative. The dress she wore at the end is nice but the high neck bothers me. It seems over the top in a conservative way. I prefer a sweetheart neckline on her or something equally as flattering. I'm neutral about the rest of her dresses. They're not my favourite but they're not terribly horrible either.

8) Cinderella

The iconic wardrobe. I have a love and hate relationship with her wardrobe. A lot of her clothes are old fashioned which may or may not fit the time period (whenever it was set). It's 50's fashion, I know. But some part of me wishes they were more historically accurate. I liked two of her dresses in the original film and two in the sequels. But there's a catch. I don't like her pink and white dress actually on her unless it's ripped. I like the dress whilst hanging up and through the whole dress making scene. But on her, no. She can rock bows as a child but not as a young adult. I'm not sure about her magical ballgown. I like it as long as it's not too up close or too far away. I don't like her shoulder...pads? I only like the dress when it sparkles without it's just a plain dress that is white and light grey masquerading as silver. Silver isn't silver without some kind of bling or sparkle. I liked her aquamarine ballgown and her first wedding dress but only in third film. I didn't like it in original film. I'm neutral with her servant dress. The others from the sequels I just don't like.

7) Mulan

My first favourite cultural dress is India dresses from sarees to lehenga's to salwar kameez. My second favourite is chinese dresses. The ones with the long sleeves. I think you can guess my favourite dress...the pink matchmaker one. But I also like the very brief purple one she wore at her engagement party in the sequel. But although it's not my favourite colours, I like her green one. That she seemed very comfortable in at the start of the film. I'm a girly girl so her father's army uniform doesn't do it for me. The saving China dress suited her in the night's sky of the city but it's not my favourite. I also didn't like her two sequel wedding dresses and the headdress that came with the first one. I like her Pj's though.

6) Elsa

I love her snow queen dress and her Frozen Fever, springtime dress. I love how elegant and glittering they are. I like her cloak she wears over her queen's dress. I'd like the whole of her queen's dress more if her hair was tied up differently. I think it's the hairstyle that puts me off. The design of dress is lovely and I like the colours used. But everything else just isn't me. Too much blue for my personal taste. Could be another reason for being down. You know how blue = depression.

5) Anna

I love three of Anna's dresses. Her Princess dress, the travelling dress and cloak, and her springtime dress in Frozen Fever. The great thing about Anna's dresses is that each and almost every one of them comes in all shades - light, dark, bright and maybe a bit medium. It's unique and I hope it stays like this. She's not higher though because there's too much green in her wardrobe.

4) Ariel

The only one of her dresses in the first film that I don't like very much is her evening dress. I've warmed to her blue dress over the years. I used to hate it. Ironic, I used to love her light purple transformation dress, but now I dislike it. I like almost all of her sequel outfits except the green one when they're on a ship searching for Melody. It makes her look like a much older woman. I love her pink night gown, purple ball gown and wedding dress. I dislike 80's shoulder pads though. But I suspect that I'm in a minority because I'm neutral about it when it comes to Ariel. I know from observation on this spot that quite a lot of people hate them with passion.

3) Aurora

So graceful and so elegant on both dresses. Though the blue Princess dress is more pleasing to the eye in colour. She looks beautiful in both blue and pink. Her peasant dress is a bit dull. In personal opinion, if her peasant skirt was purple I think she'd look more lovely. I love the design of her princess dress. And her almost druid style hooded cloak. I love this dress so much! Her sequel pink dress is dark pink instead of hot pink but she looks pretty. Her sequel hair on the other hand is terrible. I like her blue night gown. But dislike her magical yellow dress with passion.

2) Belle

2nd Place

Out of the European Princesses, Belle's wardrobe is my childhood favourite. She used my favourite princess as a child. I cannot put her lower and I cannot place her higher. So this is the perfect rank for her. I love her blue dress, pink dress with the cloak, yellow ball gown and Christmas dress. I'm not sure about her green one. What I love about Belle's clothing is it looks so comfortable and sleeves are different on each one. Not over the top. Classy, sophisticated, rich. But not in gaudy way. I can relate to Belle in sleeves. But it depends on the weather. I'm not as brave as Belle to wear four-quarter sleeves in the winter, out in the snow.

1) Jasmine

1st Place
1st Place

Jasmine is a fashionista! She has an extensive wardrobe. She looks good in every colour of the rainbow and more. She looks good in outfits and dresses. For different seasons etc. Hijabs and more. What's not to like? It all matches her personality, her lifestyle, her attitude and her royal but rebellious background. The picture above only shows her movie outfits. But there's a TV series full of even more outfits and dresses. My favourites are well lets just say I like 21 outfits, six of them are dresses. I was very sneaky and included two doll dresses. The holiday dress and the exclusive designer couture dress. The other dresses are a very modest one from the TV series with a hippie like headband and flower in her hair, two dresses of the same design but in different colours and different fabric over skirts and an extremely modest one that she made to wear as the bride of the undead from the TV series (very conservative with multiple layers).

Have a look at the whole list and two further links for better quality pictures of outfits from the TV series through fan art. There's one dress missing from all three links. Which is the royal engagement dress but with a solid white over-skirt and in pink.

Jasmine is like me. I prefer wearing trousers or crops everyday depending on the weather. But I will switch to a gypsy skirt or dress depending on the weather or for special occasions. Jasmine seems to be same. But like her sometimes, just a beautiful top and trousers is what's needed. I know Jasmine's tops are skimpy but it still counts. One small negative, her regular outfit is overused in the merchandise, I miss the days in the 90's and 00's where one could buy DP in all the different outfits from the their movies. I never got to buy the purple dress, couldn't find at Disneyland Paris in 2000. I bought her end engagement outfit though. Still feel a little sad that I missed my chance. You see back in the 90's my favourite princesses were Belle and Ariel. So I bought mostly Ariel and Belle dolls. I didn't became a Jasmine fan until later on. Like 2000 onwards. I didn't catch them in the 00's either though because the Disney Store nearest to me is half an hour away and we didn't go to that out of town shopping centre very often.
