Another fun idea that came to mind, we take two princesses see just how much they have in common. I wanted Pocahontas and Rapunzel first because Punz is a pretty good balance of qualities found in the classic, renaissance and revival princesses so it's easy to do this with her. Plus, it's a very common misconception that Poca is just this peaceful spiritual wise soul, and that's only half of her personality. What better way to debunk that than to compare her to the one of the bubbliest princesses

At first glance because Pocahontas looks mature and Rapunzel looks youthful, some would assume they're opposite but they're actually both rather on the playful and childish side. They both enjoy running around, being active and playing games. They're both curious and have a thirst for adventure and knowledge. Pocahontas was very eager to learn more about John Smith's "village", while Rapunzel just wants to learn more about the world outside her tower.

They're both also rather indecisive and torn between their loyalty to their loved ones and their personal desires, with Rapunzel constantly second guessing herself about disobeying her mother to see the lights while Pocahontas is conflicted on whether to continue running off to see John Smith or to stay in the village. Probably the most obvious parallel is dreams of the "spinning arrow" (Poca) and the "floating lights" (Punz), abstract entities they just feel must "mean something". So, like other princesses, they're both dreamy but on a somewhat deeper level.

While both are hesitant to break rules or disappoint others, Pocahontas is significantly more free spirited, she does what she wants and sort of just follows her heart and goes with the flow. Rapunzel at least tries to have a bit more of a logical game plan when she makes decisions. In this sense, if they were friends, Punz would be Poca's "Nakoma" while Poca would be Punz's "Pascal". However, they both possess a quality of bringing out the best in others, like the settlers and the thugs, as well as their love interests.

As stated before, Pocahontas does have a wise, graceful and mature side to her, she is confident when it comes to certain things like nature, where as Rapunzel is just generally wide eyed and innocent. But overall, they're both playful, philosophical, indecisive, inquisitive, and inspiring to others around them.

10.The Chinese Recruits vs. Themselves
What can be said? This is a hilarious battle that poor Mulan started that resulted in a big pile up at the end. But it's not a serious battle, nor is it significant to the movie in any way. It's just a fun little fight.

"Hilarious, but not really significant. :P" (aiemerrysirius)

"This is pure silliness." (tigerranma)

Probably the most comical fight in disney history. Each of...

Basically I'm going to address what people tend to think about the princesses, when it is indeed not true, or at least not entirely.

Snow White
Can't really say anything about Snow White. People are really dead on about her. She sweet, caring, joyful, old fashioned and kinda stupid. I wish I could defend her but I can't. All the negative stuff people say about Snow are completely true, as well as the positive. The only misconception I can come up with, is that everyone thinks she's happy all the time. But there's one scene where she's crying but she almost immediately bounces back. So,...

 10. Mulan & Shang
"True love begins when nothing is looked for in return." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery
"True love begins when nothing is looked for in return." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery

This really shouldn't come to anybody's surprise. Throughout most of the film Shang believes that Mulan is actually a man. I don't doubt for one second that they don't love and respect each other, but we don't get to see any romance between them (not including the sequel). They never dance, never serenade each other with a romantic song.
"I like that Mulan's and Shang's Love story starts with a friendship - not that we see much of the actual love story, but what's there...

In honor of the beautiful Princess of the Month, Ariel, I decided to write this article and decide what the most popular/favorite song is. Here we go...

"Fathoms Below"
"Fathoms Below"

"I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue
And it's hey to the starboard, heave-ho
Look out lad a mermaid be waiting for you
In mysterious fathoms below
Fathoms below, below
From whence wayward westerlies blow
Where Triton is king and his merpeople sing
In mysterious fathoms below
Below, below
Mysterious fathoms below"

This is the opening song from The Little Mermaid. This is where we first meet Prince Eric, and most of...

I thought it would be good to see in which order are previous hairstyles eliminated. I would specially like to thank to all people who were voting, because we had some issues, like rigging and that, so I have to redo half of this, but I hope that results are almost fair

40.Mulan’s soldier updo:
“It's not pretty, she looks like a guy which is kinda the point” (KataraLover)

This hairstyle was eliminated with 50% among 40 other hairstyles in the first round. No wonder, I mean, look at it

39. Ariel with hat:
“She looks like Icabod Crane” (founten)

Some people don't even remember...

Lyrics speak for themself

"Then a hero comes along
with the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
Because you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone,
Look inside you and be strong
Then you finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you"

Ariel: "A Place in this World" Taylor Swift
I chose this song for Ariel because how she feels how of place, and nobody is backing her up on it

"I'm alone, on my own
And that's all I know
I'll be strong, I'll be wrong
Hey, but life goes on
Oh, I'm just a girl
trying to find a place in this world"

After all the hype, merchandise and racial debate The Princess and the Frog finally made it to the big screen, jam packed with a variety of different aspects that where inspired by other media. However not one of my favourite princess films, I can appreciate it was a good attempt and can enjoy certain aspects of its story. Now lets look at the concoction of literature, previous films and art stirred together in the Gumbo pot to make Disney's latest fairy tale.

The original text that the film's plot was loosely based of which is a novel released only 7 years prior in 2002 with the title...

Well, Diluka wanted another one, and here it is. Yeah, I don’t follow the order of the movies this time around; I’ll jump a little bit between the earlier and the later ones. And with “The Little Mermaid” I think it’s the best to work through the elements of the story point to point to show, where Disney moves away from the source text and where it (surprisingly) doesn’t. But before we come to that, I want to point out something: The source text is in this case much different compared to the ones of the Grimm fairy tales. Those were a collection of preexisting oral lore. While the...
