Each Disney Princess has two very different forms that Disney uses- they each have the version from their classic movie, but they also each have a franchise version. And these two versions aren't the same necessarily. Some princesses looks were thought to have changed significantly in the change from paper and screen to Disney Princess bikes and Disney Princess beds and the like. Other princesses had changes less pronounced. So here is the rank, going from most changed to least changed princess from movie to franchise versions.

9. Cinderella

Poor, poor Cinderelly... as the "leader" of the Disney Princess franchise, Cinderella has received a massive makeover from the version in her movie made over fifty years ago. Strikingly different about the franchise Cinderella is the color of her hair and dress, which went from dirty blonde to blonde and from silver to a sky blue shade. Apart from massive recoloration, some say that Cinderella also has different eyes, too. Cinderella has surely come a long way from her appearance in her movie.

"Yeah, let's go ahead and make her dress SKY BLUE and then give her BANANA YELLOW HAIR. Seriously, WTF were they THANKING?"- firegirl1515

"Wrong dress color, wrong hair color, wrong eyes too even!"- founten

"They even messed up her stunning face. ;______; "- Straggy

"Definetly dress, hair and all."- BKG201

8. Aurora

It should come as no surprise that the extremely carefully drawn in her movie Aurora would be very hard to replicate in the franchise. The franchise Aurora has undergone major changes from the Aurora that we know in Sleeping Beauty. Aurora's hair has gone from platinum blonde to a bright golden blonde shade. And her dress, which was blue for most of Sleeping Beauty, apparently acquiesced to Flora's wishes and became pink. The fans also think that Aurora's face shape has changed significantly, and she was thought to look more like a Barbie than the Aurora we know.

"Her hair colour is wrong, her face shape is wrong and her dress colour is wrong. Honestly Disney, did you even look at Aurora before you drew this?"- Straggy

"she looks like a barbie"- prettyangel92

"All her colors are different and her face is not drawn the same."- TigerRanma

"Her hair is more blonde than in her movie. Her face looks different, and it's also not fair that she isn't advertised in blue. It always has to be pink. Aurora looks more a Barbie doll with her that look."- PrincessVandal

"She looks compleatly different from what Aurora looked like in the movie."- VGfan30

7. Pocahontas

Pocahontas's looks were also considered to have changed significantly in the franchise. While she wasn't thought to have huge changes in her dress and hair like Cinderella and Aurora, she still was considered to have changed a lot. Noticed changes of Pocahontas's in her franchise version include that her copper skin turned orange, her face dramatically made a turn for the worse (a facial comparison picture below), and while Pocahontas is often considered to be the oldest princess, she probably put on a few years along the way to the franchise.

"Her skin looks orange"- KataraLover

"her face looks jacked up to me."- princesslullaby

"I think she looks a lot older, and not in a good way."- VGfan30

6. Ariel

While the massive recoloration issues that were large issues with the prior three princesses mentioned were largely absent, franchise Ariel still had her own share of lack of consistencies from her original version. The fans think that Ariel, like Pocahontas, has aged too much in the franchise, and since Ariel is widely considered to be one of the younger-looking princesses, that is a big change. Ariel's hair and eyes were thought to have gotten smaller as well.

"Ariel doesn't have the big forehead anymore, her eyes are supposed to be bigger and more innocent looking. All in all, she doesn't look like a 16 year old girl anymore."-madisonsavanna

"Her face isn't the right shape and her hair isn't big and 80s enough."- Straggy

5. Snow White

Considering that she was the first Disney Princess, it might be surprising that she was not considered by the fans to be one of the most changed princesses from movie to franchise. But she still has her fair share of changes. Snow White in the franchise lost her childish body, somewhat lessened the plumpness in her face, decreased the roundness, even some say they changed two of her unique features- her cute smile and her snow-white skin.

"Body shape wrong, face shape wrong, eyes wrong."- PrincessVandal

"Apart from the hair and the dress, that's not Snow White. Either that or she's had extensive plastic surgery, coloured contacts and a very drastic diet, boob job and corset training."- Straggy

"They messed up her face shape, body shape, and changed her eyes completely."- firegirl1515

"Her skin isn't as pale anymore, different body shape, eyes need to be rounder, they even changed her sweet little smile D: Where's the eye squinting?"- madisonsavanna

4. Belle

One of the more similar princesses to their movie counterparts according to Fanpop was Belle. She still had recoloration issues though. Even though she is one of the three main princesses in the franchise, she didn't receive major coloration changes like Cinderella and Aurora did. Still though, she did have more minor changes. The big thing that bugged most was that, like with many other princesses, Belle's eye shape changed significantly. But still, Belle has varied a lot through her movie, making her harder to compare than other princesses. Since most differences have to deal with her face, a facial comparison is provided.

"her eyes look a little goofy to me"- alafastanzio

"Her eye's look too amond"- KataraLover

"I picked Belle, because her looks always seem to be inconsistant."- DreamyGal

"Her eyes are hazel, but it was changed to brown."- PrincessVandal

3. Mulan

Overall, the fans believe that these last three princesses haven't changed as much as the prior six at the article. Many think that Mulan looks very similar to her movie self before she went to war. However, some say that Mulan was made to look more feminine for the princess lineup, and others think she just doesn't look right in her lineup version.

"She doesn't look like her normal self. As if she was forced to look this feminine."- PrincessVandal

"She looks weird"- BKG201

"Mulan looks like she does in the beginning of her movie."- TigerRanma

"Her hair's not the right colour."- Straggy

"I guess, though her face changes a lot in her movie anyway."- TigerRanma

2. Tiana

Earning a very high place on the countdown was the newest entry into the Disney Princess lineup... since Tiana's movie was released very recently, they don't have too much time to change her design! Tiana in general was considered to be relatively similar to her movie counterpart, except with numerous facial differences, involving her eyes, skin color, and nose.

"Her nose is too small and her eyes look different."- kenzieiscool

"Hey eyes don't look quite as "cartoony" as they appear in the movie, and her skin tone even looks different...she's still beautiful though!"- DreamyGal

"They've slimmed down her face and given her cat-like, upturned eyes, as well as slimming down her nose. She basically looks like a black Jasmine."- princesslullaby

"She has a thinner face and slimmer, cat-like eyes. Last time I checked, Tiana didn't look like a cat in her movie."- firegirl1515

1. Jasmine

One princess though, has had even less changes than Tiana according to the fans. Some say that Jasmine's eyes and hair have slightly changed, but these changes were thought to be minor compared to the other eight princesses. And plus, Jasmine doesn't look that realistic anyway... how many girls that look like her do you expect to see every day? The faas thought her very cartoony image makes it easier to merchandise her as well without too many edits. Overall, movie Jasmine was thought to look very similar to franchise Jasmine, so thus, Jasmine is the princess whose movie version is thought to be most similar to her franchise version.

"I don't think Jasmine looks the same as in her movie. And where's her blue eyeshadow?"- TigerRanma

"Jasmine looks almost exactly the same besides the fact that her hair looks more like a hood and her eyes are a bit smaller."- VGfan30

"Jasmine looks pretty much spot on"- Straggy

"Her eye's are too small"- KataraLover

"Jasmine definitely looks a lot like what she was in her movie. I believe it's due to her cartoony image which makes it easier to make her more detailed in merchandise."- PrincessVandal
This is another sequel I haven't seen in forever. Longer than forever, actually. I would say I'm excited to watch this but after Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World I'm not looking forward to watching this one.

Tonight's rewatch: Cinderella II: Dreams Come True
Last time watched: 2002

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The beginning of this story is exactly the same as the one about Pocahontas 2; I wasn't into the original that much when I was a kid, but then this cartoon Disney movie with familiar faces came out, begged my dad to get me a copy, fin. But unlike Pocahontas 2 I actually did...

Here's the article for Pocahontas!

I know in the past I've made comments about how I don't like this movie because it's been said that the tale of Pocahontas saving John was a lie and I've also said I can't stand Pocahontas and John together because it's gross Pocahontas was aged up for this movie. However I will watch this movie and just enjoy it without thinking about those things.

By now you should all know what I write about in these articles so I'll just go ahead and start!

Tonight's rewatch: Pocahontas
Last time watched: Summer of 2011

Tangled is my favorite Disney movie for many reasons besides the wonderful storyline and beautiful imagery. I really relate to Rapunzel in so many ways. I try to be optimistic and see the beauty in the small things in life. I try to stay hopeful and occupy my time with many hobbies. I have so many interests and love learning about them and learning about the world and other cultures. We also share physical features, brown hair and green eyes, and prefer walking outside barefoot. I also have some German heritage, so I relate to her that way as well.

My mother also acts a lot like Mother Gothel....

While it hasn't been confirmed, various clues have pointed to Moana eventually joining the Disney Princess lineup. This process only involved 20+ users, which I think is a good thing, we'll save the BIG survey for after Moana's official coronation. That's why I didn't ask for comments or use fancy pics. Since the pool of users is so small, I wouldn't say these results are absolute and concrete. This is just a small preview of where Moana as well as the other princesses stand.

Now with all the issues, people have with Disney, one of the films that have legitimate grievances is Pocahontas. And as you can imagine, because there ARE legit grievances to be had with Pocahontas, sites like Tumblr have an absolute field day with it. Personally, the more research I did on the situation around this film, the more I was actually fascinated by it.

I know it's easy to write this movie off but how it came to be is a lot more nuanced than you think. It actually was gonna be a story closer to what happened in history but then Jefferey Katzenberg's overwhelming desire to get another...

Though not nearly as much as Merida and other revival princesses,Tiana is occasionally bashed for contributing to Disney's current trend of "meta", "woke" commentary with her whole "hard work, you can't just wish" shtick. While this does irritate me, I try to separate film makers' intentions from the actual context of the movie and the character.

In the first act of the film, she's portrayed as diligent and determined but she's not as in your face about it. For the most part, her thing is "partying and dancing just isn't my for me". She's not insistent, condescending or critical of others for...

As asteriamalfoy recently reported on the club wall, it appears that Moana will soon become the newest member of the Disney Princess lineup. The club's reception to the news is a mixed bag, which is the latest example of how the general Fanpop opinion (namely, this club's opinion) doesn't always match that of the internet. It's interesting why that is, and I will attempt to find the reason here.

Before going forward, be aware that everything that I consider an "opinion" of Fanpop and/or the internet is a generalization. True, there are some users on both this website and the rest of the worldwide...

I finally worked out how to do this. My mistake was mixing too many languages together which made it impossible to translate it back into full English. That's why Snow White's paragraph came back with only one sentence. I've done a remake of it with funny results including Cinderella and Aurora's stories.

Snow White's Background

"Snow White was born into the royal family. Her mother died shortly after her birth. After some time, Snow White's father remarried a vain and cold-hearted queen. Not long after their marriage, the King, Snow White's...

I am decided to sort DPs to Hogwarts Houses. I'll illustrate this article with pictures where each DP best exhibits the traits of house she belongs( Gryffindors do something risky, Hufflepuffs are doing something useful or exhibit frinedliness, Ravenclaws read or explore something, Slytherins are tricking someone or dream about something). Warning: I have some unpopular opinions but I'll try to explain them. This is how I interpretent Hogwarts Houses and their values:
Gryffindors are first of all are brave, courageous, outspoken and risky. They are also often progressive, rebellious, mischievous,...

Cinderella Castle and Wishing Well

I've written many posts about the various attractions in Disney theme parks based around the films I've been watching. Some have been prominent rides such as Snow White's Scary Adventure or Pinocchio's Daring Journey. Others have been obscure areas such as the Fantasia golfing attraction or ephemeral like Bambi's presence in the parks. Some have merely been meet and greets.

Cinderella, however, is a film whose impact on Disney theme parks is huge. It forms, after all, the centre-piece of Disney World itself - Cinderella's Castle; a massive structure visible...

A Disney Tale: A young girl is forced into drudgery by her step-family, only to win the heart of the kingdom's Prince and live happily ever after.

Disney Hero: Ostensibly, the 'hero' of Cinderella is the Prince (never actually referred to as Prince Charming, despite that being what he is generally known as today. Some sources have him named as Henry.). It is he who romances Cinderella and desires her as his wife after the ball. But, actually, the real heroes of Cinderella - for me - are Jaq and Gus, Cinderella's mice friends. They are the one's who rescue Cinderella from her attic room. Jaq...
