Bonjour! So this is a top-twelve countdown of my favourite Disney villains. Pretty simple, I guess. (WARNING - contains spoilers)
So shall we begin?
12. Governor Ratcliffe (Pocahontas)
And he came so highly recommended
I hate this dude because he's greedy and selfish and actually kind of stupid and blind through his greed and love of gold. He pretends to go on the voyage to help other people find their lives but instead utilises them for his own benefits and not theirs. When he is told that there is no gold in Virginia, he turns blind and possessed, and will stop at nothing to make sure...
13. Snow White They look creepy for most of the movie. I'm jealous of her lashes though and the dark eye shadow really suits her.
12. Merida The color is pretty but my main grip with Merida's eyes is that they appear to have no lashes. I don't mind so much in real life but I think all animated female characters should have apparent eyelashes, whether individual or multiple.
11. Pocahontas Some people say she has such soulful eyes but I don't really see it, they look a bit lifeless and dead to me. I wish her eyes would display more emotion.
I've never done this before. And as a new user, I'm pretty sure that I'm dipping into a kind of no-man's land, here.
I primarily judge Disney princesses not by their looks or anything, but by their character, and by their plot-lines. Some of the Disney princesses are less developed than others, in my opinion, and that might be partially due to the story/plot-line itself ( as most of Disney is adaptation-based).
Some of the characteristics of each princess I find admirable, while other traits I just find...for lack of a better term...irritating. Yeah.
This girl is beautiful, kind, intelligent and is able to see the true beauty within
Bonjour! OK, I know some of you have been waiting for this one, so I'll do my best to make it alright. Beforehand I spoke about the four before them - Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and Ariel. Even though I'm not very fond of Cinderella, writing about her and defending her made me appreciate her more. All of the princesses have wonderful qualities, it's just a shame that people seem to remember the bad ones instead. Or make up bad ones.
Belle is my favourite. (I love Elsa too though). She's intelligent, beautiful and completely flawless in my opinion. So I had a bit of a problem with...
Bonjour! In my last article I defended both Cinderella and Snow White. Now I'm going to defend Aurora and Ariel.
Most people either have a love or hate relationship with Aurora. I love her, but she's not my favourite. Everyone complains that she has an underdeveloped personality and she does nothing, but most of all, people are frustrated about the fact that her eyes change colour. In contrast, I don't believe she has an underdeveloped personality at all. Out of all the Disney Princesses, she has the least screen-time, (I think it was eighteen minutes or something) and I think Disney...
Hey everyone, lately I've begun to watch Once Upon a Time, in case you're wondering yes I like it but I haven't finished season 1 yet, and that got me wondering about how the princesses would be as regular people in real life. I have based my descriptions on the way they act in their film and the way people usually see them along with my own thoughts on each of them. Hope you like it. Please comment:) Let's begin.
Snow White I imagine Snow being one of those ultra positive, always cheerful girls who are very active in town affairs and very well known by everyone. I see her having many...
I held a poll recently that revealed people liked to read articles that were either countdowns or articles about DP characters who were NOT the princess. To satisfy these requests, I decided to make this (sort of) countdown about the DP Princes titled: DP Princes - Are they decent role-models? (Credit to dimitri who gave me the idea :))
To make this countdown shorter, I have taken a sample of princes to examine (there are two from each era): Prince/Florian/Ferdinand/Buckethead/Whatever you want to call him - Snow White
Come on, we all know Azula would really win! (art by kissyushka)
I'm not entirely satisfied with some of the middle placings (like I am with basically every list I write, for some reason) and I'm a bit unsure if the top two are correctly placed, but here's who I guess would win or at least last the longest in the Game of Thrones, who would sit atop the Iron Throne. I really tried to be objective. You might be surprised by some of the rankings.
14. Anna. Anna has freakish super strength, good leadership skills, is very warm, but she never has a game plan and has shown to be easily manipulated. Like Renly Baratheon, she has a very romantic, idealistic look...
I've already ranked their films so now I will rank the princesses individually. Share your thoughts. My opinions are always changing so this list might not always be the same in my head. 13. Aurora I love her film but she really is the worst, most boring part of it. Sure, she's beautiful and has one of the best singing voices of any princess but she is just so bland. And I can't place a character who only appears for around 18 minutes any higher on this list. She's nice but really needed more of a personality especially since her film has such memorable characters. 12. Cinderella I used to think...
This stunning picture of Elsa helped her obtain her second best picture in the competition Credit to:selinmarsou
Previously on DNTM: The girls fight to win in a photo shoot challenge and the models pose in fashion dresses and needed to be elegant. Elsa, Ariel and Belle all do well while Pocahontas and Cinderella struggled. Cinderella was the model to be sent home. Only 7 princesses remain. Who will be eliminated next?
Confessionals After Elimination: Elsa: I got best picture so I am happy but Cinderella was a friend of mine so I am sad she left.
Snow White: I am last classic princess left. I have to win this competition now for the classic princesses. Rapunzel: Cinderella left and there...
Previously on DNTM: Ariel and Jasmine made a truce and after a college themed photo shoot Mulan was eliminated. Who will be eliminated next?
Confessionals after the elmination: Snow White: I was sad that Mulan went home Anna: Mulan would always know what the Mickey Mails meant. What are we going to do know? Ariel: I was in the bottom two last week because of my photo and how I was distracted by drama. I have to improve. Rapunzel: I had a great photo again!
Lately my obsession for Pocahontas is growing, and although I've already made a "Why I Love" article for her, I just really wanted to write something else for her. The article will be a scene-by-scene review, so I'll start from the beginning and talk about every scene she's in till the end, so this article might get pretty lengthy. Anyways, I hope you enjoy :)
We first see Pocahontas up on a cliff thinking. I love how Pocahontas thinks things through and isn't at all impulsive. We then see her dive off the cliff, as opposed to going down the safer way. This shows Pocahontas's adventurous side...
