Rapunzel isn't feminist at all!

She has some endearing qualities but for the most part no, and that's why she's low on my list after having a spot at #4 for awhile. Being cute only gets you so far with me. She's entirely self involved once Flynn's in the picture, is a moral hypocrite and has no sense at all. Why would you trust thugs just because the like artsy things?? There are some pretty bad people in history who liked art, animals and cute blondes too.

And it sucks because they could have done an incredible message with this movie instead of being emotionally manipulative and showing that actions have no consequences and your parents aren't right about anything.

Absolutely! I admire her. I admire her optimism, her charisma, her ability to make friends and see best in everyone, her multiple talents and fashion style.
Is she feminist? Not sure. Many people mean "sassy and sexy" by this word and I love Rapunzel for lacking these traits and being sweet, innocent and virginal. I am very envious of her.

Better role model than the 3 classic Mary sues and even more feminist.

For the same reasons that Belle, Tiana, Merida, Ariel, Pocahontas, Mulan, and everyone else in the lineup is not a role model.

Rapunzel is just as flawed as all the rest of the DPs. Rapunzel doesn't obey her own instincts when she knows something is "off" about a situation. Rapunzel instead stays in the situation while it deteriorates around her. This does not make her a good role model.

There is not easy answer to someone being a good role model for someone else. Someone I consider a good role model may not be someone my sister considers a good role model. Everyone has good attributes and bad ones. Taking in account her whole journey and her growth throughout, yes I would consider her a good role model. Not stating all the reasons right now because it is an article worth of reasoning.
