Some Disney Leading Ladies
First things first, I am a female, and am straight.
I've read SOOOO many articles about this, that I decided that I should write my own. Now before I get started, let's get something straight. This was very hard for me to put in order, and right now, after stressing over it for what seems like forever, I'm not even sure if this is the order I want them in! Well anyways, Enjoy!
10. Megara or Meg -- Hercules
This sassy leading lady is a true-blood beauty. She sure won Hercules heart over at first sight. She has lush, beautiful, brown hair, that has lots of volume to it. I couldn't pass up putting Meg at #10.
9. Rapunzel -- Tangled
The most recent Disney princess makes my #9. She has long (super long in fact)) blonde hair, and light-emerald green eyes. She's certainly very pretty and seems to always have a curious look in her eyes and seems to be very handy with a frying pan!
8. Eilonwy -- The Black Cauldron
I'm disappointed greatly that because of the popularity of the movie (which wasn't very high) that Eilonwy's beauty often goes unnoticed. She's cute, and could be Aurora's daughter or sister. Her dark blonde hair is straight and is held with a black headband. This cutie makes my #8.
7. Alice -- Alice in Wonderland
I've always found Alice very cute. Her blonde hair and blue eyes goes well with her blue dress and white-apron-type-thingy over it. Although with her being so young I don't consider her pretty yet cute. This results in placing her at my #7.
6.Tiger Lily -- Peter Pan
Even though Tiger Lily has such a small role in Peter Pan, she is often credited for her beauty. This Indian Princess has much natural beauty and Peter Pan goes topsy-turvy for my #6, Tiger Lily, making Wendy quite jealous and a little bit angry at Peter. But, in Tiger Lily's defense, she is quite a beauty with black hair, and her little Indian outfit.
5. Jasmine -- Aladdin
Jasmine is an Arabian beauty. She's often known for her lush, raven black hair. Her tan skin contrasts very well with her aquaish outfit, and shows off her well-toned body. I'm suprised that not every man in Agrabah fell in love with her at first sight. I feel that Jasmine is very worthy for my #5.
4. Esmeralda -- The Hunchback of Notre Dame
This gypsy girl is almost always in everybodies top 5, and has made mine at #4. Although I have to say she defiantly deserves it, considering 3 men fall for her in her movie: Phoebus, Quasimodo, and Frollo. She's sassy, gorgeous, and not afraid to speak her mind. With beautiful black hair, and green eyes, she's defiantly a natural beauty.
3. Aurora or 'Briar Rose' -- Sleeping Beauty
This princess is beautiful. Her blonde ringlets, and violet eyes, go very well together, and has a very slender shape. This daydreamer looks great in almost anything, and can charm you with one smile. Her voice is like an angel's chorus, and got Prince Phillip to come and see who it was. Aurora is my #3
2. Ariel -- The Little Mermaid
Who doesn't love this little mermaid? She has beautiful red hair that is wavy and smooth, with LOTS of volume. Her smile is beautiful, and her pale skin ties everything together. And don't get me started on her voice, that enchanted Prince Eric, enough to marry this stranger. My #2 is Ariel.
And here comes #1! Drum-roll PLEASE!
1. Belle -- Beauty and the Beast
I'm not surprised that in French, Belle means beauty. The name fits her very well. Her brown hair, and almond-shaped brown eyes go together very nicely. Although her waistline is unrealistic, most princesses are.Belle has all the perfect qualities, which turns some people off, yet I think its all the more to like her. Her personality is awesome and is very brave. The beast was very lucky for someone like Belle to come along. And last, but certainly not least, Belle is my #1.
