I believe it can be removed once Voldemort is dead. The Dark Mark is some sort of calling code either from the Dark Lord to the Death Eaters or vice versa. Once Voldemort is dead I believe it becomes useless and maybe by using the Vanishing Spell I presume it disappears...correct me if I am wrong.

I read somewhere that it vanishes on it's own once Voldemort is dead. But leaves a scar. Thanks for answering though. It really helped!
The Dark Mark can't be removed because it was put onto a persons arm with powerful dark magic but after Voldemort dies, the dark mark fades into a scar.
