I have no idea why I kissed Courtney like that after she teased me. I guess I just wanted to cherish my moments with her because the last time I was with her I took it for granted.I just smiled at her, I kinda enjoyed seeing her staring in awe at my pleased expression. And then whaddaya know? Avril Lavigne's When You're Gone started to play. "I love you Courtney." I don't know why I did that either. But it was true what I said. It was time to drop the bad-boyjuvie-delinquent facade,(well part of it,) and start opening up to Courtney so she knew I cared. "Duncan, I love you, and I have always loved you,but I feel I must ask: Are you drunk?" I laughed because I knew she wasn't serious. "Why are you laughing? I-I was serious Du-" She started giggling and it gave her away. We leane in and kissed for a moment, then she whispered; " We're tied three three now Casanova." I just smiled and then she asked, "So doc, what do you specialize in?" "Well, I'm a medical and a surgical, and I specialize in...." "What is it?" Courtney asked. " I specialize in m-maternity and pediactrics." I said softly. "Wow." She said. "That's as bad as the Celine Dion thing!" "Oh shut it fashion queen. Or should I say,fashion princess?" I chuckled. Courtney softly punched me and said "Lame." Our coffees came and the waitress said "Pay at the counter. Just bring up this sheet." "I'll pay." Courtney volunteered. "No, I'll do it." "Oh. Thanks Duncan." Courtney sipped some of her latte and... Got some of the unusually huge pile of whipped cream on my cheek. I went to wipe it off, when Duncan said "Stay still I'll get it," he leaned over and kissed me, and sort of liked the whipped cream off my cheek. "Yum." he said. "That was odd," I said. Duncan looked crestfallen. "But sexy." I added. He smirked and he asked if he could have some. I said no. Well, not really I said; "Sharing is a nice gesture. Stupid but nice." He just laughed and said; "First off, you got that from the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups commercial, and secondly, how does that answer my question?" I smiled, about to reply, when suddenly my watch beeped, signifying that I had 5 minutes until class. "Oh Duncan, I'm sorry I-" "Save it princess.I'll pay and walk you back okay?" Sure" I said. "I'll wait outside." Then I noticed he wasn't next to me. "Coming Princess?" He said waiting at the door. "How did you-" I'll teach you later." I walked over and took his hand and pulled his arm over my shoulder. He held me close and we walked into the sun across the road. "Listen." He said. "I donthave class for two days, since my tour was canceled, so here's my address and phone number." He added passing me a small, delicate slip of red paper. "If you want me to drop by, or pick you up call me or stop over anytime. If you can't I understand you're busy and-" I cut him off by kissing him on the cheek.We were at the college now, so I said "I'll visit, ASAP I promise. Okay?" "Promise?" "Yes." "I love you Duncan. See you." I turned away but he pulled me back and said; "What kind of goodbye was that?" Then he kissed me and I left.I saw him walk to the parking lot and wave at me.
