Chapter 7: Temper

I was furious as I dialed Alice’s number. How could she let this happen again? I gave her a Porsche for God’s sake, and all she had to do was keep Bella in the house. My brothers and Carlisle were unmoving behind me, having heard the message and knowing how angry I would be. Jasper was desperately trying to send calming waves my way, but I was too far gone for them to even begin to help. Graduation day arrived at last. I couldn’t remember the last time I had been even remotely interested in a graduation ceremony, and yet today I was excited. Chapter 13: Declaration


We returned to school the next day, trying to keep life as normal as possible for Bella’s sake. We had decided to give ourselves a week to prepare to fight against the newborn army. Jasper was planning a few training sessions for us before then, and we were actually looking forward to them. The more prepared we were, the better chance we would have of coming out of Seattle unscathed. And we needed to be confident in our abilities to be triumphant.
