Everything was ready. Bella had her alibi in the form of a two day sleep over with 'Alice', that was easy enough. Her mind was slightly more at peace knowing that Charlie was fishing with Billy and that Angela, Ben, Mike and Jessica had gone to the concert. She also seemed almost comforted by the fact that in forty-eight hours, one way or another, this would all be over, as was I, somewhat at least. Now all we had to think about was tonight, I told myself.
Bella and I, completely alone. Although I had spent the night with Bella many times before, all while Charlie was suitably unconscious,...
When I woke up I went to the window and looked outside. It was overcast and windy. In other words it was a perfect day, and I wouldn’t have to go to school without Edward. He left and I was ready when he picked me up.
On our way to school I realized that I had never gotten an answer to my question last night. The one about whether Edward had rethought his carefully planned boundaries. But now wasn’t the best time. We were in the school parking lot. Edward opened my door and led me to my locker. The first bell rang.
As Bella swung the door open, her face was full of excitement. She slowly skimmed my face over, looking and remembering each part, engraving it into her mind. First my jaw, then my lips, as she looked at my lips, I so badly wanted to kiss her. With Charlie standing there I decided not to, it made me smile to think how Bella would react in front of Charlie.
She moved along to my cheek bones, my forehead, and then my eyes. As she focused her gaze upon my eyes, I heard her breathing hitch. Her heart started pounding, I reminded myself. Try not to dazzle her, which she never noticed that she dazzled...
Well at least I wasn’t the one pushing the boundaries this time. If Edward wanted more of me then I would give it to him. I wasn’t complaining. He then started moving his hand further up, going over my chest and then slid back down and he left his hand under my bra line. I opened my eyes in pure shock to find his open too. He smiled.
“Did you decide to rethink your boundaries?” I asked breathless again.
“ Did I do something you didn’t want me to do?” He asked alarmed.
“ No, it was nice actually” I said blushing a deep ruby.
“So. What is in your other hand?” I questioned since I had his left hand in both of mine. He was obviously keeping the right far away from me.
“I was going to wait, but since I’m all for cheering you up well…here you go!” He said as cheerfully as he could. But I could still see he was being cautious as if not to say or do anything that would easily hurt my feelings.
I don’t know how any material possession would cheer me up, but since everyone seemed to be acting as their opposites today, I was going to too. I sucked in a deep breath as he handed me the small package....
I'm trying to catch up on writing. I apologize and I thank those who are being patient with me :)
Chapter 17: Instruction
Bella was predictably silent for the rest of the night. Alice confirmed that she knew everything, and had been there for the conversation with the wolves. I knew she was lost in her thoughts, and I didn’t want to push her to talk before she was ready. Although I was anxious as to what her reaction was going to be.
We had come up with a plan of sorts in the meantime. We would get the newborns to split up, making it even easier on ourselves to take care of them. The finer details...
PLEASE COMMENT! TELL ME IF I SHOULD WRITE MORE! THANKS :D
Enough Bella, I’m not going to write notes anymore like a bunch of second graders. Your living the life you want to and now you have to deal with the consequences. I can’t handle this anymore. I’m protecting myself from getting hurt so don’t call, don’t write, and don’t even think about me! If I need to talk to you for any reason, I will get a hold of YOU. It won’t happen anytime soon so don’t hang out by the phone or anything….
I slowly dropped the rain soaked note back onto the kitchen table. Well if Jacob wanted...
I miss writing soooo much! Sorry! School is getting ahead of me! ^_^
Chapter 16: Alliance
“Bella?” I called to her as she paused at the top of the porch steps.
She turned to face me as I jumped up the stairs to meet her. I took her into my arms again, kissing her once more. I let my lips convey just how much I loved her, no matter what happened later, and she responded enthusiastically. She seemed taken aback by the passion of the kiss when we finally pulled away, but didn’t comment on it.
“Let’s get this stupid party over with,” she muttered while staring at the ground.
Graduation day arrived at last. I couldn’t remember the last time I had been even remotely interested in a graduation ceremony, and yet today I was excited. Despite her reservations, Bella had done well on her exams, and I knew she was proud of herself, as I was of her. And although I knew she wasn’t looking forward to it, the graduation party was going to be a good experience for her, and I was going to make sure she ended up having a good time. I had wanted to get her a gift for graduation, but she had insisted that I not spend any money on her, and finally I gave...
