I watched the Ed, Edd, and Eddy Big Picture Show this weekend, and I was very impressed. Hopefully you were, too. Here is what I thought about the movie, with its strengths and weaknesses.

The beginning was very well done, where the audience wants to know why Ed is trying to hide his posessions, why Double D is crying, and why Eddy is acting more strangely than normal. Of course, it has to do with one of their world-famous scams, but what was it that made them feel the need to run away? I was dying to know, but I never figured it out. I have some theories, but I would've liked to know.

The fact that this movie was a journey of theirs' made it very enthralling to watch. They actually went outside of their cul-de-sac, which seldom happens. They went through deserts, fields of "moo moos", a sunflower field, a joke shop, and finally, the carnival. All the while, the angry neighbor kids are trailing behind, as well as the Kankers.

And much like in every great TV to movie, we get to see all of the main characters. Since there aren't that many characters in Ed, Edd, and Eddy, it was made all the more special when Melon Head and Wonder Wood made a comeback. Since Johnny is one of my personal favorites, I loved how he showed his reliance on Plank when he decided to venture onto a bus for the first time. I thought it was very effective how they encorporated bits from the 130 previous episodes, which really added to the excitement of the movie.

Eddy, the one who usually blames Double D for his backfiring scams, actually takes the blame himself. His crying really showed how he could show humility and accept his mistakes. Double D's re-acceptance of Eddy shows how although the Eds have their differences, they really are friends.

Kevin has the most dialogue that I have ever seen. He actually went through complete sentences without the use of the word "dork" when talking to Nazz. It was pretty strange, but really helped to develop his character. Their relationship also began to blossom, but stopped when Kevin favored his bike over Nazz.

Much like in the South Park movie where Kenny was unveiled, we finally got to see the enigmatic Eddy's brother. However, we actually learn that Eddy made up everything about him, and that he is actually a jerk. I didn't like how that turned out, but it was very "Eddy" of him to make up things so people would like him.

The ending was great. A heartwaming scene, in which the cul-de-sac gang finally accepts Ed, Edd, and Eddy, "it only took 130 episodes, four specials, and a movie" for this to happen. I thought the song "Friends Are There To Help You" used in a previous episode was also excellent.

I agree with some critics that said how it is disappointing that we never learned what the scam was that made everyone so mad. That was the only weakness I saw in this movie. I guess it's up to our imaginations.

And so concludes the series. I'm dissapointed that they don't make episodes anymore, but this movie was a great way to give a good send-off to the Eds.

I loved this movie. I could watch it again and again!

"And, cut!" Eddy yelled, waving a hand in the air to signal for Dry Rain to stop. The band members quit playing, and looked up at him expectantly.

"Thats all," he winked, and Edd sighed with relief.

"What an exhausting day!" he chuckled. "I didnt realize staring in a music video would be so much work!"

It was a bright and beautiful Sunday afternoon in the cul-de-sac, which had been carefully reserved for the filming of Edds alternative band, Dry Rain, in their first music video. It had been a great idea by Eddy to sell copies of the video at the long-awaited Homecoming Dance this coming Friday....
